Our group had about 75 minutes of time in the "Prime Time" room which was ample time to play takes on Family Feud, the Match Game, and more physically interactive games like bean bag toss, spoon flipping and flip cup. Maximum fun in a great atmosphere, and the staff's energy and on stage personas really envelop you in the game shows experience. There were two different rooms that the groups were divided into. Two hosts per room. The game shows host clearly gives the rules and directions before each game and then the competition begins. That was not the case with Escape It, which was very professional in terms of service (staff spoke with us on the phone ahead of time to determine which room was best for the girls' age group, and were friendly and helpful when we arrived), and quality of the room, its details and decor, its effects (surprise walls moving, etc). The experience was great from start to finish, and I would recommend it to any group in the future.

We have done many escape rooms and Breakout is one of our favorites! We even have the box set…read morecalled Dispatch that you do at home, not sure if this is an option anymore since we got it in 2018. This company definitely got some things right! The service here has always been exceptional. Breakout along with other companies are moving away from the standard key and combo locks and integrating more "magic" as one of the hosts called it. More moving parts and ones that just open automatically when a puzzle is solved which is much more fun so if you haven't been in a while I'd say this is your cue to book a new room. My favorite room at this location was Do Not Disturb which doesn't exist in Ohio anymore but most recently we did Museum Heist. It was engaging with clues that could be solved by kids and adults. We had a party of five and made it out in time with our youngest player being 13. The clues are fun and challenging and the hints are given on a TV screen when you ask for them. I do prefer the ones where you can just speak to the host but these hints are specific to what you ask, you just may have to walk to the other room to see the TV. That is the only slightly negative thing I have to say because we love this company! If you've never been then this is a good place to start because they all seem passionate about escape rooms and making sure people enjoy it. For anyone who has done multiple escape rooms or plans to, you should check out the Morty app if you don't have it already!

Our room was fun and creative. We escaped and found out who did it at 44 minutes, using one of three clues we could have asked for. We had 6 people which was the max allowed in this room (I think). The items in the room were in good shape and the storyline flowed well. We had a blast and will come back for some of the other rooms!

One thing I will suggest is that I wish the Grid game and the pattern matching games were more colorblind accessible. For example, in level 6, green is VERY close to yellow. Red and orange are also too similar. A person with Deuteranomy cannot distinguish those colors easily. Deuteranomy is the most common form of color blindness, affecting approximately 5% of males and ~0.4% of females. There should be an option to choose "avoid green/yellow" or "color blind accessible"/"Deuteranomaly or Deuteranopia Accessible". It is very nice that there are free lockers to use!

We ended up solving 2/3 of the puzzles and they were quite challenging! I will say it may have been even more enjoyable with less people around. It was a bit crowded and many times we were trying to solve puzzles and children would come between us and the interactive piece. We understand that it's an interactive experience for all so we didn't mind waiting. But it did slow down a bit of our excitement to solve a puzzle. All in all I think the entire experience was exciting and fun. A great place for a date where you can take pictures, see cool rooms, and maybe solve a puzzle or two!
