The location isn't hard to find, but remember you're looking for a house, not a traditional hotel. Check-in was a breeze and from the moment you enter the suite, you are plunged into what I can only describe as a romantic escape room. I don't want to give away too many things, because half of the fun is discovering all that your suite has to offer. However, I will say that you will not be disappointed if you love mysteries and grew up on choose your own adventure books and Scooby Doo. In addition to all of the fun things, the room has to offer, details have been meticulously, thought of, from plush robes to snacks. You never really have to leave the room if you don't want to. We did decide to take a break about halfway through to enjoy a restaurant in the area, which was another bit of nostalgia, because I had not seen a Ponderosa buffet since I was a kid. Two things to note to make your stay better. First, take advantage of the full-time you have the room. This is one place that you want to arrive as soon as check-in is available at 5PM and check out at the very last minute 11AM so you can really enjoy everything. Next, even if you are really moving quickly the experience takes 3 to 4 hours, so be prepared for that. You can definitely move at your own pace, but just know there's a lot to uncover. Overall, this place is a gem. I would absolutely return and try a different adventure, but honestly Treasure Island was so much fun I would do it again.

There was music playing and it was uniquely decorated, like we were stepping into a whole different world. The clues were more difficult than we expected which was great! Behind each hidden door is a new experience. This is better than any escape room you've ever done. While the house is shared with other couples each suite is completely private. When entering our room it felt like we were the only ones in the whole place. The only reason we knew other people were there is because we saw cars out front and could hear people talking from the shared staircase. Book a room. You will not be disappointed.

Registration is a bit of a process. You first have to create a profile through the Lorain County Metro Parks system, then return to the Splash Zone site to register for a specific program on a designated day and time. Once registered, the system shows your cost--mine initially showed $0. I arrived about 30 minutes early on the morning of my class, which turned out to be helpful because I had to re-register in person. After completing that, I was told there would normally be a $3 fee due to my SilverSneakers account. However, the woman at the front desk kindly let me attend for free that day, explaining that future visits would be $3. Since I'd never been there before, I had to navigate through several locker and pool areas. There are multiple pools separated by glass dividers with automatic doors--someone shared a helpful tip that the small black box above the door shows which side to stand on to trigger it. The instructor came in without much of an introduction, set up a small carry-on-size speaker, put on her headset, and began the class. The workout was aqua Tabata (a Japanese-style interval workout): 20 seconds of fast-paced movement followed by 10 seconds of rest. The class lasted 45 minutes. I stayed for about 30 minutes, choosing to leave early since shower space is limited and I like to be considerate of others. The workout itself was excellent, and being in the water felt really good. The showers, however, were not great--hair on the floor and a general "public park" feel, even at 10:30 a.m. I was glad I wore water shoes. On the plus side, the water temperature and the very hot shower afterward were appreciated. The instructor mentioned that this is her business and encouraged people to connect on Facebook (with a profile photo), and it's clear she's very talented. Overall, despite a few logistical and cleanliness issues, I'd go back again--and next time, I'd happily pay the $3 when I'm in town.

Then the lifeguard switched a bunch of times. She was able to go on the side all those times. And she was tall enough all those times also. And then there lifeguard who didn't let her and said she was too short. I let him know that she was a really strong swimmer and that she could touch the bottom of the pool. There was this one kid who was in line in front of her and he let her go was the same height as my daughter. And then the lifeguard Lucas said my daughter was too short. Even if she was the same as other girl that went in front of her. Her hair was what was making her taller. And he said the hair on her head counts. So I put my daughter's hair up in a bun and he said well that doesn't . She cannot go on the slide. That is what got on my nerves. We will not be going back to splash zone again if it has anything to do with that lifeguard.

I went for aqua aerobics. These signs were on the wall for motivation.

How hard is it to hit reply to my email and answer my question "is there a $6.95 fee for every paper check Candlewood lake receives"? So 5 stars for the lake, 2 stars for the office averages to3.5 stars minus .5 stars for aggravation!

What a great experience! I can't believe I'm the first to leave a review. We were able to get in last minute on a Saturday night with a party of 8. The booking agent, who I think is also the owner, was so helpful in getting everything arranged for us. Parking is ample, pricing is fair (we used a Groupon deal), and it exceeded our expectations on the fun scale. A great family night and would absolutely do it again. read more

Only the first escape room is available at the moment. Fair warning challenging but a lot of fun. And there's an extra little secret that if you want to find out about it you have to try it out. In my group we only had 4 people. And we only had one puzzle left to solve. I recommend you go with 4-8 people because you only have 1 hour to escape the room. read more

My cousin called just before we were planning to make the trip to confirm they'd be open and to inform them about the passes. The man on the other end of the phone stated that since they didn't have an expiration date on them they were not longer any good. He was asked how that could be considering the passes were auctioned off at a charitable event in which a great deal of money was paid for them. He stated that was too bad but you can't use them. Just think about the arrogance and deceitfulness of this company. We recommend not spending any money with this park or EVER buying a gift card from them because they do not honor their word and there's a very good chance they'll just pocket the money and refuse service down the road based on a made-up policy. We certainly will never go there in the future.

When we arrived there was a very friendly atmosphere and many cute animals playing in the yard to watch while you waited. We then signed in and they gave us a quick walkthrough and we were on our way. The ride was about an hour and a half throughout their beautiful property. There was one other party with us, and through the whole ride the hosts were talking to us making you feel very at home.
