I've been coming here for 6+ years. I've lived in Philadelphia, Kansas and Maryland and tried other people but I count on my visits home to CT for superior eyebrow service (about every 3 months is good for me) Everyone is consistent with their work and there is no need to "request a specific person" which I've experienced with other threading places. The first time I went here I was greeted by a girl name serene- or something like that. She did my eyebrows phenomenally. She asked me what I wanted and I said I was trying to grow out my eyebrows. It was a pleasant experience. The second time I went I was greeted by a different woman. She made my eyebrows so thin, did sloppy work. It was a horrid experience which made me never want to go back here. Price: the price is fair and they have a student discount program in addition to a program where you visit a certain amount of times and you get a free threading. Employees: the employees are kind but they need to get trained in eyebrow threading. Location: it's located in Buckland Hills Mall which is very convienient. There is plenty of parking and plenty to do afterwards. read more

I got a comment back from someone who works there which I just saw now...saying that they are located in malls, so they believe their prices are reasonable. Again, when I say I pay $8 elsewhere, I'm talking about IN A MALL. I don't get my eyebrows threaded on a street corner or something, I don't know what you thought I meant. And let's not forget the fact that I paid $12 and got the poorest eyebrow threading of my life from a grumpy aesthetician. Try again. Ohhh your rent is high? So is mine. Grow up. read more

Terrible customer service.... From the workers to the corporate office!! The lady that did my eyebrows threaded half of my eyebrows OFF. She was very nasty and rude. She demanded that I leave the store. She refused to give me her name. I called the corporate off to explain what happened. They told me they would call me back haven't heard from them since. This is an okay place to do your eyebrows. The lady was nice enough to listen to me and she was willing to fix it. However she kind of messed up the end of my eyebrow on the right and the beginning of the left eyebrow did not match the right, the hairs are a bit short. It was okay and it was my first experience. Eyebrows are $11.70 if anyone wanted to know. read more

This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. The threaded was so rough and did a rush job. While doing my upper lip she managed to burn my skin and completely took the skin off and I now have a open cut in the crease of my mouth. She did not apologize and was very rude about the situation. My daughter went in to get her "Brooke Shields" eyebrows done and they came out really nice. The very kind lady who was working alone completed the service quickly and beautifully. Of course thick brows on a young lady are hard to mess up, but my girl can be twitchy and flinches at the slightest discomfort, much to my chagrin. The attendant was patient with her (maybe because she's a teen?). Anyhow, she was great! Because the salon I've been going to has such inconvenient hours, I thought why not give them a try for waxing my lower legs (only $20!!). I do have a high pain tolerance (probably what accounts for my impatience with my 'delicate' kiddo!), but really the beautician did a perfectly fine job, knew what she was doing and got the job done in no time. The wax was just the right temp and my skin was left soft and smooth. Couldn't ask for more in terms of the service except that I felt bad that she'd been left there all by herself. It was a weekday so not too busy, but I should think it would be lonely! I left out one star because the reading materials were rather dog eared and the decor a bit sparse. All the complaining about germs and unhygienic practices from some of the reviewers here gave me a bit of a chuckle. I frankly think is unwarranted. Take a course in microbiology and you'll find out there are many, MANY more microbes on your car keys and your cell phone (which you handle all day and set down everywhere) than any thread or tweezers. read more

I had been to miracle eyebrows twice. the first time it was wonderful job and they precisely shaped it in the way i wanted. but 2nd time i went, they used the 'used thread' which was supposed to be cut and thrown off once done with a customer. thats when i noticed that they never cut the thread once finished with anyone. it brought tiny balls all over my brow and forehead and grew red. completely unhygenic. and the waiting time is too long. I wont recommend this salon to anyone..the eyebrow technicians are careless, dont trim the brows the way you have want it. they keep claiming that this is the best suit for our face when they barely know on how we have been trimming it earlier. And they never had change sufficiently., they make us wait for almost 15-20 mins to collect the change from elsewhere and keep telling us that we are not giving in correct changes. read more

I only get my eyebrows done by Poppy (I'm not sure how to properly spell her name, but her name is pronounced like that) and she slays them every time. I've never had my eyebrows done by any other person in Miracle Eyebrows (and I won't), except from Poppy. I make sure to call before hand to see if she's in and let her know to clean my eyebrows up. If she decides to leave Miracle Eyebrows, I sure as hell will follow because she's the only person, besides myself, who I trust with my brows. I've been going to Miracle Eyebrows for a couple of years and I can only count 3 times where my eyebrows were of my liking. Mostly because I didn't allow my eyebrows to grow out fully. SO TERRIBLE. I went to this place because I had heard of threading and wanted to try it out. Bad idea. While the woman was threading my eyebrows I hear "oops... you can just pencil that in"... I have gone to Miracel Eyebrows about half a dozen times. Every time except the last time I went, it was excellent. I loved the results and my eyebrows looked fantastic. But the last time I went, the girl plucked to vigorously and took out of a piece of skin below my eyebrow which left a small scab. I suppose I should find a girl there who I like and just have her do the procedure. Most of them are great. Threading is definitely the way to go for eyebrow maintenance. Much better than waxing. And you pay anywhere between $8 and $15 for waxing anywhere else. read more

This was not my first time getting my eyebrows threaded and this hurt substantially more than any other time. The one stylist was obviously rushed and asked everyone to pay ahead of time. Unfortunately I paid with my credit card and TIPPED her! I grew out my eyebrows for about 3 months to reverse damage done from excessive waxing by amatuers in Nail salons and went to NY to get them shaped the way that I wanted them. My eyebrows were finally thick and beautifully arched when I came here for a threading. Normally thread is supposed to be more precise than waxing and lasts longer. While she was working on my eyebrows she began to complain about one being shorter than the other and that she was reshaping them. I asked her to please leave the longer one alone, because I would just grow in the "shorter one" or draw them in. When she was done, my eyebrows were so thin I could've drawn them in myself with a pencil. She completely reshaped my eyebrows! Also, one is significantly shorter than the other and one is arched higher than the other. I litteraly have tan lines where you can see lighter skin where my eyebrow hairs used to be. I paid $12 and cried during and after the service. Save yourself extreme disappointment and stay away! read more

They do a good job on threading your eyebrows. However, a horrible job on customer service and/or accomdating customers. The indian lady, is always on her cell phone and has very poor hygiene... she never disinfect her hands prior to threading eyebrows and I happened to peek at some of the additional tools post eyebrow threading... as they very much looked uncleaned and used on more than one customer. When you go here make sure the lady disinfects her hands and tools prior to your getting your eyebrows done...germs spread!!! and by LAW they MUST!!! In addition, they lady is not friendly at all!!!! read more

I have been going here for over a year and my boyfriend has been going for awhile as well. I usually go on Fridays or Saturdays and the staff on those days are great. My boyfriend and I went together one day and I forgot my frequent user card so they signed his card twice for the both of us- the next time we would have a free threading. When I returned the next time on a Thursday, my boyfriend went with me but only I got my brows done. I asked for his frequent user card at checkout and the woman who had done my eyebrows said I was not allowed to use the free threading even though his card had signatures from my own visits. After giving us attitude we agreed to pay and I asked for the student discount that I get every single time. When she charged me full price I asked if they still did the student discount and she confirmed "yes" and then I asked her if she applied it she said "no" with a sarcastic smile. She straight up refused to apply the discount and found pleasure in refusing our requests. I had her call her manager who told me to tell her staff to give us the free threading (not my job) and she told me they had gotten rid of the student discount "a very long time ago" although I have received it with every threading, monthly, for the past year. It was like dealing with a stubborn child. Absolutely ridiculous. My boyfriend refuses to return and I will only go on my regular fridays and saturdays to avoid the immature, stubborn, disrespectful lady that works on Thursdays. read more

I've been here plenty of times to almost fill out the frequent customer card for a free threading. But recently the lady who ended up doing my eyebrows actually made an INDENT in my eyebrow where arch is. Almost completely going through my whole eyebrow!!! Are you kidding me. She covered it up by brushing my hair down so I wouldn't see it until I went home. Also made it WAY too thin and short. Fucked up my long, thick brows. Do no recommend coming here, even if it's convenient for you at the mall, don't go here. The only good employee that worked there has moved to Virginia, the other employees are completely unqualified. Save your eyebrows and go somewhere else. read more

I'm sorry others have had such bad experiences with this place; I breezed right in on a Friday night & was out in a/b 10 minutes with beautifully shaped brows. My first threading experience at Shahla in Plainville left much to be desired & I wanted to give it another try - I'm SO glad I did! I had less pain & redness from Miracle Eyebrows than Shahla & the lady shaped them so beautifully! After reading the reviews, though, I'm thinking I may have just gotten lucky so I plan to try Diva Threading in Burr Corners next ($8 by appt only.) Miracle Eyebrows charges $12 incl tax w/the convenience of mall hours, but again, after reading these other reviews, I'm kind of scared to go back! Also, I paid w/a $20 bill but they had no $1 or $5 bills to make change; the lady pulled $ out of the tip cup to make change, which I thought was terribly poor mangement & customer service. Bottom Line: I had less pain/redness than my first threading experience & had nicely shaped brows in a/b 10 mins but I'm not confident this place will produce consistent results over time, so I plan to try out Diva Threading next. read more

I don't understand where all these horrible reviews are coming from. I have NEVER had a poor experience at Miracle Eyebrows, and in fact wouldn't trust anybody else with my eyebrows! I've always found the ladies to be pleasant and very experienced. My eyebrows always look fabulous when I leave. The prices are also very reasonable, in my experience. Ok The other day I went with one of my besties to get her eyebrows attacked as I call it at the Miracle Eyebrow in Buckland Hills mall. I told my friend, the next time she goes I will get mines done also. Well I never had my eyebrows done because I honestly don't need them done. So I told Jannat, the young women that does my friend every time that I will be attacked today..Yah!!!!! So the moment came. I did it. It hurt briefly but it only took no more than 2 minutes. Worst place you can visit. They don't have trained professionals. I went there to do threading and there I saw they do waxing also . I asked them if they can do now they said yes. But the lady had never done waxing . She stuck the wax all over my underarms and doesn't know how to pull it.i had to guide her in doing that .She doesn't even listens. Even when I was telling it's hurting stop it now she didn't stop. Finally had to shout and when I saw my underarms it was all bleeding. I was not able to raise arms for 2 days. I had a 45-minute facial, and it was fantastic! I don't have anything to compare it to, since I have never gone anywhere for a facial, but it was such a relaxing time! The ladies there were experienced and friendly, and they took care to make sure I was comfortable! They can only take one person at a time in the one back room they have, so it isn't ideal for a girl's day out, but it is a wonderful pampering experience for someone who wants to go solo! read more
