Our room was fun and creative. We escaped and found out who did it at 44 minutes, using one of three clues we could have asked for. We had 6 people which was the max allowed in this room (I think). The items in the room were in good shape and the storyline flowed well. We had a blast and will come back for some of the other rooms!

So good, in fact, that I kind of thought he was actually drunk instead of just pretending. But, he wasn't. He was very funny, helpful, and definitely added to the experience we had. The adventure itself was challenging, but not too challenging. We got out with 8 minutes to spare and felt that all of the clues made sense and ultimately led to our success. I was surprised by the cleverness of the clues and just how much fun we had overall discovering the clues. I would definitely visit this escape room again despite the slightly creepy location (it's in the basement of a weird office building.)

The music choices were especially fun. We came as a couple and were then together with a group of 6 that seemed to have done this sort of thing several times before and so we took a few minutes to get into a groove with the rest of the team. Once things got going though, we had a really good time. Our team got out with 4 minutes to spare. One note: $25 per person seems a little pricey to me. We found a Groupon and so were able to do a little better than that, so keep your eyes peeled.

Fun experience! You'll get a workout from jumping and running around…read more You first sign up and pay for the specific timing you'd want. You will get a wristband that will track your time and score. You will need to register your band before entering. Note that before you enter, you can put stuff in your lockers. Upon entering the dark room, you'll see lots of people running around. It'll seem overwhelming but luckily there are staff that wander around to help lost and confused people. You will go to a door and you can look at what the game is. The screen will show you how to play it. I wouldn't overcomplicate it - just understand the goal and then go play! You are timed so play! When you decide the game, you will scan your band to join the party and the rest of your group will need to tap in. Then once there is no one playing, the door will unlock to allow you to enter. Then you can start the game with a push of a button when you are ready. There are lots of games so I won't describe them all. However, the important thing is that you need to LISTEN to the computer announcer. It'll tell you when the game is over and then you need to exit the room within a minute since the other team will enter to start their game. It's a very rushed process but you'll get the hang of it. You can check how much time and how much points you have by tapping these other screens. And you can take group pictures too. Restrooms are inside so you don't need to leave the area.

For our family, it felt like almost everything revolved around digital screens, flashing lights, and dark rooms with interactive displays. We found ourselves wishing there were more hands-on, tangible activities that encouraged creativity, problem-solving, or real-world sensory experiences. Personally, it felt less engaging in a meaningful way and more focused on pressing buttons and interacting with screens. While I know everyone has different preferences, our family of five left with headaches and feeling mentally drained rather than inspired. It just wasn't the type of experience we were hoping for.

The service here has always been exceptional. Breakout along with other companies are moving away from the standard key and combo locks and integrating more "magic" as one of the hosts called it. More moving parts and ones that just open automatically when a puzzle is solved which is much more fun so if you haven't been in a while I'd say this is your cue to book a new room. My favorite room at this location was Do Not Disturb which doesn't exist in Ohio anymore but most recently we did Museum Heist. It was engaging with clues that could be solved by kids and adults. We had a party of five and made it out in time with our youngest player being 13. The clues are fun and challenging and the hints are given on a TV screen when you ask for them. I do prefer the ones where you can just speak to the host but these hints are specific to what you ask, you just may have to walk to the other room to see the TV. That is the only slightly negative thing I have to say because we love this company! If you've never been then this is a good place to start because they all seem passionate about escape rooms and making sure people enjoy it. For anyone who has done multiple escape rooms or plans to, you should check out the Morty app if you don't have it already!
