I went to this auto repair shop for a vehicle inspection, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The manager/owner was rude and disrespectful. While I was waiting, I noticed the employees standing around talking and the owner even came out to ride an electric skateboard in the front of the shop, so I politely asked if the technician had finished the oil change on the car ahead of me. Instead of answering my question professionally, the manager/owner told me I could "stay or go." I found his response dismissive and unprofessional. As a customer, I was simply trying to understand how much longer the wait would be. A little courtesy and communication go a long way, but I didn't receive either during my visit. Based on this experience, I would not return and cannot recommend this shop. I went to Central Valley Auto Repair which is three blocks down on 234 N. Central Ave. Better service. Nick's Auto was a reputable shop for many years under the original owner, John. After John sold the business and retired, the professionalism and customer service that made this shop well respected is gone. BEWARE!!

Much to my surprise when I got there I saw they had a auto collision portion of the shop, as well as offering a free hand wash upon Yelp Check In. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who had me complete paperwork for the service and one of the mechanic's took me right away. They conducted the inspection of air pressure etc confirming that I definitely need new tires and I was done in about 15 minutes tops. Fastest oil change of my life. Usually I'm sitting for hours at the dealership just to get the free deal but I was in a hurry and didn't want to put it off any longer. The mechanics were kind and explained everything and even offered free Self Serve water and coffee at their mini bar. I got the feel of visiting the dealership without having to sit for hours.

One of the mechanics there short little tough guy Juan who acted like he wanted to fight after being confronted recommended a different size tire on my AWD suv because they did not have my right size in stock. Well guess what because the tire was a different size it ruined my rear differential. The owner refused to hold his business liable for what an employee did. They are the experts and should have never recommended a different size tire for a vehicle with all wheel drive just like the owner said he wouldn't recommend himself. I asked for just half the cost of replacing my differential and they couldn't even do that. Avoid them!!!!!

We purchased a 2015 Audi Q5 with only 57,000 miles from Kurt. He most recently replaced the Driveshaft and assured us that the vehicle was mechanically sound. On the first drive, the car left us stranded on the side of the road, indicating a transmission malfunction fault. I called Kurt, but he was not interested in helping, he also mentioned that he does not warranty his work. So I took the vehicle to a reputable shop that lifted the vehicle to check it out. To my surprise, the Driveshaft was damaged due to improper installation, and, it was found to be a low quality Chinese driveshaft that cost 1/10th the price of the original. Just about any mechanic that you will meet will warranty their work, and own their mistakes (which is ok, we are only human) but not Kurt. Instead, I am left with a hefty bill and a vehicle that my mother is afraid to even drive now. This review is so that you, as a potential customer, are aware of the person that you are looking forward to doing business with. I would highly recommend using mechanics that will warranty their work, because mistakes do happen.

Due to my fast paced work schedule, there's been times where I needed an inspection 5 minutes before closing and Lenny has taken it or told me to come in the morning. From oil changes to sensors to exhaust work, they do a great job for fair prices. These mechanics have no time to lie to you or take you for your money. They want the job done right,or they won't do it at all. There's been times where in the process of working on my car, they've found something that could've caused a major accident.Instead of them not telling me,Lenny would call me and always explain the situation in laymen terms so I wasn't confused or surprised by the price if he did fix the problem. When my truck wouldn't pass inspection, they did a diagnosis and told me it was because it was a high mileage engine and worn down internally.I went to another shop for a second opinion, and the other shop charged me $250 to tell me the same thing Lenny told me for $50 dollars! Also there's been times where I didn't pass inspection and they didn't charge me just because they knew my car needed to complete a drive cycle.I personally like to buy the part then pay them for the labor, but I've learned the hard way to just let them buy the parts because they never get it wrong. And they even give a year warranty on their work. These guys are fair and are my go-to auto shop.Take it from me,there's a lot of lazy thieves in the mechanic industry, but this place restored my faith in auto repair.
