We were traveling with a group, my husband was moving grills and wood from our site to theirs (we were not as close to our group as we thought) and was parked literally for less than 10 mins to the side of the road ...the owners site was right across - he came out without a hello or welcome but right away jumped in "You can't park there" as we were very clearly unloading ... from that point it went downhill - never told us who he was; asked if we wanted to be kicked out and quite frankly was a straight up jerk. It wasn't until later that night that other campers told us who he was and that's normal behavior. If that is how the owner treats his customers you can rest assured we will never be back.

The speed limit is 5mph." End quote. When I tried to explain my car was at idle speed he replied "You may need to ride your brakes then." As a father camping with two toddlers I appreciated their concern for safety somewhat but was conflicted when they never wore masks when speaking to campers, ever in the 4 days we stayed. Even when requiring campers to wear masks when entering their office to check-in, buy firewood/ice/etc. Reader beware that their name "Paradise" does not advertise that you must enter through the back alley of a car dealership and you are only separated from the highway by a few feet and an 8ft fence. We heard drag racing, honking, and sirens every night we were there.

We found a KOA that looked promising. It's an interesting set up, speed limit is 4.93 mph, petting zoo, pool (closed for the season) and all the KOA amenities. We met the owner who told us his story about the Mohawk, if you get a chance ask him about it. Huge sites. Our site was buried in the trees which is great and it's a back in. Let's be honest if you can't back in your trailer into a spot should you really be pulling a trailer, maybe have your wife back it in instead. We are putting this KOA on our fall locations.
