I purchased a used dryer here 4 years ago, I had them deliver it, set it up & haul away the old machine & it's been working great! Based on that experience, I'd give them 5 stars. I took off a star bc I returned recently as I needed to purchase a set of stackable machines, but unfortunately they stopped selling used appliances, which was very disappointing. I was talking to one of the sales reps on Facebook marketplace about buying a gas stove and have it converted into propane. She said they will do that for me in house for free so I told her I will take the stove and then I drove down there 45 minutes out of my way and they told me they will not do that for me. Beware, they are passing off "scratch & dent" appliances as first quality... I will say that buying a new Frigidaire upright FFUE2024AW upright freezer from EAO was easy. Setting up delivery was easy & convenient. However, what I actually received from them did not meet my expectations of a "new in the box" appliance. This freezer was not cheap, it is big & has the bells & whistles to keep all the season's wild game securely frozen in the event of a power failure--a lesson hard learned. So why am I taking issue with this appliance? Right at eye level above the external temperature monitor display is a large scrape in the glossy white paint on the door. You would think I would have been advised of this obvious flaw prior to delivery to be certain I would accept it... nope. I guess the business model here is to just deliver & state "they all come that way"... (that is a quote from Express AO's owner!). In other words, deal with it. I did document the scratch upon arrival as did the delivery crew. I asked about a discount for the flaw vs refusal & redelivery. I was advised I would need to speak with the owner--they called as they were unloading, but he wasn't available. He never returned my call. When I did reach out again days later, I was told bluntly I could return it, but it was "new." I asked about exchanging it & was told "they all come that way." My wife and I happen to stop by as we needed a washer and dryer set as well as a refrigerator. We were greeted by Scott who told us to let him know if we needed help. They had a very large scratch and dent section with great prices. It was great to not have a sales associate following us around. After about 15 minutes of opening refrigerators John checked on us. We told him of our needs and he was very knowledgeable about the different features of the fridges. We found a fridge we like that had a slight scratch on it that we were happy with. He remembered that he had the same model almost the same price that had an almost invisible dent which we bought. Later on we spoke with Scott about a washer and dryer to which he had 1 matching LG pair that had almost no signs of scratches or dents. First ever exprience shopping for used appliances and I learned it is a crap shoot. If you are making that gamble in the Boise area, I'd say it is a pretty safe bet to work with the guys at this store. Express Appliance is the resale and repair part of the business it seems and All Brands Appliances is the parent company. Look for the All Brands sign out front and the Express truck parked in front. Address is 609 N. Orchard Street in Boise. (Not yet entered in Yelp when I posted this review.) We would have not even bothered to pull in here given the location with pay day lenders and tatoo parlors as neighbors but Express came recommended by a local professional who knows her stuff. Both Mike and Andrew were super to help us review the in store options and had we needed a used washer / dryer set we thought we would temporarily (and in the end didn't) Express would have been our choice of provider for a set that was roughly a third of the cost of buying new. They do a full inspection and rehab on any washer / dryer they are reselling, provide a three month warranty and their delivery and set up fee is very reasonable, under $40 as I recall. Although we didn't find ourselves in need of used appliances based on our experience here we'd say you could be in the chips if you are and work with this business. Their inventory changes all the time, front loads are tougher to come by than top loads if you're in the washer / dryer search, and if you're willing to take a mis matched set they seem to be prepared to make a jackpot of a deal. THIS N THAT: 1) SERVICE CALLS: They make service calls to repair appliances and also provide hook up services for moved appliances. For either of those services we would happily have Express at the top of our "to call" list. 2) PARKING: Awkward small parking strip in front of store. 3) ACCESSIBILITY: Don't think I saw accessible parking at the store front. But if you can get out of your car and into the store, it is level in and throughout with ample floor space between displays. 4) SECOND LOCATION: They have another location in Nampa. read more

I bought a dryer, clothes washer and refrigerator from this place. After a few months the washer broke which they did replace because of warranty. Two years later the refrigerator, washer and dryer all are complete unfixable! I had to pay almost 200 dollars for express appliance to send out someone to fix the washer, and even when they couldn't fix it I still had to pay. The guy who came out to fix was very nice and knowledgeable, and he told me that Express Appliance buys already broken appliances, fixes them enough so they will last their warranty which is 6 or so months, and sells them for a couple hundred less than brand new. He was honest to the point that he was quitting the company so that's pretty bad. This place is ripping you off, so go else where to buy. read more

I can't say enough good things about these guys. I've used them before for parts to repair a refrigerator and a dishwasher, and they've always helped by showing me diagrams and explaining the repair process. When my dryer stopped running over the weekend, I decided to give their repair division a reply. Manager Scott answered my call on the second ring, immediately diagnosed the problem from the symptoms I described, and actually tried to convince me I could do it myself and save a lot of money. I was short on time so scheduled a repair, which Scott said would cost $130 - $150 for the service call, parts, and labor. But Scott's encouragement motivated me to do some research, and I found a few YouTube videos that described the repair process which looked pretty simple. I stopped in to Express Appliance and bought the $25 part from Scott, who gave me more helpful tips, and I was able to fix it myself, saving over $100 in the process. From the first phone call I made for a purchase inquiry through to the delivery of a washer/dryer set and fridge the staff at Express Appliance performed without flaw. This was no easy task either. I am an out of state buyer making the purchase for a rental property. The appliances I purchased were available at their Twin Falls store so had to be delivered to their Boise location then delivered to the residence. The delivery was on time, like right at the beginning of the scheduled window. The water line for the ice maker wasn't long enough to reach the wall so they gave me the additional piece. I needed to replace my refrigerator ASAP on a Saturday, ten minutes before closing time. I couldn't wait for Monday delivery, so I bought a nice looking, very clean unit and the employees helped me heft it up into the bed of a relatively high one ton truck. They even let me borrow the heavy duty cargo straps since mine were inadequate. I was assured of my purchase when they included a complete 90 day warranty. On a small percentage of sales they do have to make good on those, and this was one of them. The repair would have cost me nearly as much as I paid for the refrigerator if not for the warranty. They honored it and made the expensive repair, surely losing money on the deal. Despite the inconvenience and spoiled food when the fridge went out, the service after the sale earned them kudos. This company has some branding issues, but don't let that scare you away. They are an honest company that has earned our trust and loyalty. Have had 3 experiences with Express Appliance (or All Brand Appliance). We have purchased a used refrigerator and also a washer and dryer. They offer great prices on used appliances and they make sure each appliance is in great working order. They offer delivery and set up for a reasonable price. We've had all the appliances delivered and set up. The delivery guys did a great job and were respectful of our home. Each used appliance comes with a warranty. We had to use the warranty on our dryer. After having it for about 45 days, it quit drying clothes. We called and Express Appliance had a technician out that afternoon. He found the problem and fixed it free of charge. We also bought a a used refrigerator from them. A newer side by side. We had it about 2 years when the fridge side started freezing food. Called Express Appliance and they had someone out the next morning. The technician had the refrigerator fixed within the hour and the cost was fair. Both technicians have been friendly and professional. They work quickly and efficiently. Would not hesitate to call them for any appliance repair that we may have in the future. I was referred to them by Western Appliance repair. The guy came, figured out the problem and then quoted me several hundred dollars above the estimate that I was given by Western on their behalf. When I complained, he said "it's just an estimate and the other people didn't know what the problem was". So I explained that I am upset about the cost difference so he decides to wave my "service" fee. I told him I would still pay it. He tells me no. So I told him I needed to think about the weather or not it is worth doing and I would call him. So I decide to do it and call but he wont talk to me or work with me because he told his company that I "REFUSED" to pay the service fee. I don't like liars. And this company hires liars. I got a quote and I made an apt. When the guy arrived he was slow. He had to go twice because he was missing tools, each time 30min. his pants fell down, he didn't even pull them up. When he gave me the bill, I asked him to explain. He said I will just take the parts back! I told him to leave. I went to the office.
