All I can say is wow. Very helpful, you can get some great ideas for kitchen countertops. Visited…read moreon the recommendation of a kitchen remodeler. Diego asked us for a photo of our kitchen flooring since we are not changing it. He found granite countertops that complemented the color. Huge slabs of quartz countertops in the warehouse to give you a better idea of what your kitchen will look like. We were also offered a small sample to take with us.

Beware of this supplier. We purchased 3 white quartz slabs (~$3200) from Hilltop Granite for a…read morekitchen and bathroom remodeling project. The slabs began to discolor drastically after 2-4 weeks of use. This is due to a manufacturing defect where 'micropits' exist in the slabs due to resin not being fully impregnated in the slab, allowing bacteria to grow and debris to accumulate. It look months of repeatedly contacting Hilltop to get them to come view the issue. Once there, the Hilltop manager in Houston acknowledged the defect (because this slab was made on their "cheap Chinese machine"-- his exact quote), but stated 'they offer no warranties or guarantees' for their products and attempted to shift responsibility to the fabricator who installed the slabs. Repair is not possible and both the slabs and attached tile backsplashes need to be removed and replaced. Hilltop's solution was to offer a free slab and leave us with the cost of removing and replacing everything else. Eg: leave us paying 70% of the cost to solve the problem caused by their defective material. We tried to go through Better Business Bureau to resolve the issue, they refused to resolve. We have now had your file a legal case against them to try to get a fair resolution.

My experience with Houston Hardwoods was great. I was looking to build a walnut tabletop and I…read morecouldn't have asked for better results. I am still kicking myself for not going to Houston Hardwoods first. I ended up going to a competitor in the Heights first, and I was shocked when they gave me the price for dimensioned walnut. I ran out of there and first thing Monday morning, I called Houston Hardwoods and spoke to John. I explained what I needed for the project and then told him what the competitor was charging. He said that seemed high and then gave me Houston Hardwoods' price. I about jumped out of my chair because the competitor was about 50% more. John told me that he would pick out some nice boards for me and have everything dimensioned. I was a little wary in not being able to pick out the boards myself, but shouldn't have been. They were ready the next day and I went to pick them up. True to his word, the boards looked great. I ended up finishing the table top and it turned out great. The wood was beautiful, the service was excellent. If you want beautiful wood at a great price, I would recommend Houston Hardwoods.

Big attitude from manager, no compensation for time, delivery or taking a day off since they aren't open on weekends. Replacement showed up strapped down to keep another customer order safe from the rain on open truck bed. Mine is warped. It's hard to warp hard maple. I ask for refund. Big drama from manager because I wouldn't let him try a 3rd time. Sorry, I have a job. It's not to wait for Houston Hardwoods to do theirs. The 2nd table was beautiful. A real shame it was wrecked in delivery. For over $600 I can just get a walnut table online and without the drama.
