Instead of doing the work I asked for, they convinced me to let them replace all the brakes, even though they themselves had done the other side just seven months ago. The pricing was already higher than expected, but what really pushed it over the edge was the added 3% credit card fee. When I questioned it, I was told it was a fee from the credit card company. That is simply not true. It is a fee they chose to pass on. Be honest about it. Customers can handle the truth. We do not appreciate being misled. On top of that, the attitude was dismissive and disrespectful. If you are going to charge premium prices, at least treat people like they matter. My beloved Prius was brutalized in this fashion. Precision Tune Auto Care repaired mine with quick turnaround for just under $2,000 (took a couple days because of a shortage of parts). Other shops and dealerships all quoted well above that. The folks here care and are honest. You can tell that immediately just by talking to them on the phone, especially Rob, the manager. Rob listened intently, offered suggestions and gave me great insight about the insurance process. He walked me through the whole thing and genuinely sympathized. Other places I called were more mercenary, and either unwilling to give me an estimate over the phone, or gave me a wildly inflated estimate. Also, I bought a piece of protective hardware (basically a metal shield called Cat Security by Cap City Muffler) to protect my catalytic converter from future theft. Most other repair shops refused to even consider installing this for me (I'm not sure why), but Precision Tune happily did so, putting my mind at ease. Throughout the process, everyone I spoke with at the shop was great (Bill comes to mind, but there was one other gentleman, in addition to Rob the manager). They all knew the status of my car immediately, and were just decent, reliable people in a really tough time (all this happened during the COVID-19 pandemic, no less). In the end, my car is good as new thanks to this shop. I highly recommend Precision Tune Auto for any of your car repair or maintenance needs. They do top-notch work and are honest and caring.

They always do a good job of explaining things to me, without making me feel like an idiot, and don't try to trick me into unnecessary services. The latest example was when my car wouldn't start in the driveway. I had T&T tow it to their garage and perform a 1.5 days testing it out. They ran several tests and plugged in the computer scanner, without finding any issues. The service tech, George I believe, insisted on keeping it overnight to see if trying to start the car in the morning made a difference. There wasn't anything he could determine and the car started just fine for him (of course) and has been running smoothly for me the past couple of days. He also advised me to hold off on some non-critical repairs I had scheduled for a couple of weeks, to see if this non-starting issue came back. I really appreciate that, because if the starting issue comes back and is serious, I would be disappointed if I had paid for a couple of control arms to be replaced... That's what I appreciate about T&T, they're super honest and have given me good repairs that don't break the bank (no unnecessary fluff). If you live in the south Minneapolis metro area, or Richfield specifically, I highly recommend T&T Automotive for all your vehicle repair and maintenance needs!
