I think I first encountered Marine Layer through targeted online marketing on Facebook. Ok ok, say…read morewhat you will about companies collecting information on me and then using it to spend... well... more money. In this instance it worked because I really just loved the design. The story goes: Guy meets girl. Girl throws away guy's old shirt. Guy loved old shirt because it was soft. Guy wonders, why can't all shirts be this soft from the start? I walked into the first Marine Layer store when I was out in Seattle. I was surprised to find this store here at Ponce City Market. Naturally I walked in and looked at the designs. To be quite honest, the prices here are steep but the design, fit and comfort are second to none. I can't get all my clothes here (because I'll be REAL poor) but I do occasionally get one or two items that I then treasure. Although most of the clothing they sell are manufactured in SF or LA, some of the products come from overseas. I also found out here if you donate some of your old clothes, you can get coupons to be used in the store. In fact, there is now a small section of clothing made from old clothes! pretty neat.... Although walking into the store is nice to be able to browse and try on clothes, now that I know what size fits me, I can do all my ordering online. Again, this is expensive but the clothing designs are top notch. Very much a west coast vibe going on here. If you haven't been yet, I suggest giving them a try. You might find out that you like them... a lot!

Just had THE worst experience here…read more I'm a frequent customer of this store but Im starting to question if this store is worth patronizing. This visit I wanted to purchase a sale item and when I went to the cash register to get my additional 15% discount, the guy wouldn't give it to me! He told me that for as long as he's worked there no one got the student discount. EVEN THOUGH IT SAYS THAT ON THEIR WEBSITE!!!! And when I told him I've received it before many times he said that those employees were misinformed. But he didn't realize he was misinformed instead :) The store may seem attractive and nice but some of the employees certainly are not. Extremely rude, unhelpful and acts as if they know everything.

I've seen other people wear their clothes and I always thought they make a person look like a classy fashionista without spending big bucks and or spending a lot of time putting outfits together. Their clothes are mainly neutral tone and contain pieces to add to your current wardrobe. So instead of having to buy a whole new outfit each season; Club Monaco sells a few key pieces at an affordable price that you can add to your own collection. So that you will always look current, fresh and most importantly: look good for your age. When you reach a certain age in my case after 30...you don't want to look like you just step out of college but you also don't want to look like your mother yet...this retailer is the perfect in between. I find the neutral colors to be dateless...meaning that I can wear it year after year regardless what the trend is...also they make a beautiful perfect cream color blouse that is perfect for wearing all year round. The ladies here are fantastic. Every time I come in here there is someone to greet me and tell me what sort of sales they have going on at the moment. As far as price is concerned you get what you pay for these days. If you pay $50 for a coat then it looks like $50. I think Club Monaco's quality is exceptionally good. It's higher than say J Crew but the quality and style is better and most of all it's a item you will reach for season after season.... 868th review 12/5/2017

This is a classic case of "it's a good thing she's pretty."…read more It's a good thing this is a pretty looking store, because if it were based on the service or selection I don't think I would have rated it 4 stars. As far as service goes, I'm glad that I was greeted and shown to the shoe section that I inquired about. I'm not glad about the associate completely avoiding eye contact with me, even when I paid. As far as the selection goes, I'm confident in saying that this is an enormous Calvin Klein store with probably more to offer than any other place that carries this line in Atlanta. I didn't like any of the men's shoes, all of their men's casual shirts were frumpy looking, and the jeans looked like they should be comfortable, but they're not. After reading this it sounds like I'm probably not much of a CK person... I did leave the store with a cute new pair of underwear, so maybe with baby steps I'll change my mind. *insert grin here*

They don't know how to function the machines and made me wait for more than 10 minutes, and I ended up missing my shuttle. I went in just the other day, sucked in by the usual unknown forces that draw me in. They were having a "Basics" sale - two for $10. Basics that qualified were various tank tops (at least 4 different styles) and scoop and v-neck tee shirts. Other basics were $10. Sales will likely be different in a few days, so don't count on this, and then yell at me, please. :) I tried a few things on and the fitting room attendant was quick and friendly. When it was time to check out, the line started to grow, and a second cashier jumped on. She was also speedy and kind. Efficient, chic and with value. YAY!

I just assumed that they would have some cute sneakers along with those hideously ugly walking sneakers that first appeared almost twenty years ago. Unfortunately there was only one attendant in this small store and he was assisting customers so I did not have an opportunity to try on the shoes or ask questions. No problem! I thought about the Mall and just wanted to run in Ross and pick up a cheap t-shirt. Well! Coming into the mall I saw at sign that said Positive Gear. And looking into the store as I passed by. There where plenty of t-shirts hanging very neatly and colorful. So! I thought to myself "That's what I need and I do have to search through a bunch of nonsense clothing" Right at entering Mr. Clarke the store owner greeting me immediately. With a bright smile and a welcoming attitude. Mr. Clarke, showed me around his store explaining his thoughts spreading POSITIVE, INSPIRING, MOVTIVATIONAL MESSAGES. And i love some of his quotes. Considering all the crazy things that's going on with the world today. Mr. Clarke also offer custom t-shirts. If you want something other than what he has. He can design it. He does corporate events, family reunions, school events or just anybody that wants a few t-shirts with something on it. The t-shirt prices are $19.99. And these are "GOOD" quality shirts. Not that kind you find at some bargain warehouse. The sizes are XS thru XXXL for women. And M thru XXXL for men. Also! if you need a bigger size that's not in the store. Mr. Clarke will get the size you need and can make it for you. The store is a breathe of fresh air. I mean just to see a Black Own business that is trying to spread Positive messages to our young generation. I give 2 thumbs ups and I highly recommend POSITIVE GEAR for for your t-shirt wear. And any large quantities of custom made t-shirts for your company or family/school events.

I was leaving Fabletics, not paying attention, and somehow ended up walking right into the store. What made me actually stay was the customer service. The sales associate--I believe her name was Rose--was absolutely amazing. Honestly, whoever hired her needs to know she is a natural when it comes to working with people. If it weren't for her energy and the way she approached me, I probably would've kept walking. We instantly clicked, and I told her what I needed an outfit for. When I say she picked out the perfect look for me... I mean it. She helped me put everything together so effortlessly, and I walked out feeling amazing in what she chose. I don't have too much to add about the store itself beyond the fact that it's cute and has a great selection, but this review is really for the customer service. That experience alone made the visit memorable. I'll definitely be back--and next time, I'm finding Rose!
