I stayed one night at Waterview Lodge #2. When I woke up in the morning, I found a bug inside the bed sheets. I took a picture, just in case I anything happened to me (I thought it was a tick). Four days later, I woke up with 40 bites on me. The dermatologist diagnosed me with bed bugs. Sure enough, when you Google bed bugs online, the bites appear 4-8 days after contact and look exactly like what I found in my bed. I contacted the manager, who was less than concerned about my experience. First, he dismissed my experience saying that it was one isolated "hitch hiker" bed bug. I pressed him, expressing that his website advertises "5 levels of cleaning". If you truly clean to that high of a standard, a bed bug would not be found INSIDE THE BED! He again dismissed my claim stating that even with 5 levels of clean, a bed bug can hide in the floor boards. He claims he will have the room tested for bed bugs and give me a refund only after a report proves they are there. Please beware, this company believes that it's okay if bed bugs are in the floorboards. They aren't concerned with your experience if bed bugs get into the bed. They will not refund your money. And from my first hand experience, their 5 level cleaning does not exist. Again, I was bit over 40 times after staying one night in their establishment. I wouldn't trust their "reports". Their cleaning failed me and it could fail you too. I would suggest staying elsewhere. The manager never said he would contact the people who stayed there before and after me. I tried to settle this matter with the management, but I now know they are not concerned about the well being of their guests so I want to make sure others know. read more
