I purchased a garage door from Jesse from exit doors eight months later the doors came off the track when I called the company to have someone service the doors. Jesse stated that it would be $ 250 to have someone come out and even look at the doors I explained that the doors were under warranty. He stated that coming off the tracks was not a part of the warranty. I question what would cause the doors to come off the tracks other than it not being installed properly or a defect in the doors at that point he got upset because I questioned him and said that it was poor customer service. Jesse came out to handle a home warranty repair of my garage door. he informed me that warranty did not cover the wheels that needed to be replaced on my garage door and I needed those replaced. He charged me $395 to do this. I guess it was my fault for not doing any price checking. It took him 10 minutes and $30 worth of materials to replace the rollers. I have since done some price checking and a normal price for this job would be somewhere between $150 and $200 not to mention I am more than capable of doing the job myself. Had I taken the time to just YouTube it. That is on me I guess but this company is not trustworthy and do not trust them for any price quotes as it will be far above market value. The quality of work I guess is fine because the job he did was not difficult. He was very eager to ask me for a yelp review so here it is I hope someone else can avoid getting scammed by this company. read more

One of my garage door springs broke so I filed a claim with First American Home Warranty who assigned Exit Garage Doors. I called them up the following day to schedule and they were on site promptly the next morning. Jesse and his technician replaced the spring in (at most) 15 mins with no issues. I called them back the following week to replace the other spring (as this one was working, so not covered by the home warranty, but was on its last leg). Same experience - was there the next day, on time, and took care of the job quickly and professionally. I see a lot of bad reviews for Exit Garage Doors related to warranty claims and the work not being covered. If you have First American Home Warranty do not let them send out EXIT company under any circumstance. George, who came out from EXIT told me the that the FAHW would approve only $250 towards a new motor and that after deducting the $250 I would only have to pay the balance of $1140. Very insulting to think I would fall for that BS. Told him to forget it and called AHW back to see what else I could do. I then found from AHW out that now, after I told the EXIT Co. tech George, no, he reported back to FAHW that he determined my problem was "not covered." "Not Covered" after he just told me it was covered for $250 credit on the motor towards a new one. First American Home Warranty was very helpful and send out another technician who reported back to FAHW that in fact it was covered. FAHW tried to send EXIT garage company again to fix my garage opener and before EXIT would come out, I was told it would be at least $195 up to $395 to replace the motor and tune up and adjust the doors under my warranty. I cancelled the appointment with EXIT, and I am now getting it fixed by different company. read more

I was getting home from picking my kids up from school and didn't realize I needed about an inch more of clearance when backing my car into the garage, and I accidentally hit the garage door with my car as it was rolling up. Jesse came out within 2 days of my panicked call to First American home warranty about my garage door opener not working. I have a Ryobi which is not standard on the market. It crapped out when I needed to program more remotes. Jesse was on time, courteous, and responsive when scheduling and communicating eta. Most of all, he not only got it working again and helped to program the remotes. I was worried from all the reviews with bad experiences from their home warranty calls. I myself have had a subpar garage door opener call in the past from Old Republic and with another garage door company, so I could see how that would happen. However, it was a big sigh of relief that it didn't happen to me this time. He did mention tune-up and replacement of the door motors which are not covered by warranty but I could see why, as mine were squeaky and not smooth. Garage door stopped lifting. Called my Warranty Company American Home Shield. Contractor called within the 24 hour window, but was unable to fit me into schedule for 6 days. Fortunately was able to operate Garage Door Manually though at 81 it was not easy. Maybe thats because they based in Riverside and my home is in Indio. Nevertheless they showed up as promised though near end of service window and I was kept apprised by texts from AHS and Exit technician. Technician was amiable and knew his stuff and door was repaired and function restored in a matter of 10 minutes. Was charged standard advance service fee per AHS which is now $100. Technician also suggested some additional service for my 21 year old Garage Door opener, which I am considering and may schedule in the future. Only complaint was the 6 day wait and inconvenience for a repair which was easily accomplished by replacing a covered part in the opener. Perhaps AHS might consider using contractors closer to the homestead. Nevertheless I am quite satisfied with AHS and Exit Garage Door . Kudos to technician Jesse. read more
