AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Read all of the one-star reviews before you risk ever taking your computer here. I currently work at a PC repair store, and have been working on PC's for 8+ years. I worked at THIS shop for ONE day. In the "interview", the owner asked about political views and my thoughts on the vaccine, and it was heavily implied there was a "right" answer to get the job, which is flat-out discrimination based on political belief. Then, was told he "usually prefers to hire hot chicks" to "have some eye candy around", so I guess I got lucky when he said he'd bring me on. He also flat-out told me his other employee has no idea what he's doing with computers. I was then informed that the shop runs under-the-table, tax-free, because he "doesn't like to deal with the government." My first day, we had a PC that wouldn't power on. I ran a couple tests and almost immediately asked if there was another CPU we could try, because it seemed like a dead CPU. He told me no, that's not it, try a new motherboard. When I did, I had a couple standoffs that hadn't been removed, and he told me I was going to "short the motherboard" because of the standoffs, and "not to question him", even though shorting a motherboard that way is impossible, the standoffs are there to specifically prevent that happening. When it wasn't the board, he had me replace two other components before FINALLY trying a new CPU, and wouldn't you know it, it powered right up. He told me how impressed he was with my skills and apologized for being rude about it, and everything was fine, he paid me on-the-spot, through Zelle, tax-free. Asked if I was willing to walk around the neighborhood putting fliers on people's doors to "boost business", which is something I've never had to do at a job. Told me to come back the next day. Next day, can't get ahold of him at all. Walked a mile to the store for my shift, and the owner immediately said "me and my partner (there is no partner, he runs it himself) decided not to bring you on." I tried to ask why, and he said my "skillset wasn't what the store was looking for." Take your PC here if you're okay with a misogynistic conspiracy theorist who hires people he himself says don't know what they're doing, and doesn't hire people who do. Stay away, unless you're the IRS. read more

About a year ago I brought in an older desktop computer for repair. It was beyond repair and Mike gave me a very fair price on a comparable used replacement. It worked perfectly fine. Just recently I decided to purchase a new computer. I did purchase it from a different store but decided to bring it back to Mike at Expercomp to transfer all the data and files from the old computer I purchased there to my new one. First of all his store is only 4 miles away from where I live as opposed to the other store being 25 miles away and his price was 30 % less. He was able to complete the task the same day I brought it in and it only took 3 hours. The other store required that I leave it overnight so I would have had to make 2 round trips totaling 100 miles plus wait 24 or more hours as opposed to making 2 round trips totaling 16 miles and only having to wait 3 hours! I know very little technically about computers and Mike explained everything to me because I was switching from Windows 10 to Windows 11. I am 100% satisfied with both of my visits to Expercomp so obviously I would highly recommend anyone in need of computer repair to go to Expercomp in Littleton. read more

If you take your computer anywhere else for repair you probably shouldn't own a computer. Friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.

I have zero knowledge when it comes to computers. I brought my desktop in for repair. What was thought to be a simple item at first (needed a new power source ) ended up being much more complicated. Mike thoroughly explained everything he needed to do, none of which I understood , and also gave me some helpful pointers. He set me up with a different computer actually better than the one I had and the price was very reasonable Mike is very knowledgeable and his prices are more than fair. The only negative is that they are a little unorganized and communication is not the best. If you're in a hurry to get your device repaired you might have a problem. For me the honesty, knowledge and fair price made up for the confusion and long wait. I will definitely use them again if need be. read more

Awful service. Had a keyboard replaced on my laptop and went out within 6 months. Was told the warranty would cover and was told an replacement was ordered. 7 weeks and still don't have it and Mike is never around to answer questions. Should have known when I had the original replacement done, it took 2 months for him to get his order in, used Ebay for the parts btw. I am leaving town and will need to get someone else to do it in the town I am moving to. Don't use them, you will be disappointed! read more

Worse than nothing. Took him my computer to reinstall windows, he said that he would fix it that day and call me to pick it up. I was in a hurry so I left it with him. It took me almost two weeks to be able to even pick up my laptop again. The guy is NEVER around. I called or went to his store during his business hours (which are on a sticky note on the front door) almost every day he claimed to be open. Can't leave voicemail so eventually I left a physical note on his door just asking him to call me the next time he was in so I could get my computer back and try to fix it myself. He didn't call, however several business days later he was finally in the store and I went in and got my computer. He informed me that Windows can't be installed and that my computer needed a new hard drive. Something he would do for $260. I took it home, installed windows for free (my hard-drive was fine), and my computer is fine. However to his credit, he didn't try to charge me. He didn't seem like a bad guy, but I don't think he has the time or give-a-damn to run this place. read more

I brought my computer in for some dead screen pixels and a burned out mother board, and I was told I would have my laptop by the following Wednesday. A week after the expected date I finally got my laptop back, with the delay being explained that mail was running slow for them (found this out after 3 days of calling wondering when I could have my it back). I also ended up with a new hard case (which I didn't really even want as I had personalized and loved my own). I was willing to let this go, but a month after I got my laptop back I went to use my disc drive for the first time, and it would not read any disc I put in, despite the fact that it worked before I took it in. I immediately took my laptop back, and I was told to call them in a bit for an update (and it was implied that I may have to pay for extra work in fixing the problem). I was then told the owner couldn't get anybody to come in to look at my laptop, (apparently he w/couldn't do it himself) and would have to wait a day or two. I opted to get it back as I had work that I need to do get done on it. That night I went to play some music on the speakers and found my once perfectly working speakers were crackly and randomly had static (ie dying). I paid nearly $500 for repairs and ended up with those repairs done, and a whole new set of problems. I have not taken it back because I don't have the money to pay for the additional repairs of the items that were damaged in the process of their work last time, and in truth my trust in the company is miniscule. The young man who I have encountered there several times (Shawn?) was very nice and tried to be helpful. I am not sure if their prices are good or not but I certainly hope they didn't charge me for the cover I neither requested nor wanted. I would say pay the price for geek squad or at least somewhere that will guarantee everything else will still be working, as well, by the time you get your laptop back. This place doesn't seem worth their costs, whether or not their prices are good) *Update: Nope prices are ridiculous. Especially since I have had to take my laptop elsewhere for additional repairs. Apparently they tore up the rest of the shell around the keyboard when they "fixed" it. I took it to get fixed because the charging port stopped working. They failed to properly attach it to the motherboard, which was what was replaced by expercomp, and it ended up just causing more damage. Also that new cover they gave me, falling apart. I also ran into a person who just loves the red shell they bought from here, especially since it has these great fairy stickers that look an awful lot like mine. This. Place. Sucks. read more

We took our ASUS PC here in Jan. We were told our mother board was bad and I'd have it back in a week. The owner, is a nice enough guy, however is lacking on the customer side. I had to repeatedly call to see when my computer would be finished. We were told the motherboard could only come from China and the one they sent was bad so they had to reorder one. Three weeks later we have a new motherboard we pay about $400 and take my 2.5 year old laptop home. It works for a day or two and then stops working, same as before. I take it back since we have a warranty and are told we got another bad mother board. They again reorder one and we get another "bad" one...seriously? I again repeatedly have to call to check on it and are told it should be here this week and should be done by Friday that was the week of March 11th, never here back from them. I call march 21 to find out where my computer is...oh the order got canceled Last Tuesday they sent him a email, we never heard from them! His excuse for not calling to tell us...he's been trying all week to find another but had no luck. I told him I was coming in to get my computer and my money back. He calls and leaves a message 5 mins later, he miraculously found a motherboard. They hadn't found one in all this time, but somehow one is found five mins after I said I was coming to get my money?! I get to the store ask for my computer and money, and make sure our original motherboard is back in our laptop...nope he threw it away?!?! I get mad and advise him that's not ok, he didn't even ask me if I wanted him to toss my original motherboard, of course there's nothing he can do now. When asked why? He advised because he put in a different one, but then proceeded to tell me how "I might have done something to ruin the new one he put in" the one that worked for a day or two! At this point I'm really angry. I tell him to give me our money back and we will have to deal with the issue of my motherboard in a different way. He then proceeds to tell me he has to find my original receipt but I'll have to step out of the store so he can look for it!?!? Not sure if he thought I was gonna steal my own computer or maybe the crap he had laying around? I told him I'd certainly stand outside with my computer and the "virus infected loaner " he lent me for the time he had ours. He didn't like that and didn't want his computer and me outside....apparently I look like a theif?! I refused to step out without my money. He reluctantly gave me my money back on a card even though I paid $280 in cash, the rest on a card. We now have a 2.5 year old laptop with no motherboard. We did call 3 other PC repair shops in the area and asked what they do with the parts they replace and everyone said, they offer it to the customer but if the customer doesn't want it they recycle them. The all said they do not throw out customers parts that were brought in unless told. They also told us that something seems off. Basically we can't even take it some where else now to "really see what was wrong with it". The whole thing was pretty "shady" business. Go anywhere else even if it costs more, this place does not practice good business at all and the owner is a disaster to deal with...I'd give them less than a star but I wasent able to. read more
