We have a EV truck and there are only a couple of repair shops for these vehicles because they are complex and time consuming in repair. Our insurance company referred us to Exoticar Paintworks and we were well taken care of. The repair was done and with inspection there was one minor issue which they immediately contacted the insurance company to fix, no problem. The only feedback I have is communication lag. In the span of 6 months I had the misfortune of being involved in 2 car accidents (neither were my fault). Both times, Hugo and his team at Exoticar Paintworks Inc. took those bad situations and made everything as it should be and put my "baby" back together again. I drive an older model Land Rover LR4 which isn't made anymore, and so finding replacement parts as well as skilled technicians to work on my car is no easy task. For these reasons, I was forewarned of the possibility that my car would be deemed a total loss by the insurance company for this latest collision damage. TESLA owners beware!! This shop is now on the recommendations for body work when you use the Tesla app to submit a request for collision repair. I brought my Model 3 here for a simple replacement of my driver's side mirror. My estimator, Robert, was basically salivating as he wrote up an estimate for this seemingly simple job. I've had bigger parts replaced on the car before, they are very modular and basically plug and play. He goes on to explain that they can only order the part unpainted, so it would need 1.9 hours of paint shop labor, then 1 hour of body labor, 1.4 hours of mechanical labor, and 1.9 "hours of paint supplies". The dude has the most unsettling smile on his face while tabulating this total. Parts would be 558, then 531 for labor - FOR A MIRROR!!?!? I took the estimate and drove directly to Tesla Service on Sahara, since no one answers the phone or responds on the app, I figured I would just walk in. Tesla was happy to help me. They ordered the part pre-painted, and after parts, labor, and taxes it's gonna cost me about $650 all in. Tesla Service is charging me over $400 LESS than this 'certified' body shop. Tesla owners STAY AWAY. Also, they only take cash or money order or insurance check. No credit cards. So who knows how much shady stuff they're doing through this shop. Just no. Nope. read more

I've had a BMW and a Porsche repaired by EPI. The Porsche repair, in particular, was a significant amount of work. The car was rear-ended by a jacked-up truck that did something like $11,000 in damage. In both cases, EPI did beautiful work. It was absolutely impossible to tell where the repairs were performed, and the paint was flawless. Having said nice things, here's the rub. They do take their time in performing repairs, and they're expensive. Worth it, I'd say -- but there's no doubt that they realize they're the best in town, and they're not afraid to charge accordingly. It's inexcusable, however, that they don't accept credit cards. They can charge a transaction fee if they're actually worried the 2-3% (but they shouldn't be given their prices). The other thing is that the two people they have answering the phones are terrible. Seriously -- they must have recruited from DMV rejects to find them. read more

She told me to just let her do her job in dealing with the insurance company. My only complaint through the whole ordeal was dealing with my insurance company. Jonathon Provost was my estimator. I told him that there had been some kind of consternation with my first State Farm Adjuster in that they did not recommend Exoticar. Jonathon explained to me that they used to have an employee at Exoticar who started working with State Farm. He said that was why State Farm was not recommending them. Jonathon took ill. I repeatedly tried calling him to get an update. I waited months for a call. Finally he called me. I told him that I could barely hear him. He responded that he was at a strip club. I said to myself, "To each their own". I didn't care. I just wanted an update on my car. Jonathon told me that the panels were ordered in the wrong color. He said that my car would look like a "clown car" if he put those panels on. He told me that he was sending them back to order the correct ones. I never heard back from him. I waited and just assumed he ordered the correct ones. He NEVER informed me that he hadn't sent them back and that he was just going to paint them. Eventually, when I got my car back after 3 months, I noticed that the bumper wasn't corrected. I brought that up which, in turn, led Jonathon to say that he would just paint it like he did all the other panels. This was the first I heard of this endeavor. He said my insurance company had told him to paint them. And of course, I fact checked this. Diana Dillion, my State Farm Adjuster, said she had not said this. She said it actually cost the insurance company more to paint the new panels. Jonathon should have informed me about the "paint issue". I told him in the beginning, I wanted new panels and I didn't want anything "painted over". Since the panels were plastic, I had heard that the paint would not seal properly on a smart car. To this day I don't even know if the panels were new or not. Jonathon would intermittently call me and ask me where the checks were. I repeatedly told him that State Farm was paying them directly. But he just kept asking the same thing over and over again. When I got the Smart Car back 3 months later, I noticed the hood was on incorrectly. Jonathon said he had tried 5 times to get it back on. My friend showed him how to do it. The problem doesn't lie within the fact that he didn't know how to do it, but in the question of why it was even like that in the first place when he brought it out to me to pick it up. Why didn't he ask the body shop guys how to do it if he knew he couldn't do it properly? He didn't even mention it was placed on incorrectly. I did. Was he planning on just leaving it like that if I didn't mention it? That also worries me because maybe the body shop guys didn't even know how to do it. That may explain all the putty they used on my car. I think the panels were not placed back like "legos" as they should have been, but placed back more with putty, "might", and abrasive tools. There are so many scratches on the car that weren't there before in places on the pocket panels where it appears that "might" and a tool was used on it, like it had been pried to either get it off or on. And in those areas, the door panels are placed differently in that the pocket panels aren't flushed the same on the two different sides of the vehicle. The left door pocket panel darts out with multiple scratches on it, while the right pocket door panel is more flushed. Both pocket panels have so many scratches on it that weren't there before the accident. Moreover, the right door bottom section appears to have been pried (the plastic is corrugated and not smooth as it should be), and it has a gap separating it from the pocket panel and door. This part is also quite loose. Also, the new paint is peeling in one area already. When I got my car back, the running lights weren't working. Yet, they were working when I brought in the car. Jonathon swore that it was perfect though. However, he hadn't replaced the passion sticker that had fallen off in the accident. The antennae assembly was still broken. The bumper panel had not been replaced as well. He had merely sanded it down and left it just like that. Most repairs done on my car just made matters worse. Honesty and being upfront would have been much appreciated. Jonathon is a very deceptive and grossly unprofessional man. Jonathon called my friend (instead of me, the owner of the vehicle) and told him that I had complained about him to Kenny, a supervisor. Mike (my friend) told me that he went on and on about how I was way too upset about the "paint issue". He said it made him look bad. Jonathon should not be speaking poorly of me to anyone in my circle. Who does that in business? The owner, Michael Iannuccilli, told me that he was 200% behind Jonathon. He told me to respect the fact that he was on vacation and not to contact him. He blew me off and the warranty is apparently no good. Fletcher Jones said Jonathon had ordered the panels in the wrong color. That makes Exoticar unscrupulous, and Jonathon a liar. read more

I trust no one else with my cars. An a-hole rear ended me one morning about three weeks ago at 7am. I'm not happy. 14K miles on my car and spotless, well not anymore!!! Minor damage, I'm talking a few scratches to the naked eye. But hello, it's not a cheap car and the damage he caused added up to over $1200! Well to make a long story short I have to get several estimates as normal but of course I know I'm only letting it get fixed here at ExotiCars. The other places I went were a total joke. Victor took care of me. He is a very nice guy. Excellent professional service. I had a check already from the a-hole guys insurance. Insurance adjuster agent forgot an OEM factory upgrade part off the estimate...but Victor worked with the claims adjuster and the adjuster sent him the $$$ difference directly! Hassle free! The two ladies at the front desk are super sweet. When I call to ask Victor a question I was promptly transferred back to his desk office phone. Very nice service also when closing out the "transaction" today. My car looks brand new just like it was before. When I picked up my car today it was spotless clean inside and out. No issues. Don't settle for some pain in the ass run around...when taking your car for unfortunate repairs. Lord knows it's enough stress to deal with in the first place!!!!! read more

Just picked up my RX. These guys repaired a spot on the door where someone damaged it. The paint work work and body work looked great! I would have gave then 5 stars but there was no effort on there part to communicate when my car would be finished. I had to call a few times during the 2 weeks it was in the shop bc of no communication on timelines. I found out through my insurance that there was additional work that needed to be done. I guess they don't consider every day that you dont have your vehicle it cost time money for a rental. I believe my car was actually ready last Friday but alas no call. I just called this morning to check on it and at first they told me the adjuster and manager was not in the building. Then adjust calls back in 2 minutes and says it's ready. I picked up my car this afternoon after some bodywork got done on it and just wow! It looks like I just got my car out of the dealer! The work is immaculate!!! If it hadn't been for the fact that I took the car to shop myself, I would have never known there was anything wrong with it. When I dropped off my car there was glitter all over the passenger side and when I picked up there was not a single trace of it anywhere. They had my car for over 2 months and spent $19,000 in car repairs. They did a TERRIBLE job. My hood does not run flush with the car and paint is also chipped. They said that all hoods on porsche macan does not run flush with the car. They all have gaps and stick out. And thats normal. I rather taken my car to maaco. I researched who could best repair my new 2017 Porsche Macan from a construction truck dropping heavy objects on the 215 beltway which damaged my right front bumper. Couldn't avoid the collision due to adjacent cars on both sides of me at the time. Have to admit at first I avoided Exoticar Paint Works due to some bad Yelp reviews. Then asked Porsche and other high end car dealers who they recommend to repair my SUV and they unanimously said Exoticar. I called expecting the worst and the experience was just the opposite. From the receptionist to David, I received professional service and progress updates. Not once did I have an unpleasant experience communicating with them. When I picked up my car about 17 days later (insurance dragged their feet) I couldn't tell there had been any damage.
