When I first saw this experience on someone's Instagram page, I was instantly intrigued. My husband and I decided to try the Hillsboro location, and were really excited to be some of the first people who experienced the new Treasure Island suite. The location isn't hard to find, but remember you're looking for a house, not a traditional hotel. Check-in was a breeze and from the moment you enter the suite, you are plunged into what I can only describe as a romantic escape room. I don't want to give away too many things, because half of the fun is discovering all that your suite has to offer. However, I will say that you will not be disappointed if you love mysteries and grew up on choose your own adventure books and Scooby Doo. In addition to all of the fun things, the room has to offer, details have been meticulously, thought of, from plush robes to snacks. You never really have to leave the room if you don't want to. We did decide to take a break about halfway through to enjoy a restaurant in the area, which was another bit of nostalgia, because I had not seen a Ponderosa buffet since I was a kid. Two things to note to make your stay better. First, take advantage of the full-time you have the room. This is one place that you want to arrive as soon as check-in is available at 5PM and check out at the very last minute 11AM so you can really enjoy everything. Next, even if you are really moving quickly the experience takes 3 to 4 hours, so be prepared for that. You can definitely move at your own pace, but just know there's a lot to uncover. Amazing experience. We will be back several times to try all of the different rooms. We were quite impressed with the roo. As soon as we walked in. There was music playing and it was uniquely decorated, like we were stepping into a whole different world. The clues were more difficult than we expected which was great! Behind each hidden door is a new experience. This is better than any escape room you've ever done. While the house is shared with other couples each suite is completely private. When entering our room it felt like we were the only ones in the whole place. The only reason we knew other people were there is because we saw cars out front and could hear people talking from the shared staircase. Book a room. You will not be disappointed. read more

The fun starts from the moment your significant other books this adventure. Between the strange questions like, do I fit in an airplane seat? Or do I prefer chocolate or paint? I was scratching my head, all while he made sure to tell me that one of us had to have our phone on us at all times and fully charged. So with hesitation, I packed an overnight bag and we hit the road, allowing me to guess where we were heading over the next three hour drive. I didn't know much and that's what truly makes an adventure/date night like this, so spectacular. We pulled up to a historic house, I knew at least that much when we parked. He told me to make sure I grabbed all my items from the vehicle, because he didn't suspect we would be coming back to the car anytime soon. We were walking up the sidewalk when my boyfriend stopped and said, the other guests are right there in the entryway (inside) and I said what's that mean? Do we have to walk past them? Are they going to look at me crazy because of what I agreed to sign up for? Even though I literally had no idea what was behind those closed doors. Or even what on earth we both awkwardly signed up for. We kind of just stood there as they came out and said hello. The whole time I could only wonder what they just got done doing?! What was I about to be doing? I wanted to ask but didn't..I still was clueless We creaked open the door and was immediately greeted with such unique atmosphere. I was blown away with the rooms and décor. I wondered to myself Where was I? Was I crashing a psychics home? Were we about to meditate all night? The vibe was incredible and like nothing I've ever seen before. Between the flickering lights, crackling fire, mirrors and the bed hanging from the ceiling, I was pumped. We started our adventure, diving right into the first task of finding 4 color coordinated numbers, I was ready, game on! Our whole night was filled with riddles and teamwork and it was truly a blast. There was such beauty in getting able to do an ongoing escape room without the ticking timer in the background. We had all night and got to go at our own pace. We proudly did each and every puzzle, riddle, and task with no hints, just pure success. We had a blast! This was the best date night we have ever shared and we literally can't wait to do the next one! I would definitely recommend this to friends! I mean whom I kidding, I already did! I wasted no time bragging on such a fun night and showing pictures of the different room(s) to friends and family. Yes you read that right, there are multiple rooms you end up in! So pack a light bag, some drinks and your thinking cap for a wild adventure, unlike any other. Lastly I have to give a shout out to the host of the year. We were amply impressed by the fluid communication we had with him and the great lengths he went to ensure our trip was a success. read more

I can't express how amazing this experience was! We went here for our 20 anniversary and stayed in the King Louis room! The puzzles were a blast to solve. The prom room was so fun. Honestly everything about it was perfect! The only thing I would recommend is that the massage table does not have a sheet on it so I would recommend bringing sheets. Twin works just fine. We ran over to Walmart and bought sheets for about $7. This was well worth the price. I am sure we will come back and might try a different room! Also as an aside this room is NOT for those with mobility issues. For those without it is fantastic! The shower is actually a steam room as well! read more
