I have used another window replacement company a couple of times but could not get an appointment from them for 4 days. I saw the good review for Southwind Auto Glass so called them. Austin answered my call, took my information, found he had my window replacement available and contacted me within 2 hours saying he was on his way. He was professional, thorough, and efficient. He vacuumed my car of all broken glass, replaced my broken window, and tested it completely before buttoning it up completely. And he did not charge extra for coming to a local address to complete my repair! I was very lucky to find Southwind, and Austin, during a short stay in the area. The folks here recognize repeat customers, but due to their new computer system, you have to tell them specifically. The price to fix a small crack in a windshield is about $100 cheaper here than their Safelite competitors located directly across Winchester Road. I do wish that they would either dismantle or repair their broken clock on their sign located in front of their shop. It's a bad look. (also: This was once a family-owned business. As of August of 2022, it was sold to a corporation. As expected, things are now no longer quite the same.)

I arrived at 1:47 pm and did not leave until 3:00 pm, an hour for a simple chip repair. The repair itself looked like it was poorly done and the next day when I went out to my car, there was a large crack that had developed that had not been there when I had arrived home from the repair. In short, it was a complete substandard experience and I will never use them again.
