A+++ Fantastic work! Friendly, professional, punctual, and worked with a sense of urgency to meet closing timelines. Highly recommended and would definitely use again. I'm selling a house, and Expert Plumbing completed repairs per buyer's inspection report: repaired garbage disposal (it was jammed), rodded both sides of kitchen sink (slow draining), reset toilet to floor, installed braided steel at washer supply lines, installed counterweight in master bedroom toilet handle (it would get stuck), and cut and reinstalled floor drain cover in utility room. read more

Expert Plumbing, Heating & Electrical - replaced washer lines with burst rated hoses - Plumbing Near Me - Naperville, Illinois

I had 'Expert' put in two electrical outlets, one of which they ran though my sink cabinet instead of the wall. I don't know where the other one goes since all I can see is a plug going into a hole in the wall on the side of my washer/dryer. They also replaced a 15 amp breaker with a 20 amp and added a new 20 amp. Some time later I looked in my electric box and noticed one of the new breakers was showing red. A young man came out and told me there was nothing wrong with the breaker and tried to charged me $99 to not fix it. I kinda lost my temper and told him to 'get out and sue me'. When I called the office to straighten things out, they had blocked my number. read more

This is the plumbing service that my HOA management company uses, so I was forced to work with them. At first the plumbers seemed helpful and respectful, but the more I dealt with them the more I found them dismissive and disrespectful. When one of the EP plumbers noticed problems with the work my contractor did, he did nothing to address those issues nor did he help me understand what needed to be fixed. When a different problem arose after EP's work, I called the company. The person who took the call answered with, "Expert Plumbing, how can I make you smile today?" As someone who works in customer service, I know how cringey that is for both the employee and the customer hearing it. Ugh. Yet, this EP employee did nothing to make me smile. She put me on hold for 2 or 3 minutes, and she did not help me get a resolution to the new problem. She told me that the new problem was due to my contractor and not EP. I had to hire a different plumber to fix this new issue, which he told me was because the previous plumber (EP) didn't take care of something. The new plumber fixed this problem AND he addressed the issues caused by a mistake my contractor made. That is the kind if service I expect. It is too bad Expert Plumbing doesn't deliver this level of customer service. read more

The cost to replace our broken faucet was expensive($677.95). The plumber arrived at 6:30pm, which the company considers after hours. We paid $159.95 for after hours diagnostic, which was not rolled into the cost of the repairs/parts. $233 to install our own homedepot ($139.00 )faucet. $285 to replace two angle stops. The plumber arrived on time, was polite and knowledgeable. read more

Excellent experience. I called in a panic around 10 am and was given a 2 hour window of 11-1. The office called to let me know Eric A was on his way and would be at the house in 15 minutes. He was right on time at 11 and was EXCELLENT. He diagnosed the problem, offered me a few alternatives (not many with a frozen pipe) and quoted a price. It was $80 for the call, and $375 for the work to put in a shut off valve and drain. He also offered a package for $375 that waived the service call, provided a 15% discount, and cleaning for our two furnaces - along with free service calls for the year. He was not "selling" just letting me know about my options which I really appreciated. If his level of service, and kindness is any indication of the firm, they will be a pleasure to work with. Eric completed the work in a timely manner, was very clean (covered his shoes in the house), and patiently answered the 10,000 questions I had about plumbing in general I am now a Raving Fan of Expert Plumbing!! read more

I had a very good experience with the Expert crew. Our furnace broke down, and everyone from Expert was great. The service technician, the installation crew, and the supervisor where very helpful and professional. They gave me options and didn't try to upsell me. When I asked questions about the options and systems, their answers made it obvious that they are enthusiastic about their professions, which I appreciated. The work was done promptly and all four technicians I met with seemed personable and trustworthy. I'll call them again because they made a stressful situation manageable. read more

avoid those people! they never return phone calls, they were supposed to come out to do my AC maintenance, nobody showed up and I was told oh we had you down for next week by mistake, no manager would ever call me back. There are many better options for plumbers, electricians and HVAC in the area. read more

Unfortunately, our experience with Expert Plumbing did not live up to the high reviews. We initially had them out to provide a service with a plumbing issue on July 13, 2022. We were repeatedly told by the technician that he recorded video of the issue with the pipes, his supervisor would review the video, and that we would be provided a copy of the video and receive a follow up phone call from his supervisor to go over the video and discuss the root issue/go over next advised steps. That never happened and the plumbing issue resurfaced on July 27, 2022 (less than two weeks later). We called Expert Plumbing again on the 27th and explained that the issue had returned. At this time, we also asked why we had not received the quoted copy of our video and follow up phone call from a supervisor. We were told that the technicians would be back that same evening to address the issue and that someone would follow up with us regarding the video and phone call that we did not receive from the visit on 7/13. In fact, I spoke with the same person twice that day about this and was reassured both times that someone would get back to us. Long story summarized, the technicians came out on July 27th and, for the first time, informed us that the camera "wasn't working" on July 13th; thus, there was no video. This was baffling because the technician said that the camera was not working on July 13th during the original visit...so, he actually came back the next morning with the camera to do the necessary recording and reiterated that we would get a call from his supervisor after he'd reviewed the video. It is clearly listed on our service agreement that a video was recorded and that we'd get the follow up call from the supervisor. Again, and I cannot stress this enough, at no point did anyone from management follow up with us to make us aware of the crucial detail that we would not be receiving the promised video - or just follow up in general like we were told that a supervisor would do. The company also kept the entirety of the money that we paid. This doesn't exactly seem fair or ethical considering that they did not honor the full quoted service agreement - which included the video and supervisor follow-up....and, again, didn't even bother to reach out to let us know that there would be no video or follow up from the supervisor. During the visit on the 27th the technician, without provocation/us asking, assured us that the service provided on the 27th would be at no charge to us given the circumstances. He ended up completely reneging on this and charged us for the visit (including mention of us being charged for "overtime fees"...even though the technicians did not show up within the quoted timeframe, which was no fault of ours). Again, we were promised a video and follow up call from his supervisor. We actually asked him if we would please get his supervisor on the line right then and there. One of the technicians stepped outside and spoke to the supervisor, who, for whatever reason, refused to speak directly to us as requested. We were told to call the main office and ask to speak to the owner, Becky. It should come as no surprise that we did not receive a video or follow up phone call from a supervisor for the service provided on 7/27. We've left two voice messages for management in addition to the two messages that we left with the person who answered the phone on 7/27 and the communication that the technicians had with the supervisor on 7/27 detailing our concerns. We also followed up with an email. That marks at least five attempts to try to speak to management to no avail. We respect that management is probably very busy and probably also is dealing with many things. However, the amount of energy and follow up needed on our end is a bit ridiculous at this point. Again, after reading all of the positive reviews, I am shocked and disappointed that this has been our experience. Hopefully, we are an unfortunate outlier; however, wanted to provide feedback to my fellow consumers all the same. read more

There is no 0 star to put for this company Highly unprofessional. They did repair on my furnace 3 times and had to keep changing the same part because of their incompetency of not finding the root cause of the problem. They lied to dealer and refused to complete the service. I have not dealt with such a bad company in my entire life read more

We have had Expert Plumbing out once to our old house and 3 times to a house we just bought for various issues. They are always on time, very professional, polite and have provided excellent service. I can not recommend them highly enough. read more

Extremely overpriced!!!! Paid $330 to have a my kitchen sink snaked during normal work hours. Beware of the bait and switch as the $89 diagnostic cost is truly that....they do not include in work cost. I will never use them again and do not recommend them. read more

To put this in correct perspective, many reviews for plumbers result from emergency calls and quite honestly, you will show favor if they show up especially when the demand is high (heavy rains, flooding). In fact, this is how I came upon Expert. They have done extensive work at both of my houses and most of it reasonably well except for the last job. I signed up for their preventative maintenance. They suggested a new filter for my humidifier which is in the attic. They changed the filter but failed to change the sleeve it sits in (a 75 cent piece of plastic). The residue from the old filter clogged the drain which dripped into the walls for 3 month's. This resulted in over $30,000. damage to our home and 9 month's of reconstruction. The owner, Don, would not answer my calls or return my calls. (Try to call him. He screens ALL of his calls). After many attempts to talk with the manager, I filed a complaint with BBB to no avail. I had insurance but for some reason they decided not to go after Expert Plumbing. There are many plumbers out there (I use Mendel), there is no reason to use this one.....very shady. read more

I urge you to find another company to complete your HVAC or electrical jobs. Expert Plumbing sent a technician out to give us an estimate for a few items (for a $79.95 service charge). Four days passed and I heard nothing, so I finally called them (twice!) to get them to send us the estimate, and when they did it was incomplete and inaccurate. I called at least four times and was promised a phone call back from Glen French, who I believe is the manager. My husband finally emailed him and asked for a new estimate with only the items we actually wanted to have completed (a closet light installed, a few additional fixtures installed). He never called me back, but finally responded via email, refusing to complete any sort of service, because we didn't want to have the really expensive recessed lighting installed (which, by the way, the technician himself advised against!) He told us they don't go all the way to Oak Park to install light fixtures. It certainly would have been nice if he had informed us of this fact before cashing our check to send a technician out to give us an inaccurate estimate! There was never any mention of a minimum labor requirement and I even asked the receptionist if they service Oak Park in my initial phone call. A big warning to anyone considering using this company! read more

Had them come in to fix a leaking kitchen sink and leaking outside faucet. Chris did an excellent job and was done in an hour and a half. Unfortunately for me, the job was $325 per job for a total of $650 plus $80 diagnostics fees. Apparently, Expert Plumbing does not do two hour minimum rate plus parts like most sane plumbers. They have a flat rate for each job. They conveniently fail to mention this when I called about the job and explained clearly what needed to be fixed. Accounting for parts at $50, I just paid over $300/hr. Zero stars! read more

After the recent flooding, we decided to renovate and upgrade the entire basement electrical system. This was a 2 day job that required pulling a permit from the City of Naperville, and Frank saw to it that the process was flawless. He even showed me one of my old 100 amp circuit breakers that was partially melted. A fire waiting to happen, so I'm glad we spent the bucks to get this done. Thanks guys! read more

Had a water line connection fail early in the morning on the Saturday of a holiday weekend. Called the 24-hour service and received a quick call back from the on-call plumber. He was able to come out within 60 minutes...in the meantime, we were able to figure out how to shut off the leak and restore water to the rest of the house. We were not even charged for the visit even though it was a Saturday. Nice employees and very efficient. A relief to have them available for emergencies! read more

Matt did an excellent end to end service job. 1) Before even arriving, he made clear that on a Saturday night the charges would be higher than normal. 2) He quickly assessed the situation, developed a plan of action, and explained both what he was going to do and why. 3) He did a good job of covering the floors (and between the ups and downs his feet) to make sure there was no mess left behind. 4) At the end he clearly explained what he had found and made suggestions on how to prevent in the future. Top notch service. Woudl recommend to anyone. read more

Totally disappointed with this company. Called them out for a repair on Friday. They didn't complete the work and blamed me! When I called them to fix my sump on Sat, the next day, they wanted me to pay the initial visit rate again and it would be more because of the weekend. Any quality firm would want to complete a job to ensue client satisfaction. read more

I had a big project of plumbing a new Dental office and Expert took care of it without a problem. The biggest obstacle was the City of Chicago and the plumbing code. Without any hiccups Brockman took care of everything and we passes all inspections. Their estimate was fair without any additional hidden costs. I highly recommend expert plumbing for big and small jobs read more

After our business had a sewer backup emergency at 10 PM, we called several "24 hour" plumbers and didn't get an answer or a call back. We waited until the morning and called Expert Plumbing, who not only answered the phone before 9 AM, but arrived sooner than they estimated. They took care of the problem after giving a reasonable quote. We were able to open for business less than two hours late and they were courteous and reasonably priced. I'll definitely use them again and would recommend. I wish I'd called them first! read more

Marc P was on time, cleaned furnace, good job, replaced igniter old and white, recommended new 16x25x5 filter. Courteous and thorough.

I don't write reviews but I have to give them credit for great customer service. Becky especially was super friendly, knowledgeable and concerned. She went out of her way to help me. I love when I call for service and you start with great customer care! read more

A good friend of mine, who uses this company, she recommended them to me when I had a plumbing issue. Even after reading this 1st review, I called them anyways. I have used them twice now. They rescheduled me once which was only a couple of hour's inconvenience, while keeping me updated on there arrival time. Once they arrived; they were very clean and professional. I have only used them for their plumbing and heating services so far. Both times I had great experiences; I would definitely call them again in the future. read more

Expert plumbing saved me! I was on a time crunch to fix a problem so that I could get occupancy for my new shop. Expert plumbing came out the same day, gave a very reasonable quote and did the work on my schedule. They also gave me expert advise on some electrical problems I was concerned about. Everyone that I dealt with, starting with the person who answered the phone was kind, professional and accomodating. I will recommend Expert Plumbing to the other shop owners in my plaza as well as my neighbors. It is so nice to find quality service at reasonable prices. read more

Another great service experience with Lance and Expert Plumbing, Heating & Electrical.

Worst experience ever for any kind of service whatsoever. Came out to unplug clog. Guy here for 4 hours and could not find or fix problem. We then could not stay in our house had to move out for 2 days. Charged us almost $800.00. Came back for 9.5 hours still could not fix problem. We were referred to someone else who fixed the problem within 1 1/2 hours. He was amazed at what a mess Expert left. Sewer garbage all over floors, all over walls from head to ceiling, sink, shower and hallway. Was told we now cannot use the bathroom until everything is replaced. Then get another bill one day later for another $1,200.00. Took pictures and will be reporting them to the BBB! read more

Totally ripped my mother-in-law off... $551.00 to replace a toilet flush valve, tank gasket, and wax ring, for maybe a half-hour's work and $30.00, retail, in parts! For that price, they could have installed 2 new toilets! The bill was not broken down to parts and labor, just 2 flat fees of $243.00 each for "Job 1: replace flapper, fix tank leak" and "Job 2: reset toilet on flange" (not exact quotes, but close enough), plus $79.95 "diagnosis fee". They did give her a senior discount, but that's kind of a moot point when the fee is so exorbitant to begin with... read more

Plumbers are absolute crooks and should some how be regulated. I had a clogged kitchen sink last Friday evening and were getting ready for graduation party on Saturday. I called Expert and they had someone at my home within an hour--which was great. When the service rep called he said the "service fee" would be $139.00. The normal fee was $89 so an extra $50 on a Friday night didn't seem to bad. I guess I didn't catch on. He arrived. Checked things out and said the bill would be $382.69!!! I almost had a heart attack! The $139 was only for him to come and look at the problem. At this point I had no choice. The service rep got out his "roto rooter" machine, disconnected the trap, did his thing, and was gone in about 30 minutes! What an absolute rip off!!!!! I don't know what other plumbers charge but if they all charge this must, they screw everybody!!!! read more
