Hassan did a great job on my dress. He came in to the shop right after I called him on a Sunday even though they were closed that day to give me my dress. I had a bridesmaid dress that did not fit at all and he essentially remade the dress into one that fit me and it looked amazing. They were so quick as well. I can't count the number of pants I've brought here for alteration! It's half the price of what Nordstrom would charge you for alteration, and the job is so incredibly well done. B has also taken shirts and sweaters here for tailoring and fixing, and you know Samira is an expert when she can tell exactly what he wants changed just by taking 1 look at how the shirt hang on him. I've been to this store... oh I don't know.... probably some 30 times in the past few years, and I've never been in the store for more than 5 minutes. She is just THAT efficient. I've also never exchanged more than 5 sentences with Samira, but that's exactly what I love about her too. No nonsense - just a honest, dependable tailor with expert skills. Highly recommended. This sweet, sweet angel saved the day again. I've been going to Express Alterations for about six years; not often as I don't get things tailored but every time I do, I leave thinking i need to get more things tailored! I had a wedding and my bridesmaid dress was legit just not going to fit. My girl hooked it up and really pulled off a miracle on this one - the dress ended up fitting like a glove and I got so many compliments at the wedding. The dress was fixed quickly and you couldn't tell I had it altered, even though there was pleating and a lace overlay to the dress. Trust me, go here if you need anything altered. p.s. I tried Eddie's Alterations once and this place is way better. It's faster, friendlier, and better prices! And, the work is better. My tulip skirt needed a new zipper, so I brought it here after going into Yelpy research mode. I have to say, I am NOT disappointed. She did great work--the skirt's now outfitted with a stronger and better zipper than it had originally (with a better sewing job to boot!). I had purchased some dress shirts that were slim fit and they were still very baggy on me so I brought them here to get the torso brought in. They put a dart on the back and brought in the material. Don't let the more dated outside of this shop fool you, or the location because these gals KNOW what they are doing. I have brought them everything from jeans, to dresses and suit coats and they have all come out beautifully. They are quick and kind and stick to their turn around time. I had one suit coat that was tailored in a bit more fitted than I wanted so I brought it back and asked that Samira let a little out and she had it done for me in a couple days easy. My husband also brings his clothes here and has had great luck getting his suits tailored, for him fit is everything so it says a lot that he trusts these gals too. This was a bead covered dress and she cut without securing the beads. They were falling off in handfuls as you walked. The dress had to be replaced. Do not go to this woman. read more

Was looking for ages online for a store open early enough to fix my dress, with the hope they could do it that day within a couple of hours. The night before the wedding I was in, the zipper on my bridesmaids dress busted open and I had to break the zipper to get out of the dress. The past few weeks had been really tough as my grandma is about to pass away, and the morning of wedding day, I was calling everywhere that did alterations to see if they could help me in an emergency situation. Hassan at Express alterations picked up the phone and said "I'll have to see it, how quick can you get here?" I showed up about half an hour later and I was overwhelmed by the hospitality, kindness, and professionalism of Hassan. He looked at the dress and said to give him an hour to an hour and a half. I cried an embarrassing amount because of his generosity and kindness. When I picked up the dress it looked absolutely perfect and fit like a glove. I had a negative experience when I came in for an alteration. The owner was very unpleasant and I elected to take my business elsewhere even after going through the trouble of trying it on for her. She made it out to be a very difficult alteration but I took it elsewhere and it was done without fuss for a much cheaper price than quoted here. Terrible work. Na attention to details. I took 3 lab coats to get their pockets changed to a larger size. I took a lab coat that already has the pockets i want and I told her I want the exact same shape and size. After 1 week, she got the pockets either larger or smaller than what I want. I have to agree with Ahmad A. I took a backpack to her to sew on some patches and she sewed 2 of the 5 patches on upside down. Also- she told me it would be done on a Tuesday. When I went in she said she had not even looked at it and that I would have to come in the following week to get it. When I asked for a discount because she was going to be later than she originally told me- she said, "I don't give discounts". Too many mistakes for me.
