The place needs new carpet and furniture and a complete deep cleaning. The bathtubs were filthy. We were supposed to be supplied with basics, like hand soap and dish soap and the containers were all empty. The microwave didn't work at all. The internet did not work for part of our stay. It was $389.79 a night. They did take off $150 for our complaints. I would have picked up and went somewhere else but there was no availability the weekend we were there.

We have never had a problem getting in to our room and were even able to check in early the second time as the cleaning lady was just leaving and told us we could head up she was done. The condo is always VERY clean and well equipped with anything you might need kitchen wise (except maybe a wine opener). The view is fantastic and it's relatively quiet in the building (no screaming drunkenness at 3am). It is in the PERFECT spot to walk to anything you might want...the beach is a little over a mile and downtown is a couple blocks away. They charge a premium in the summer time but rightfully so! We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area. Love it!

First, the location is awesome. Across the street from a Lake Macatawa access (our balcony had a lake view) and down the street from the Holland State Park Lake Michigan Beach (perfect to watch the sun set). We also hiked Mt. Pisgah a couple of days (just down the street too). We stayed in the Newport (sleeps 8, 4 in beds, 4 in sofa beds). We loved the unit from the decor to the multi level layout and fully stocked kitchen. If someone in your party has trouble with stairs I might pick a unit that has an additional first floor kitchen/bar. There is a jet tub in the master bath and a private patio with a grill off the back of the first floor bedroom. There is also an outdoor grill with patio table seating right off the pool deck for entertaining. The salt water pool and hot tub (mostly the hot tub) was my fav, especially after climbing all those stairs at Mt Pisgah. 8 minutes to downtown Holland and 20 minutes to Saugatuck. Just down the street was a kayak and paddle board rental place. Additionally you get privileges at the Macatawa Golf Club which was very nice. It was worth every penny and we hope to go back again!

The rooms were comfortable and the well-equipt kitchenette made it very convenient to have alternatives to eating out. We were allowed to pick blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries to include with our meals or just as a snack. The hostess was accessible, helpful, and extremely responsive to our questions and needs. We will stay here again.

There is hiking trails, fishing, swimming, boat launch and much more to do close to the Motel. Downtown isn't far from the motel along with good restaurants. The owners were easy to locate and were very knowledgeable of the various sites around the area and seemed to know all the activities that were going in town at the time. The rooms were in the process of being updated but were clean, comfortable and rather homey feeling.
