This is a great place for walk ins if you need something quick and easy. I walked in and was seated right away. I requested a dip removal and gel polish. I originally go to another place for higher end nails with great designs. The nail tech saw this and instantly asked where I go (in which I don't tell) and then proceeded to talk about how bad they were done and how they did my nails (also in which she was wrong but I ignored her). Since I didn't tell her where I usually go she kept asking and I just told her the city. And she continued to say how bad they did. She was able to remove my dip and add gel nail polish like I requested and it has lasted over a week so far! I am so rough on my nails so I didn't think it would last but two days like it normally does. A nail fill. I went into this place if business after seeing someone else's nails. After sitting with a man, he asked what I wanted, I replied, fill with regular clear polish. He said, It was $35. The salon does not use regular at all. They use regular polish for display purposes only. Therefore, I would pay $35 with mi polish unless, I wanted gel. The man said, he has an appointment and began playing on his phone. He asked 2 other people, Marly decided to do the full. She and the other lady were playing on the phone. I asked, do they wash hands. I'm a diabetic. I have very sensitive hands I also do work that causes my hands to get cut. She said, no. if, I wanted to wash them! Marley asked , ask someone how much it would be for a fill with our polish . To My surprise, and Asian woman came over and stated $45. Marley said no without polish she told me $38. I asked why she said because my nails grow fast in Avery rude tone. This woman never did my nails before. she doesn't know how my nails grow. covid May not be popular but it's still exist. people go to a salon with many health issues and sanitation is important! diabetes, heart patients, etc... I went here about a month ago to get my nails done. They were okay. They were rather expensive for a full set. I would say they were not worth the 60+ I paid for them. I wanted to like this place so bad. I called ahead to see if they had time for a fill and a pedicure and was told yes. I drove down and was told yes again. The woman who did my nails was in such a hurry that my thumb nail is uneven (one side of my nail on my thumb is different than the other) and all the polish on my left hand is bumpy. When I brought up the pedicure she was frustrated even though I had been told it was fine. She ended up handing me off to someone else because she had an appointment waiting. My toes turned out okay and the guy was super nice. I think my nails turned out poorly because she was in a hurry to get to another person that they were barely shaped and didn't even get to fully dry. Really a bummer. Came here twice the first time I got a pedicure and the two female techs were complaining the whole time and over charged for the services. The tech ran the water and then said she had to eat didn't turn in the spa so the jets were off and after she ate she came back and started my pedi. I tipped because she seemed needy. Second time I asked for a different tech because I was referred to him just to have some young Asian guy tell me the tech had been fired. How unprofessional I started to leave but it was close to the holiday and other places where closing and I had a flight to catch. The older Asian guy that did my nails didn't do what I asked for he said he didn't know how all I wanted was a French mani but use black on the tips instead of white. There was acrylic on my cuticles. The nails chipped within a week and I'm a gentle person so the polish has to be trash especially if it's supposed to be gel. They call themselves exotic nails must be referring the the workers cuz the nails are basic af. That was my last time coming there. read more

I never go get my nails done but my mother-in-law goes every couple of weeks and she loves this place. Everyone here is very friendly. One person did my mani and another did the pedi. Went here as a walk in. They told me to put my name on a list and pick out a color. There were color swatches, but after looking, no colors matched the swatches! That was ridiculous. Only a 10 minute wait, which was fine. The lady gets started, and everything looks fine. Everything looks sanitary, but the metal tools are in this metal tin that looks a little gross. I was not pleased with that. The lady that did my toes was distracted by the TV next to us a few times, and that's not a good look. When she starts painting my nails, she forgot a base coat! The employees were lovely but my basic pedicure was not good. The polish lasted one week, which has never happened to me before with other pedicures. I don't even walk around barefoot. I asked the young woman to cut my toenails short but she cut so short that it was painful and two toes bled. Side note: this area seems expensive for pedicures. After 24 hours of getting my nails done it began chipping. Instead of making an issue of it I filed my nails to below the chip so it looked presentable; however, after continued chipping I called the salon today to ask the policy. I was informed that because of the timeframe I could return and have my nails redone at NO CHARGE. The tech that assisted me could not duplicate the same design and because my nails were so narrow recommended I select a neutral nail color. She also suggested at my next appointment I should get a full set as the tips are too narrow. At which time I informed her the previous tech filed my nails to that shape which I also thought was too narrow but it was too late. Upon leaving I was told I was to pay for the service as it's considered a color change. I shared what I was told over the phone and was still told I need to pay for the service because I changed the color. Nevermind, my nails chipped after 24 hrs of service, nevermind I now need to get a full set because the tech filed my nails too narrow, nevermind my inconvenience. This has been the MOST DISAPPOINTING experience in the 25 years of getting my nails done. I will NEVER return an Exotic Nail salon again. read more

Very disappointed , based on other reviews here. I had an appointment scheduled, arrived 10 mins early, not seen until 30 mins after my appointment time. The manicurist took her "tools" out of her drawers, no sign that the had been sterilized before using. I had to ask her to do it before using. Glad I did as i was bleeding after cuticle trim. I've been to shops in San Diego, CA & Santa Barbara, CA but this place by far was the best experience I had. The nail techs were sweet and had big personalities. The shop was clean and sanitized. They had a ton of colors to choose from which was one of my favorite parts about it. I would definitely recommend the full pedi/foot massage experience with the scrub and everything. I've been to Exotic nails twice. I was not impressed the first time. However, all I wanted the second time was to get my nails and toes painted, so I figured I'd give them another shot. I waited about 20 min when a woman came up to me and told me which colors to look at because the ones I had originally picked out were gel only. After waiting about another 15 min, they took me to a station and then told me that I couldn't just get my nails painted. My only option was gel. She said I'd have to get gel on my nails and toes for $50. I turned around and walked out. This is a nail salon. If I brought my young daughter to get her nails painted would they not be able to just paint her nails? I don't think so. Trying to bully me into spending more money is not the way to gain my business. You've lost a customer. read more

This was my first time here and I'll definitely be back. The salon is clean and comfortable. I stopped around 6 pm and they close at 7 pm. They were surprisingly busy for that time of night on a Monday. I almost left but decided to stay. I ended up in Nancy's chair approximately 6:40. I was worried she would hurry thru and I'd be disappointed with the results. But she took her time and did a great job, and I was out by 7:15. Brought my daughter here to get acrylics with me and the end cost was $80! I came back after two weeks to get a fill, NO POLISH and it costed $23 and some change for just my fill! Less than a week later the tip of the nail came off! While the woman was doing my fill she was too busy staring at what else was going on and I felt the burn of the drill. Also they try their hardest to get you to buy the gel polish. So pushy, too expensive and not very professional (the oldest looking nail tech) I won't be returning. While the techs were friendly and nice I definitely won't be going back. The pedi was decent but my nails are horrific! In less than a week you could see 1/4 inch of nail and the gel is starting to separate from the sides. I'm easy on my hands so this shouldn't be happening. Of course I questioned it and the nail tech said I told her I wanted a deluxe pedicure. She did not ask and I would have NEVER agreed. I'm from out of town so I was looking from somewhere to get my nails done they do SNS so I went with it. I got there and had to wait for about an hour to get my nails done. I was told to sit at an empty booth to soak my nails, I sat there for 30 minutes before I even got them soaked. The lady realized she forgot about me, I waited another 30 minutes to be seen. Keep in mind it's July 4th weekend...why is the shop understaffed? Anyway they had my nails soaked so long that the polish residue was all over my hands. I was told twice by two people that my nail price would be $45 due to the length. When I finally got my nails started I had them cut down but for some reason my total came up to $58, I also had a polish change on my toes. So that means that the polish change came up to about $13-$18! My toes are starting to chip! Normally I can keep polish on my toes for at least a month! On top of that once my toes were painted I was instructed to go sit in front of a Heater to dry my toes, instead of the professional dryer...so the presentation of my toe polish looks a mess; it looks melted! No lie by polish coating started to lift later that day. It hasn't been a full week and nail #2 is starting to lift as well, my nails were done last Saturday!!! So I left the nail salon with a hand full of white residue from the polish and over priced services. I'm saying all of this to say that I will not be returning back to Exotic Nails when I come back to Ohio. I think it's terrible that I have to now go get my nails done over again after I got them done late weekend. The only good thing I have to say about my experience is that the woman that did my nails was very inviting, other than that ISSA NO! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone honestly. read more

I scheduled an appointment to have my nails done. I got there a few minutes before. From the back of the building, i was told to grab a color and sit down. I waited for 20 minutes with no other contact from any employee. I understand if you are behind or short staffed, but all you need to do is tell me. Maybe apologize and that you will be with me soon. That little acknowledgment goes a long way. I made an appointment for a reason, now I was already behind schedule. I sat for a little while longer and left. No one said anything on my way out. They were clearly in a rush, a party was arriving soon after the tech started my nails and she didn't seem to put any effort whatsoever into my nails. One of my nails is completely crooked, one cracked in half and she simply painted over it, the paint job was awful (bubbles and smudges), and I bled several times, as did my Friend getting acrylic nails as well. I was very pleased the first time I got my nails done here. The second time I got a fill , with gel acrylic. A couple days later one of them fell off. For acrylic nails that's never happened to me.
