Levon came out for an estimate and everything seemed to be going well... They came out late on a Wednesday and I was supposed to be the last customer for the day. As it was late, they told me they would have to come back either at the end of the day on Friday or first thing on Saturday to fix everything. I even asked Levon what worked better for him and we decided to set up an appointment for first thing in the morning on Saturday at 830AM. We got up early instead of sleeping in and my wife pulled her clothes out of the closet (again) to get them access to the crawl space under the house. They pulled a NO-SHOW! I finally called after they sent me an automatic text stating their work was completed. I wasnt going to bother calling, but after talking with my wife, we thought we'd pass it on to someone at the office. I spoke to a Peter, who told me he'd find out what happened and call me back in 5 minutes... that was about 3 hours ago. Tried calling two more times, but the line just goes to a machine now. Update from my previous review Now the comapny sued me for refusing pay them $500.00 in a small claim court. They stated that the $ 500 is just for the removing the leaking section and applying pipe dope without adding $300 diagnostic fee. It is an obvious lie. Even I have evidence that the previous agreement was $300 for the diagnosis, but I don't know how they put it in the bill on their cell phone before I was forced to sign. As I said in the previous review, all the process of the removing the leaking section and applying pipe dope took them exactly 12 minutes. It would be shorter if Levon didn't talk over his phone during majority of these 12 minutes. is there any place I can complain about the despicably deceptive and price gouging behavior? Friday night after 7pm and the knob on my shower busts couldn't turn my shower off had to turn off our water. Called Expert Plumbing and Rooter within an hour Levon is at my door he looked over the situation, Explains that it's such an easy fix he would hate to have to charge me for it. He told me what parts to buy and what to do sure enough After a quick trip to the hardware store I had my shower fixed all by myself and I'm no handy man. TONY IS THE MAN! we found Expert Plumbing & Rooter during the inspection process for our current home but Tony's skills and work ethic are what has kept him as our permanent plumber. The previous owner of our home was a paranoid hot mess who decided to do all of the plumbing/electrical/structural work on his own (because you know, as a part time chimney sweep and chef he was totally qualified to do that. When it came to our attention that our sprinklers were flooding the neighborhood -because the former owner paved over part of the yard but didn't cap off the sprinklers- Tony was at our home within minutes of our frantic phone call and didn't even charge us. Granted, all he did was shut off the knob but David and I are idiots when it comes to stuff like that and were more than happy to pay him just for coming out and then some. Fast forward a few weeks and in the 20 minutes i was gone to pickup the kiddo from school, one of my kitchen sinks leaked enough to create a small lake. Long story short, Tony fixed yet another mistake in this lovely but ill-constructed home. He is currently fixing two more issues (our prep sink and small guest room bathroom toilet). He put a camera (coolest thing ever) down my pipe and showed me all the roots. He then gave me a reasonable price to jet out all of the roots and even gave me warranty on the work. The work was labor-intensive since the bathtub was 'vintage' and the kitchen sink plumbing had been done incorrectly when it was renovated. The work was done in what I thought was an appropriate amount of time and the labor was clean and friendly. Is anyone satisfied with a price? So we've been dealing with a clogged kitchen sink for some time now and finally it was time to call a plumber. After calling numerous places we settled in expert plumbing due to their same day service (within 2 hours of calling!!). Of note they do charge $39.99 for a diagnosis but if you decide to go ahead with their services the diagnosis fee is included with the price. To unclog our sink (without the access point that would have made it a lot cheaper) the fee was a little under $200 which was comparable to other plumbing places I called. One thing I really liked about this service is that they text you when you schedule your appointment and get text updates regarding the plumber arrival time as well as the invoice. In addition to this our plumber also gave us a courtesy call which I really appreciated. Our plumber, Andrei was very nice and gave a long detailed explanation of what was wrong with the kitchen sink pipe. Came home last night to a flooded bathroom, called these guys freaking out. Met with Levon, let me just start by saying...wow HOT! But also, he was straight forward no bullsh** (pun intended), carried himself with integrity and there was an aura of honesty in the way he carried himself that's hard to find in a big city. The problem was a root in the drain, he cut open a small part of the concrete, replaced the pipe and closed it back up in a matter of hours. Here is what I liked about these guys... 1.) They offered to have a technician come out to my house the same day and quoted me the price of $95 to unplug my clogged kitchen sink. I wasn't able to have them come the same day, and the technician came out 2 days later at exactly the time he was promised to arrive. It took a under an hour to unplug my sink. He charged me $200 to do it. He also told me that My problem is chronic and caused by old pipes. It was more expensive then I expected. I have used these guys twice now. First time was an emergency my tub leaked water everywhere they came out right away and fixed it. This time my toilet was leaking every time I flushed it. Made an appointment, since I have another toilet I can use in the meantime. They showed up on time and were super professional. Andrei is the man. He is fast and efficient, you can tell he knows what hes doing. He pulled the toilet off and resealed it super fast, put in new bolts and said it should be good for awhile. I also talked to him about how this toilet was super slow compared to my other one. He went to the truck and got some parts and fixed it up so now it fills super fast. I am a neat freak and he even wore boots in the house to keep my floors clean. He cleaned up everything when he was done. Cant say enough positive things about Levon and the team at Expert Plumbing and Repair. We called them after smelling gas in our kitchen and later having our gas shut off by the gas company. Levon responded to our call and quickly stopped by to assess the situation. He was very thorough in tracing the gas lines to find the leak, and eventually had to replace a large section of piping behind our stucco wall to fix the leak. While the work wasnt cheap, it solved our problem and allowed us to quickly restore gas and heat to our home. Levon was very easy to deal with, very honest and upfront about the potential for extension work that would be needed, and did a great job repairing the brick and stucco where the piping had to be repaired. These guys are amazing! I just moved into a house and literally had plumbing issues right away with the shower backing up after 15 minutes. Beware of their emergency service prices. I appreciated the fact that they came out on Memorial Day, but charging $495 to replace a ice maker valve seems very expensive to me, I understand the $120 service call fee, but $375 to replace a valve is excessive, they said that it was because they needed to drain the system, but that is a very simple operation, I feel like they take advantage of emergency situations. I have no complaints as far as the work done, the guys were efficient and professional, the just overcharged me. I believe that the $120 service call fee should be more than enough, there was no need to overcharge. read more

We called Expert Plumber on Friday night. They told us they would have a plumber on the scene at 7:30am on Saturday morning. First, the plumber showed up late. Then, he tried to charge us over $300 bucks to snake a sink drain. My roommate is a contractor and told him that was ridiculous. Thus, the guy told us he would do it for $120, then left the apartment to go get some additional supplies. Here's the punchline: He never came back!! And, his office ignored our calls. I found this plumber after striking out twice with two others. I originally called the first two because I had some coupons they had sent. The first one couldn't come before Monday, and there was no way I was sitting with a disgusting toilet for four days. The second one had a bizarre policy where I couldn't just call and make an appointment, I had to give them my info and they would call me back "within the hour." They didn't want to give me a quote either, saying the plumber would show me the price when he arrived, but they finally relented. It didn't matter though, because when the hour passed without a callback, I took to yelp. And I'm so glad I did! I picked this plumber based on the positive reviews, and my experience matched theirs. Not only did a friendly person pick up the phone, but the person who picked up the phone and spoke to me, Levon, was actually the person who would be coming to fix my toilet! That may seem small, but it's not. It meant I got a sense of who would be coming into my home in advance, I didn't have to re-explain anything, and I never had to deal with any "price the person on the phone quoted" vs "what the plumber is trying to charge me now" drama. And, yeah, he had no trouble quoting me a price and sticking to it. It even ended up cheaper than the other place's coupon! This is the second time we called them. First time the father came and connected the water to our fridge which was great and second time the son came because our toilet was clogged up. It was Saturday but he still made sure to make it but by the time he came our toilet magically started to work again. He was super nice and didn't even charge us for coming over. Wow, talk about 24 hr. Emergency Response Team! I found their number through Yelp and I called them earlier this evening at 6:30pm due to a water heater problem. Levun arrived at 7:34pm, half hour ahead of schedule. Levun was polite, knowledgeable and prompt. He even showed us how to resolve the issue ourselves in case we run into the same problem again. Granted, it was what we were doing all along but the difference is, he made it work. He was out the door within 10 minutes. I'm happy the other 3 companies I called prior to calling Expert Plumbing: 1) was unavailable until tomorrow, 2) put me on hold for 10 minutes and 3) went straight to voicemail. I had what appeared to be a burst pipe under my house around dinner time and called the plumber I'd used before who had given me a magnet with their phone number on it. I was assured a dispatcher would call me back right away, but after 15 minutes with no return call I found Expert Plumbing on Yelp. I spoke to a plumber, Daniel, right away and he was at my house within 10 - 15 minutes. Although he couldn't fix it that night, he came back first thing in the morning and took care of the problem, which fortunately wasn't a burst pipe. But he did still have to go into the muddy crawl space under the house Daniel explained everything along the way and worked with me on the price. I didn't get a magnet from him, but I will definitely keep the phone number of Expert Plumbing where I can find it if I need it again. My employees called for emergency service at 5am. They were told someone would arriving within an hour and a half, and we'd had no sign nor hair of them by 10:45. They never even called to tell us they'd be late. ---Update 12/2/14 Roman, the owner, called me to express his regret with that incident. It was a misunderstanding and he apologized profusely. Roman was great and wanted to identify the issues so he could fix them in the future. He reminded me that we've received as much service from them as possible in the past, and that service has been as sound as possible.
