The funny thing about Altar'd State at Perimeter Mall is that I completely stumbled into it by accident. I was leaving Fabletics, not paying attention, and somehow ended up walking right into the store. What made me actually stay was the customer service. The sales associate--I believe her name was Rose--was absolutely amazing. Honestly, whoever hired her needs to know she is a natural when it comes to working with people. If it weren't for her energy and the way she approached me, I probably would've kept walking. We instantly clicked, and I told her what I needed an outfit for. When I say she picked out the perfect look for me... I mean it. She helped me put everything together so effortlessly, and I walked out feeling amazing in what she chose. I don't have too much to add about the store itself beyond the fact that it's cute and has a great selection, but this review is really for the customer service. Altard'd State is a Christian based chain of trendy boutique-like clothing store. I actually didn't realize they were Christian based until I looked them up online for this review. The store is a cross between Anthropologies meets J Crews meets Urban Outfitters. So it's really Boho-vintage-preppy chic....They have everything from retro t-shirts to dainty long necklaces. There are also lotions, scented candles and some home decor. When we came in we were immediately greeted by a nice young lady offering assistance and told us all the specials that they are running that week. Their prices varies from $9+ Most of their stuff looked well made and I didn't think they were overpriced for the quality that they were offering. Overall all the clothes are always stocked and fully intact, but sadly sometimes they don't have all of the sizes and it's freakishly expensive. Most of the clothes cost way more than they should from my standpoint but it's still worth the money. I bought a dress two years ago and it still looks brand new. Once again truly worth the money definitely recommend at least browsing through the stop. So far I'm loving it! read more

THAT DISPLAY WINDOW IS EVERYTHING! This store is a bit familiar because they also have a location in Alpharetta at The Collection. It is a boutique that carries a hodge-podge of everything from pillows and throws to clothing and candles. They also have accessories such as bags, shoes and jewelry. Among the home décor options, you will find picture frames, decorative candles, Christmas themed décor and word art with words that inspire and encourage. ***Specific items of note: They still have holiday themed leggings available as well as cute party dresses. ***Their holiday display window is something to be envied! Altard's State is a faith-inspired store. I think they refer to it as a faith-based boutique with women's clothing and gift items. You'll find lots of inspirational feel-good plaques and wall-art that'll make you feel like you just came out of a Joel Osteen sermon. I was there when they set up their winter display window (see photo), and the staff were really proud of it. I saw their family members visiting them to applaud their hard work, and they had some cupcakes and treats to celebrate the display. At such a place, I expected staff to be super-friendly, even if superficially, but this is my slight discomfort with the store. The staff is not at all friendly. They aren't rude or mean, but they seem to be more interested in each other than in the customer, or maybe it was just me. So on the three occasion I've visited, I've felt like I was walking into a party uninvited and ignored. I don't like how I feel when I'm there, but I'll give 3 stars because the items and the message behind them is nice. There's a store at Phipps Plaza with faith-based items. My favorite clothing place to shop! This boutique has cute/trendy clothes but also classic pieces to fit your personal style. The clothes feel much better than items you would find at H&m or forever 21. The staff is always super nice and the changing rooms are pristine. Another nice touch is a sweet prayer book they have in the waiting area by the changing rooms. Will continue to support this store and recommend you check it out. read more

We walked in . Not one sales Assoc said hi . We went to dressing on our own . After we found someone. They escorted us to dressing room . Never once did they ask our name . And not once did they cc'ing in to ask if we needed help . We've been shopping with this company for awhile abd never had such bad customer service . I've found that if all the stOres this one doesn't have customer service . There was a long line to check out with 2 or three sales on floor . There was one young lady to busy straighting next to register we're there was a line . Finially she saw the line asked for next person . NeveR once lookIng at us . She took the sale even though she didn't ggelo us at all . Jay helped us . The girl who checked us out was 983200 . She shouldn't get credit for sale . I really wanted to love this store... but the manager, Brianna, ruined it for me. They constantly have buy 1 get 1 promos going, so naturally I picked up two items in the "Christmas decor" section (one of which was sitting in a basket that the buy 1 get 1 sign was attached to, only to be told that it was excluded from the sale. The clerk shrugged her shoulders and said it wasn't on sale, and did the same thing to two others customers in the store. We all politely gave her our feedback to the manager and she blankly stared at us and replied, "Ok, it's still not on sale." Then one of the very sweet clerks next to her said "I totally see how that's very confusing." So, we all left and didn't buy anything, because other businesses deserve our money. I won't ever spend a dime here on super overpriced items... can find them elsewhere with better, friendly and more customer-centric staff. Also, train or replace that manager! read more
