We drove back to the lake and walked some of the trails and then down by the water. The water level was really low so we were able to explore areas that are normally covered in water. This looks like a great family park with a swim beach, basketball courts, story book stroll, play areas and campgrounds.

I love the park for its curated gravelled trails through several ravines. It also has a wildlife blind area near a pond great for bird watchers. There is a staffed nature center with educational elements and bird watching areas. The rangers are great with kids, and can address most any question about the park and it's wildlife. It's a wonderfully peaceful park near sunset, with the sun streaming through the trees every view is something to behold.

I would highly recommend Hammerhead Watersports to anyone looking to have a good day out on the…read morewater. The owner and founder, Steve, was super accommodating. Even though they had not officially opened for the year, he went out of his way to make sure we had a kayak to go out with and enjoy the good weather. We called him mid-morning and he met us with a high quality Kayak only a few hours later! His communication was great & they made everything easy - within 15 minutes of arriving at the dock we were out on the water. We love to Kayak, so we have been to a number of different "big-box" corporations in the area, and Hammerhead Watersports has the family-owned feel of a local business that we like supporting. If you are looking for a great price, quality equipment, and to support family-owned local business - look no further!

We had gone to this location a few weeks ago when visiting Columbus. It was a Sunday and busy…read more The store was busy and there were only 2 people working. The lines were a bit crazy and congested. I have a child with special needs, who wasn't doing well as the lines continued to grow. We needed to step to the side to give him some room to breathe. I tried to explain to the girl at the stuffing stating why we were on the other side of the line but she didn't listen and refused to help us when next instead moving to others stating we weren't in line, when we had in fact been in line. We left without purchasing anything and I would never go back to this store. We have had build-a-bear experiences at other stores before with no issues, but this time was very different. Lack of awareness or inability to listen and understand children when you work in a store for children is not acceptable short staffed or not. I would not recommend this location after my experience.

Once you walk past the first set of trees it opens up to a beautiful meadow filled with lots of wildflowers, trees, and wildlife. It was very peaceful and quite back in the meadow. I enjoyed listening to the sounds of the trees and the birds calling. It was nice to get away from the sights and sounds of the city and enjoy nature. My main reason for coming here today was to look for birds, and I found 22 different species. I enjoyed walking around this park and had lots of fun exploring all of the paths. I loved every minute of it and would definitely do it again.
