They refused to fix just the problem even after indicating it was only a part needing to be replaced. I confirmed they were price gauging me for the work after several calls to competitors so I insisted my warranty company to send someone else out for a second opinion because they were trying to force me into unnecessary costs of $1300 on top of what warranty covers. Fixing my door for $500 when parts are only $30? The second company fixed my issue upon arriving within minutes and all covered by warranty. I don't recommend them, they try to ripe you off, and if you have home warranty definitely stay away from them because they try to deny your claim so they could double charge you, I called them and told them my garage door opener's motor is broken and doesn't work and he comes in and say my cable is out of line and charge me $200 on top of $125 service call.and spray wd40 on motor and say it is working .as soon as he left the motor stop working and i called him back and he said he is not coming back , I said you didn't fix the motor it is half burned and what you did, did not fix my problem. so he said there is another $125 service call , if he comes over. i believe this people are not honest repairman I wish I could file against their contractor license and I am sure there are hundreds of others that got ripped off by them. read more

Awful don't use them. My Home Warranty company American Home Sheild (equally horrible) used them to do some contract work on my garage door. I needed a new spring and it was covered. The inspection was done and the warranty claim was approved. Exit told me they wouldn't do the repairs unless I paid them an additional $350 to replace all rollers on the door. Its been 110 degrees out and I just wanted to get my car in the garage. The garage door seemed to be working fine. One month later I got up early to clean out the garage while it was cool. I opened the other garage door they did not service and the cables and spool on the other garage door got bound up on the one they "fixed". Annoyed I looked up a the door and the winding bar from the door they "fixed" had been pushed into the winding bar on the other garage door causing the cables to fall off. (You can see the marks on the winding bar as they did not put everything back where it originally was.) I wasn't about to call Speed Gonzales Garage Service back out to my house so I pulled out the Sawzall and cut 2 inches off the winding bar of the door they "fixed". I then was able to disconnect the roller and cable of the other door and address it. This was now working properly. Now that this was fixed I started blowing down the garage and a red bolt blew out from somewhere on the floor. I looked up and could see that one of the bolts that holds the spring in place (should be 2 on each spring) was never installed. I started looking at everything at this point and noting was full tightened. One of the rollers for the cable on the right side of the door was not tightened as well. I don't get it. I'm so tired of the crap labor out here in Coachella Valley. This is why I usually choose to do things myself. read more

This company came out to checkout my garage door (through an American Home Shield request) to find out why it was getting stuck. They basically spent two minutes to reprogram the remote and then mentioned that the door looked like it hadn't been serviced at all as the rollers (he said) were about to fall apart. He then said that since he told me this that he would not be able to come back out to fix it, even if I entered in a new request with AHS. He then quoted me $400 for new wheels and installation. I ended up paying him, but then found out that this took him and his coworker 10 minutes to do. I'm very tempted to enter a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, but I will NEVER use them again, even through American Home Shield! And shame on AHS for using them! read more
