It was our first time camping so I don't have a lot to compare it to but we had a great time. They had a lot of activities for our grandson. The lots are a little to close for my taste. I would prefer a little privacy. Very nice people run the place.

This is a tough park to review. I liked certain parts and really disliked other parts. First, the good: If you're looking for a camping experience away from it all and out in the country amongst trees, this is the place. Lots of activities and things to do for the children...pool, goats, an old fire engine, paint ball rifles, lots of roads for bicycles, a huge jump pad, etc. Great tent areas that were roomy and nestled in the forests. A few real nice cabins. Loved the campfire smells. Great owner, friendly, sharp and attentive. Trash pickup. Got nice and quiet after the weekend crowd left....to be expected in any park. The not-so-good: Not your usual KOA with concrete pads and extra roomy sites and sparkling picnic tables. Ours was unusable as were the ones on either side of use. Sites were too close, I should've asked for a different site. All sites were back-in, even though many were very long. Some really trashy long-term coaches, first as you went to your site and others back in the back end of the park. Cannot understand how KOA lets this be a part of their brand. Not a convenient location to see any sites nearby. Not passing judgement on the park just passing my observations along...because I somewhat liked it. However, we will find another place next time.

Service is terrible - rude employees. We felt very uncomfortable staying there and spent most of the time in our trailer.

The campground itself was pretty nice- bathrooms were clean, pool was good, the paintball gallery was cool, jump pad & goats-- all fun.

While travelling home, plans are already being made for another camping vacay at this KOA. The staff were all friendly and helpful, creating a family-like atmosphere. The cabins were clean, updated, and the beds were quite comfortable. Our deluxe cabin bathroom and kitchenette were also stocked with amenities, making the stay comfortable and effortless. Outside our temporary home was our own gas grill, patio table with seating, fire ring, and Adirondack chairs. How nice it was for meals on the deck and campfires in the evenings! Every morning we looked forward to the 3/4 mile hiking trail around the lake... which was gorgeous. Although, we personally don't fish, we enjoyed watching other guests fishing from the shore and various docks regularly. There is also a fun area of the campground that includes playground equipment, basketball, volleyball, a jumping pad that looks like a blast, and they were setting up some interesting looking mining activity. We did spend time on their community patio overlooking a fabulous greenspace, fire pit, swim beach, and the lake. I could've spent all day on the patio with the relaxing patio lights, flowering planters, and comfortable Adirondack chairs. The camp store is again clean, updated, and well-stocked, but I was also impressed that the prices were reasonable, which is not always the case in these type of "convenience" situations. Overall, cherished camping memories were made this past weekend, and we are anxious to return in the near future for more! Thank you KOA Muskegon staff!

The unique things it has are cool bikes (3 wheels, that balance on their own) that you can pay extra to use. We were at a yogi bear cabin that has a comfortable queen bed in a back room, a second room with 4 bucks, and a cotton in the living/dining area. It's camping in that it's not squeaky clean, you have to bring linens, towels, etc. Some cook wear is provided and plates, cups, & silverware. Bring sticks for s'mores & fire starters. Firewood is nicely cut but 8+/bunfle. Really burns well. There are no leftover things like salt/pepper or coffee--bring it all. I didn't even get one garbage bag. Come prepared & you'll have fun. Ceiling fans were a lovely surprise. As noted, some staff is pretty green--we never could figure out if laser tag was available. It's a fun place, the pool is cold, and the ice cream is yummy.

Owners are ESPECIALLY STRICT on their 5mph speed limit to the point their employees will wave their arms and chase you down to remind you that, quote; "It's not 10mph, not 7 or even 6mph... The speed limit is 5mph." End quote. When I tried to explain my car was at idle speed he replied "You may need to ride your brakes then." As a father camping with two toddlers I appreciated their concern for safety somewhat but was conflicted when they never wore masks when speaking to campers, ever in the 4 days we stayed. Even when requiring campers to wear masks when entering their office to check-in, buy firewood/ice/etc. Reader beware that their name "Paradise" does not advertise that you must enter through the back alley of a car dealership and you are only separated from the highway by a few feet and an 8ft fence. We then went in September and walked by that same lot and the spigot was still broken. Last year on Memorial Day weekend the concrete pads in the lots had about 1" of sand, pine needles and basic debris. The Sunday before Memorial Day they finally filled the pool. You would think that the owners would at least try to do basic upkeep on one of the busier weekends of the year and the kick off of camping season. On various lots there was grass that was 12" high. This year over Memorial Day it stormed a lot. The grade of this campground is awful. There are whole lots that are covered in water. I don't think this park owns a string trimmer because there are weeds growing along every pole and tree. Whatever the "Maintenance Fees" that we pay go for, it's obviously not going into upkeep on this park. Thankfully we were only scammed into getting a 2 year membership. We are thankful we didn't sign up for a 5 year or lifetime membership. This place is a scam
