Nails are ok but I've grown tired of how much this business keep on changing their prices and asks for tips in cash. When you pay over $80 in a credit card what is the issue to put 20% on top of it. A couple of issues. The look: The area near the pedicure station floors and baseboards and even doors look dirty. The staff: is rude and and talk about you in front of you in native tongue. Open a voice translator you can hear for yourself. It's pretty disrespectful. They have no idea I was listening to their conversation for all they know I'd never know. But shuttle rudeness is my reason for taking listening. I'm will finish my services with them this visit but I will never come here again. If you are a black woman who's been to nail salons and joke about them talking about you just open a translator app and you can see what they say. If you want your nail polish to last 2 days and painted in a rush with obvious missed spots and bumpy layers of nail polish then this is the place for you! I simply went in for a polish change and was being pushed to get a manicure. I said no, and I'm assuming that set the tone for the rest of my experience there. The people inside are very nice however the lady who did my nails was not great at painting nails. I came in and requested SNS (i always get SNS), she kept saying gel is so much better and easier to do than SNS. So i said whatever okay and she claimed that gel will be better for my nails. My nails didn't even look good when she finished. Polish was so sloppy. But it gets better (sarcasm). My pointer fingers polish chipped within TWO days and the nail broke so far down it bled, which never EVER happens when i get SNS. Avoid. A family member had their face burned during waxing. The wax is hotter than it should be and will leave you scarred. The workers are inexperienced and rush the work causing mediocre results. This nail salon will forever be MY nail salon. every time i come in i'm greeted by the staff, and they never disappoint me with their technique. i've been going to this salon since i was a kid, and i'll never switch. though the salon isn't a luxury one, the technicians treat you as it were. i've been getting acrylics for a couple months now and go in for a fill every 3 weeks, despite not a single nail breaking off. I've gotten my nails done by most of the girls working, but my favorites are definitely Tina and Mary. They never disappoint! The prices are fair too, only $45 for a full set of acrylics and gel. I've gone here twice now..and I live in Maryland! The technician, Mimi, even remembered who i was. The salon is clean and neatly laid out with no ultra dated decorations. I got a regular pedicure which included a fantastic foot and lower leg scrub and massage. I definitely recommend going in to see Mimi because of the massage alone. The rest of the staff are very friendly. I brought in my 7 year old cousin at the time for just toe and nail polish and the laides were very friendy and playful. The pricing was very reasonable, especially for the service provided. After having gone to what looked like ultra fancy salons in the mall, I'd rather drive the extra 30 minutes for better service and better pricing. In the end, I felt relaxed and comfortable which is a must if I'm crossing the state line. read more

Needless to say if I got started on service, management, the other staff, or even their lack of new colors that are not gel, this rating would quickly go down to a ONE star for sure! With that said, Mai is AMAZING, I've been going to her for about four years now and I have not once left upset or unsatisfied. She is so sweet, patient, and does a perfect job doing my mani/pedi. She had to re do them and make smooth and I said should have been done in the first place not rushing and do a terrible job... Not a good experience all around, but one technician there did make me give 2 stars instead of 1. I did go on a Saturday and I knew it would be busy, so that part is my fault. I just went in for a fill, not a new full set. The 1st technician that started my nails really did a number on my cuticles, so they were hurting pretty bad throughout. Another technician who had been watching the 1st girl took over, which made me a little nervous to be a 'guinea pig' but I figured I'd just go with the flow. She took A LOT of time doing the fill. I thought the nails were too thick, but she insisted they would be too thin otherwise. When she applied the polish it was really thick and bubbly looking. I suggested that the polish was too old to use and I'd happily choose another color. She insisted it would be OK and wanted to try again. (I've been in the salon over 2 hrs. by this point) When she got another technician to ask her about it, the 3rd (yes 3rd!) technician took one look at my nails, shot the other girl a dirty look, and sat down and fixed them. No discount given for the inconvenience. They only take cash, which is not only a big pain but makes me wonder about how much 'under the table' is going on. read more

I went here a few weeks ago with a friend to try a salon since I'm new to the area. We made appointments and we seen promptly. We both decided to get gel manis. My friend had a different lady than I did. She was quick and did the paraffin wax. My lady was very slow (my friend had to wait for me for about 40 minutes after she was done). I did not get the wax (my friend did, we paid the same amount) and I left with polish on every one of my cuticles. One of the other ladies came over to talk to her and it appeared that she was giving my lady instructions on the process. The plus side was how cheap it was ($30 not including tip). I stopped in here last week for a quick gel polish change. Not only was it sloppy, but I was charged twice and then my credit card number was stolen and used at nearby retailers. Extremely frustrating and now I'm stuck disputing charges and dealing with the credit card company, and all this for a below average polish change. I went here for my very first manicure, and I couldn't be happier. They were extremely nice to me, guided me through all the UV ray stuff (I got gelish), and did not make me feel dumb for not knowing what I was doing. My friend came with me and she commented how the ladies were so nice and polite. I paid in cash because of reading old reviews about credit cards being an issue. Whatever. Cash wasn't an issue lol. I use to live in Sterling and would go here all the time for a manicure/pedicure and then once shellac became popular, I started coming here too. All of them are so sweet, friendly and funny- they really make you feel so comfortable. But they always do such a good job with my nails. I usually go to anyone who is available because I trust the salon and have never been disappointed. Their prices are also very reasonable. I've compared them with a number of different places as far as price and they are on the very reasonable side. I now live in Centreville but I miss this place so much!! read more

I don't normally do reviews, but I went for a Brazilian wax, as I get them frequently, and it was by far the worst waxing experience I've ever had. 1) tiny, FILTHY room (not untidy...dirty with fluids, dirt, and hair everywhere) 2) DID NOT WEAR GLOVES!! and was being disrespectful of my private area (went into areas to hold them in places that didn't need to be held) 3) used the same strip for many areas (front and back...) 4) she would've left a blatant patch of hair if I had not asked her to fix it. 5) I was left sticky with wax and covered in neosporin I was very concerned about getting some sort of UTI or bacterial infection...Would've rated a 0 if I could. The lady told me they didn't have time because they only have one person who does fake nails on Sunday (how does a nail salon only have one person that does fake nails?). Rude people, poor service, and sad work. The workers there don't care if you have a reservation, they don't honor that policy there. They had me wait about 45 minutes before I could even sit down at a station. Once they started, the pain that the manicurist caused me was so unbearable. She was literally using the tools and having it rub against my cuticles, on my skin. I had to ask her many times to please watch out, and every time I did, she would mutter something to her coworkers. They all proceeded to speak in a language I did not understand. Now, I cannot be 100% sure that they were speaking negative things about me, but when one of the workers points at me and says something, and they all proceed to laugh....then yes, I can be 98% sure. I hate this place. People are rude. They don't have service mind at all. I went there last weekend. Person who did my mani was a young lady with bang. She did not smile even 1 time while I sit and smile at her at least 5 times. No conversation between us. The worse part was when she told me to go wash my hand. I droped my engagement ring and it went under the counter. I was so worried about it and she act fussy. She told me to go sit and wait she will find it for me. I can't leave my 13,000$ ring and go relax so I just stand around the spot. She was even angry at me. I felt so bad. I love this salon! I walked in almost two years ago and told them that I was hosting a party in exactly 45 minutes and that I needed a fill and eyebrows. I was done and out of there in 28 minutes flat! Mary is who I see and she does a fantastic job. On the rare occasion that I have to bring my 17 month old toddler with me, they get me in and out as quick as possible and do a great job. My eyebrows get compliments all the time and I feel like I am truly pampered when I leave there. They are under new ownership and it shows. Nice - Clean - and Sophisticated. read more

I'm not really sure what the pricing is, but I came in for a fill and was charged $27 and $27 for a pedicure (this included a clear gel application & removal - WAY expensive considering the material and labor are WELL below that cost). For the job they do, it's just not really worth THAT much money (you can go get a fill pretty much anywhere else for around $17 including a tip). I went in for a replacement for one that broke and the lady (not Mary) did a pretty crappy job and made the nail wider than my other ones and the polish was screwed up before I left because she put it on so thick (she only let my hands stay under the UV light box thing for about 2 minutes before she said she was done and to go). She won't be doing mine again. I'll refuse. Mary did a pretty good job but has left polish on my cuticles before (red, no less). She does talk herself up. One review I read said that the reviewer was Vietnamese and understood what the techs were talking about.. You don't have to be to 'know' they're talking crap about someone. Their body language and tones change, they dart looks at people and the unprofessional snickering is a bit much. I did notice that they tend to look the guys up and down when they come in with their girls. I'm not sure if I'll be going back. It's close to our house, which is why I originally went. The place across the lot 'Nails' next to the tattoo parlor is NASTY and they do a REALLY bad job. I'll review them later. I hope this helps someone. read more

Horrible customer service. I've never been to a nail salon where making an appointment means absolutely nothing. Not only do the employees seem surprised that you have an appointment, but they do nothing to see you on time or acknowledge you, and in my case may even claim that you did not make an appointment and ask for proof. On many occasions, I don't understand why the person on the phone would not tell me it's extremely busy when I call and ask if it's okay to come literally in a few minutes. Or lie and say 5 mins where I'll really be waiting for at least 20. At least if you're honest then I wouldn't be so pissed having to waste my time doing nothing. If this was the first time I wouldn't have been so upset, but the fact that this has literally happened to me every visit is ridiculous.
