Super dissatisfied. I asked for a dip nexgen manicure and a gel pedicure. I picked out a DND color that was exactly what I wanted knowing that DND makes dip powder and gel polish that match exactly. My pedicure was great but my nail tech decided she was going to do acrylic on me instead of dip which was not what I wanted and the color does not match at all. Towards the end I asked if she could paint over it with the gel color that matched my toes before she applied the top coat. She said it would be too thick and she couldn't do it, she finished and I was still dissatisfied and asked again and said I wanted the color that I picked out and simply wanted her to put a coat or two of gel. She said I should've asked before and that she'd have to restart all over again. I didn't have the time to get it redone and was super frustrated and felt like she wasn't listening to me. She was nice but I am just upset because I am a college student who sees getting their nails done as a luxury and am sad that I paid for something that was not what I wanted. the manager is rude and prejudice towards blk people. Turns down service and gets mad and employees if they offer service to certain blk people he doesn't want in his place of business. They never sanitize their clippers or foot tubs between clients it's disgusting. Plus, they use dirt cheap $1 products but charge client10 times that price. LADY messed up my eyebrows so badly and another lady came and messed it up even more!!! all they did was talk in another language not compromising or trying to talk to me the customer at all!! I normally don't leave reviews, but my experience at this nail salon was extremely disappointing. The man who did my nails did a good job on the actual nails, but his attitude was unacceptable. He was rude, dismissive, and didn't listen to the specific instructions I gave. Professionalism and customer service matter just as much as the final result, and he lacked both. On top of that, the woman wearing the True Religion jacket completely messed up my eyebrows. I clearly stated that I wanted them thin and arched -- simple instructions. Yes, eyebrows are sisters and not twins, but what she did was nowhere near acceptable. They are uneven, poorly shaped, and nothing like what I asked for. For the amount of money and trust you put into a beauty service, the experience should not feel rushed, ignored, or careless. I'm going to preface this review by saying that I typically do my own nails, but I ran out of product & am about to go on vacation, so I needed them done asap & my friend recommended this place as it's her go-to shop. For a full set with only acrylic, it was $60, which in the going market really isn't terrible. My tech took her time ensuring I got the color & shape I wanted, and was very gentle with my hands. I only had to wait about 10 minutes as a walk-in, which was nice. My only major gripe is that the tip of the nails were all slanted, but I fixed that by quickly re-filing them once I got home. The owner has the WORST behavior OF ALL! He is so NASTY in the comments. Extremely racist and rude. Someone walked in after me, but was serviced first. The lady was acting very annoyed doing my toe's, because she had to come off her cigarette smoke break. She STUNK of tobacco. The employees smoke cigarettes outside with the door open, so you get to inhale their toxic fumes. She grabbed my foot at one point. My pedicure was extremely rushed. My foot massage was 30 seconds. Regardless of the poor service, my boyfriend tipped $4 that they didn't deserve & the lady who did my nails LAUGHED! I've gone here twice out of desperation, but this last time was the final straw. Take your money elsewhere. All they do is talk mess about their customers. They just want the money, they don't care about providing good customer service. The establishment is ghetto and unkept. I love this place! Unlike a lot of nail shops in town there isn't a room full of ghetto and/or Asian people shouting out you. This is really a great stop for that peaceful, relaxing, pamper yourself day. This truly is "Professional Nail Care." I normally go for pedicures and an eyebrow wax and it's perfect every time. The tech here really take time with your feet. By the time you are done, you just feel like you should be walking on a bear skin rug. I was getting the acrylic nails I had on taken off and a full set put on. When taking off the acrylic he was very forceful which hurt a lot. But that truly wasn't that big of a deal for me. I first hit a nerve when he asked if I wanted to cut my real nails down and I didn't really want to that much and he kept asking why. THEN clearly I did it for him when he asked me which color I wanted and I stated nude please. He started asking what shade of nude would I prefer, light medium or dark and I suggested it may be easier if I took a look at the colors they had and picked. He was not happy with that answer, stopped what he was doing and asked a co worker to finish me when they were done with their client. LMAO I walked out and and just laughed. *UPDATE* My "GEL" nail polish started chipping in the corners two days after getting them done. So I decided after what I been through it wasn't okay. My friend accompanied me because I was nervous to even have to deal with the same people again. So I sat down and my friend sat down beside me who was removing her nails. Another girl came in and she was getting a fill..... guess who was sat down last ? Because the guy with spiky hair didn't want to deal with me. He looked nowhere near me. I was then helped by another guy who seemed nicer and in a better mood to help me. He asked me if I remembered the color I used Friday . To which I politely said no since I seriously had no idea. Then I hear a voice form the guy with spiky hair "OPI" he kept saying it was OPI which sounded right. The guy gets a color From the OPI brand and matches it onto my nail. We finish and I'm sitting there looking at the color in the sunlight and it's NOT the same one. I asked my friend and she's like" yeah not at all" .... my heart dropped and I proceeded to go up with my friend to the paying station and I asked the nice girl if they looked the same which she then proceeded to say nothing but turned to the guy who did my nails and then it was a mess trying to find the right color. Right next to us was the spiky hair guy to which he proceeds to say " why didn't you tell him right then?" And I looked at him like .....excuse me? To then him say " do you understand me?" I looked at my friend who was shocked at how he was talking to me. Responded politely with an "I'm sorry I didn't realize until now". They all looked at me funny and then I realized I was over this location and my nails looked funky so I just wanted to go home. Even it being my friends first time at this location right when we walked out she was like " Never Again" and I was almost to the point of tears. Establishments should never be allowed to make customers feel completely uncomfortable and disrespected. I was incredibly understanding and someone else would have gone off 100%. I will NEVER be back. *OLD* I honestly don't really know where to begin. I went in for a fill after getting my nails done in Tampa. I was very scared to try a new place out just like any regular person would have been. My friend suggested that this place was one of the better ones in Tallahassee so I was a bit more confident but still anxious. It was pretty busy when we went on a Friday around 2 ish so I didn't mind waiting a little bit. But then people kept coming in and to everyone they would say "wait a few minutes" which turned into 15-20 minutes. I finally was told to come up for my turn and I had to quickly pick a color out from the "gel" section. The guy with spiky hair started working on my nails. We got to the point where my nails had been semi-finished but only ONE of them had been filled down ect. (no color was on at this point). Out of nowhere he says " I'll be back" which I then watch him sit down and complete a PEDICURE!. I was left there to watch him work on someone's feet. I started to get a bit annoyed so I started to watch my clock and 20 minutes went by. He then came back to me and did a sarcastic "sorry" and chuckled. I worked in customer service and I was completely blown away by the disrespect. He turned around and started talking to his co-workers who then proceed to smile a bit while looking at me. I wanted this experience to end. After speaking with three other people about this situation I didn't tip him. I didn't feel inclined on tipping, I got a "gel" polish that wasn't even the right color but I didn't even want to continue with the stress and anxiety I felt at the moment. I'm by far a bad person and I was treated with no respect at all. Most places get annoyed by younger/ college kids but my money is worth the same as anyone else's. I've been here a handful of times. Most of my visits have been acceptable, but my most recent wasn't. The quality of the nail polish was terrible. Most of the polishes they have are half full. They charge extra for little things, I feel are ridiculous, removing your polish, cutting down your nails. I loved the guy that did my nails I walked in he was very nice. The lady that was next to him kept interrupting him and me when I was trying to tell him what I want. She kept asking "do you want nude or pink" "you want ombré" I was trying to explain to the guy what I wanted (which was exact to the hand manakin in the front of the store....it was obviously pink ombré...I just felt that she was rude and frustrated. She kept stopping him and looking at my nails like she didn't trust him. He did really good. Also whoever does eyebrows she completely messed mine up! She took wayyyy too much off the front. I learned from my sister (a certified eyebrow waxing employee) that you should always start off from under the brow and always ask the customer if they would like the middle of the eyebrows waxed! This is my usual nail shop, but today it will be my last time patronizing the establishment. I came in for mani/pedi and to say the least it was the worst I have ever received. After seeing how poorly my feet nails had been filed, there was no way she was going near my hands. When I paid, the guy running the place acknowledged that my pedicure was botched and kept apologizing - yet charged full price. The nails are okay... however a child accidentally dropped nail polish on the floor and not a single worked helped clean it. There was glass on the floor and no one sweeper or offered to help the mother. Walking out of the store in the little flip flops they give you became dangerous and a hazard. Last time I came the main guy was extremely rude and yelled at me for not knowing what a shape of nail was called even though I showed him pictures. Another worked had to calm him down because he was so rude for absolutely no reason. Their work is okay but not worth the treatment you receive. I definitely do not recommend coming here. read more
