I needed the dress for my daughter's tea party, so it was a bit of an emergency. He was able to complete the alteration in just one day, which I truly appreciated. The work is absolutely flawless. The quality is incredible, and you would never be able to tell the dress was altered. It honestly looks like the dress was originally made that way. DO NOT GO HERE. I went to Express Alterations between 2004-2009 with great results at a great price. Since then, the ownership has changed and not for the better. I recently had an awful experience there that resulted in a destroyed bridesmaid's dress and body shaming. Read more below for additional details. I took my bridesmaid's dress that needed minimal alterations on the sleeves and hemming on the bottom (see photo). After Hassan did the initial alterations (that cost a whopping $100), the whole top half of the dress was totally ruined. He took so much fabric off of the sleeves that the dress no longer fit in the chest and was puckering at the waist. The seams on the sleeves were done very poorly as well (see photos). When I went back in to get the dress fixed, Hassan told me that "some people lose a pound or two before a wedding" and asked if I was going to wear Spanx because "sometimes that helps"--suggesting that the reason the dress did not work was a result of my body rather than his handiwork. He also tried to gaslight me questioning what was so wrong with the alterations. He tried to fix the work and ended up making the dress even worse. I truly do not think he knows how to alter dresses for women. After my first bad experience I brought my male friend with me and Hassan was much more willing to do whatever we asked to fix the dress. Not convinced that he could fix the dress at this point, I ended up taking it to another tailor who was able to fix the dress the day before my sister's wedding. I later learned that a friend had almost an exact experience with a bridesmaid's dress a few months before (needed minor alterations and in the process Hassan ruined the dress and body shamed her too). Long story short, unless you want to throw money in the trash and walk out feeling bad about yourself, do not go here! read more

Disappointing and frustrating. That's all I can say about my experience with Express Alterations. I went to Express Alterations to have some alterations and changes made to my wedding dress. After an initial phone call, text messages and an actual visit to the store, it seemed that he and his seamstress understood what I was looking for. (Which was for a yoke to be added between the top of the dress and the skirt and some other minor tweaks). That is nothing like that what I got. Hassam repeated things like "No worries", "We can do it", "Tell me what you want," etc. Yet, he doesn't actually listen nor did they even do what was discussed. He rushes you out and ensures you that he understands and will get it done. When it came time to try on my dress, it was not what we discussed and other areas were not done well. They overhemmed it, did a poor job on cutting the arms holes, pulled the material too tight, and the yoke they added was not what we discussed. Additionally, the material they added does not even match my dress. It's cheap and thin. If I even chose to wear it (which I will not) it would like a hack job, which it was. When I was obviously unhappy that this is what they delivered, he kept saying he could fix it and to explain what we wanted. When trying to do so, Hassam kept interrupting which was incredibly frustrating. In the end, they fixed the mishemmed length and I took the dress because I did not trust them to fix their mistakes. I am extremely unhappy and would not recommend this establishment to anyone. Frankly, my dress is in worse shape than what I brought it in as. read more

This place is incredible, my first visit and I absolutely loved it. I flew in from Phoenix Arizona and purchased my dress on Thursday and needed my dress altered by Saturday. Every place I called denied me since it was so last minute and my dress was very detailed. However, Hassan took care of it. Price point was also great, and no added rush fees. She is a miracle worker. On one occasion I brought in a new puffy jacket that had a 2" horizontal tear on the front. She was able to sew in another horizontal stitch that overlapped the tear, and it blends right in. On a few other occasions, she has hemmed mine and my son's pants. She has the talent to do whatever alteration work is required and possible. She notices things (when shortening sleeves, for example, that my arms are of different lengths). I stopped in today to get a tear at the seam of a linen shirt repaired. I thought I would drop it off and leave but Mr. Bazzi asked me to wait. I heard the sewing machine whirring away and out came my shirt fully repaired minutes later: I could not even tell that there had been a tear.
