My family had the most amazing picture perfect peaceful getaway at Indian Bear Lodge. We had the beautiful cabin that fit all of our family, with everything we needed. We loved spending time around the pool table, hot tub, and on the deck enjoying the serene setting. The pond was everything we wanted and more with kayaks, beautiful for swimming and sitting by and enjoying the beautiful water. So thankful it was close to home, yet was the getaway we were looking for. The staff was incredibly helpful and got us wood for fire and were available for all our questions and needs. This was a last minute decision to plan a week or two in advance. I called for two days, but they provided me a deal for 3 days and I accepted the deal. When you drive to the location, it's easy to locate. You drive past the winery, and go to the end of the hill and you will see a sign that says Carriage house 1 & 2. There is two carriage houses that share a pavilion at the bottom of the back yard. The place is beautiful inside. At the top it has a large living room and kitchen area. They have a restroom on the main level, a porch with seats and a grille on the main floor. Upstairs there is a little nook where seating is available, 2 bedrooms and a master bathroom with a jet tub, and shower. The lower level has a bar, yes a bar, and a center section that allows you to huddle, bathroom, and 2 bedrooms. Outside of the area is a lower porch, which has a hot tub. Warning about the hot tub, when you first get in it, it's 120 degrees. Take the top off and let it cool down. It will cool down a lot and feel much better over time. It's nice to relax with the tub. They have a lower section that has a fire pit and seats available. In the back of the house there is trails which has a broken bridge. We went through the stream to get to the other side. I have a bad knee, but made it through fine. :) If you are seeking Internet usage, this is a bad cabin to get access. There is no Internet at the cabin, that's a good or bad thing. In downtime, we are used to having Internet usage. However it's tough when you want it and can't get it. Verizon is the better service, but I had no access. However some mornings I'd wake up with some notifications that went through some how. If you want Internet, go down the drive way and you can obtain a little access, exit the driveway and walk to the top of the hill and I've picked up a great signal there. If you want better access, go out to the Indian Bear Resort over near the lake, but walk towards the winery but stop in the center and the service is perfect there. I've added a image of where that it's good at. My only ask or recommendation to Indian Bear Resort, maybe offer Internet service. It would be nice and helpful, but I understand being off-line can be a request and need as well. Now the lake area is pretty nice as well. Lots to do up there. You can get on kayaks, small boats etc; It allows you to swim and or boat around. This is nice. The only downside is the days that we went had a large group that would "HOG" all of the boats and would leave with a mess. Overall it was a pleasant stay and nice to get away after all of the COVID quarantine. I highly recommend coming here. This is our favorite place to stay. Top of the line, most luxurious, relaxing camping you will ever experience. We just stayed there last week and that was our 4th time and we already want to go back. The trampoline in the middle of the pond is so awesome.. the winery is amazing. The cabins are so clean and have everything you need. The property is maintained and landscaped so beautifully. It makes our family extremely happy to come here. Relax on your quiet back deck, sipping coffee or bubbling away stress in the hot tub. Build a roaring fire with their aged hard wood. Cuddle for a DirecTV flick or in the comfy beds. Grill up some seafood and steaks. It's all clean, quaint, and well organized, waiting for you at a REALLY inexpensive price. The owners are also tremendously friendly, responsive, and helpful. I LOVE it here!! I live locally and enjoy my little getaways. Whether it's a romantic weekend with my man, celebrating my birthday with friends or unplugging with my teens, Indian Bear Lodge is a wonderful experience for everyone. Leave all amenities at home as they've got it covered from cork screws to an abundance of towels. We always hit up the winery for an evening or two; summertime has balmy nights overlooking the vineyard, fields and swimming pond with live music in the evening and winters are cozy by the fire with a gorgeous open beam design. Head back for a dip in the jacuzzi and a glass of wine by the outdoor fire pit before hitting the sack. Cabins are always clean and immaculate; and everything works...the television, toilet roll dispensers and hot water! Nothing has been missed by the owner, whom by the way is a wonderful woman! We had our vow renewal last August at their winery and reserved the main lodge, all 3 cabins, a carriage house and the lake view ranch for our family for the weekend. Everyone was amazed the second they walked into the places and the winery. This is a top notch place in an unassuming location. Sherri did everything she could to make the weekend wonderful and comfortable. Highly recommend this locale, don't let the location discourage you. You have everything you need there including linens, towels, fully stocked kitchens, hot tubs, games, TV's, walking trails, small lake, paddle-boats, grills.... I could go on. However make sure to pick up any food along the way, not too much around for big grocery stores. read more

My husband and I recently hosted our Wedding weekend here at the Main Lodge and Winery. This was the perfect location to allow people from far far away be there for our special day. The lodge is amazing - so big and spacious, can provide everyone with their own privacy yet bring everyone together for the reunion of a lifetime!! So much fun with hot tubs, grills, saloon bars, pool tables and darts!! Beautifully clean and ready for our arrival! Sherri was more than helpful helping me organize everything from afar (as I was located in California) and I cannot wait to be back to Indian Bear Lodge sometime! read more

Sometimes I hesitate leaving reviews for places I love because I selfishly don't want them to be booked up every time I want to book!! But in fairness a job well done needs to be commended ! ! Great place. Stayed at Lake View Lodge over Fourth of July weekend. Very well appointed, clean cabin rental. The property is lovely with a swimming pond, beach, paddle boats, walking trails etc. The cabin was spacious and very inviting with a hot tub, comfy beds, flat screen tv, firepit, and pretty much everything you could want for a relaxing getaway. The owners were very friendly and take the time to do special touches like having kindling in the fire pit and stacked wood ready to go. I can't wait to stay here again! Note: they generously allow everyone the use of the boats, the beach, the toys etc. and simply request that you return things as you found them. Sadly we witnessed abuse of their generosity and hope that this doesn't happen frequently. It would be a shame if they eliminated the extra fun touches because of rude guests!!! read more

This is a hidden gem of a winery. The winery itself has a cozy and inviting lodge feel. Beautiful. The fireplace is amazing. Great wine selections, and every staff member was sooo nice. Inside seating, as well as a great outside venue. Sit up on their balcony. Great views everywhere. What a great property, also, for family getaways. read more

We've been to Indian Bear Winery at least 5-6 times in the past year. Their wine is amazing, their food fresh and delicious, and the staff is always friendly and willing to help without rushing! We had a family reunion at Indian Bear Lodge over Memorial Day week, and our family couldn't have been happier with the experience. The place is beautiful, extremely well kept, and our Main Lodge accommodation was fabulous. The place has 7 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms (including one outside), and sleeps 35 people -- though many of those would be on futon beds or in two rooms that have multiple beds in them. The Lodge was equipped with everything we could possibly need, and the two chefs who were in our group appreciated all the items available in the kitchen (there are actually two kitchens and we made use of the downstairs refrigerator). The kids had a blast at the pond, swimming, canoeing, paddle boating, catching fish -- and running around outside our lodge. There's a beautiful open deck, a covered sun porch (which hosted an endless card game), a very large table for dining, a pool table, a hot tub, a heart-shaped whirlpool bath for two in one of the bedrooms, a sauna -- we couldn't have asked for more. A couple of things, though -- we did have a little trouble with communications -- we had to email back and forth about several things. And I would love to see them improve their website -- the list of amenities in the lodge we stayed at isn't complete, and a more detailed description of what folks can do at the place (better description of pond activities, for example) would help promote this wonderful venue. Oh, and don't go wandering in the woods. Poison ivy. :) We will never forget the time we spent at Indian Bear -- we made great family memories there. read more
