Alandata has provided straight answers with professionalism. Explained common process and protocol on getting your hard drive fixed. Also, the thing that stands out from any other repair spot. They have an address of location you can go to for evaluations. An actual Lab catered for specific hard-drive repairs. It is very difficult to trust a company with all your memories. You can use online mail services or go to other fake repair shops to entrust them to fix your priceless memories, risking damage or uncertainty of scheduled repair as well as not knowing where your devices current where abouts. Shopping around, I believe Alandata is a solid company that you can trust to fix your Hard-drive. I never went with them since I was able to repair my hard-drive myself. But if I had too, this would be my definite place to get my priceless memories fixed. Thank you Alandata for your feedback.

Fast forward to about a month ago where I closed my laptop lid and CRACK - something happens where basically the bezel, back over, and hinge gets damaged to the point where it looks like I ripped it apart when I open my laptop back up. Tried to fix it and somehow made it worse by messing up the screen and man, I've done my fair share of taking computers apart before but I wasn't going to mess with my laptop after this series of unfortunate events. Cue Eric! I reached out to a couple of repair guys for a quote and Eric gave me the best one AND the hope that my laptop could be saved (I had a couple others tell me it wasn't worth the fix; mind you, my computer itself worked fine still - I just had to plug in an external monitor to get anything productive done). He was timely with messages, and even let me know that some parts were missing for repair and ordered it for me. His quote was reasonable in comparison to the cost of a brand new laptop and now that I've had it back for a couple weeks; I can honestly say it feels brand new. Appreciate his quickness and his expertise, would definitely come back for any silliness I encounter with computers down the road. Thanks, Eric!

Instead they tried to tell me I need much more expensive repairs. I order the JB weld for $6 and fixed it myself. Now the owner is out $100 and get a bad review for being dishonest. Edit: owner is also a liar trying to defend his dishonesty. I've attached a picture of our conversation in Yelp. Edit 2: oh so you didn't lie about talking to me you just so overwhelmed you couldn't remember all the people that you spoke to which is why you said you didn't speak to me. And you're not dishonest you are incompetent because you had to quote a much more expensive repair instead of doing quick repair. Makes sense considering you are so overwhelmed with business that you would immediately try and push a longer more expensive repair instead of a quick JB weld job. People if you do business with this man you deserve what you get.

2.5 stars. I give this place mixed reviews. The Good:…read moreI went there several years ago after visiting 2 other repair shops that quoted me $100+ to fix a cracked phone screen. When I brought it here to CPR, they showed me that it was actually the screen protector and not the actual screen. They quoted me $25 for a new phone protector and offered to put it on for me right there. I was so grateful! When I asked if the other places would know that they said, "Of course, they were trying to take advantage of you!" I had been loyal ever since. The Bad: Fast forward to now (about 10 years later),... I hate to say it but I believe greed has gotten the best of them. I went there a few months ago to repair my iPad screen. It was $260! I went twice last week asking for a quote to submit to insurance both times they took down my information (on a "sticky note") and told me the owner would email or text me a quote within a day or two. I just had a feeling those sticky notes go directly in the trash. Here it is a week (& several follow ups) later and no one has contacted me or knows anything about my previous request(s). My advice,.. pretend you are interested in getting the repair asap, otherwise, I'm quite sure they just throw it in the trash.
