Nothing but positive things to say about Ozzy. He runs a one-man shop and was super reasonable and very knowledgable in his diagnosis. Had 3 other shops say they couldn't do the work. He didn't hesitate. The whole process was seamless and we are VERY happy to add him to the list of best mechanics around the Twin Cities! read more

Don't have work done here if you value your time. I moved around a bunch of morning meetings and had my wife not pick up a shift (stupid - but that alone cost us $500 ‍) so she could follow me there in the morning & bring me back to pick up the car. We were driving from Oakdale by the way. This morning, we drop the car off at 8:30am. I get a call from him at 4:45pm telling me that he never got to the car and to come pick it up. That's a TON of wasted time and lost wages. I get there and all he says to me is, "I have openings starting on Wednesday." I will NEVER go back to The Wonderful Muffler Man (which is hilarious as his personality is the literal opposite of "wonderful"). I guess I'm frustrated with all the wasted time and lack of apology or accountability on their part. I now have an appointment at my local Midas for tomorrow to get my exhaust taken care of for a more reasonable price and they promised me that they'll get it taken care of while I'm there. read more

"Wonderful" is understatement! Excellent work resuscitating the muffler on our 2004 Toyota. Pleasant experience dealing with Ozzie. No surprises or upselling. Very, very pleased. read more

Ozzie or whatever his name is, all fishy business. Guy advertises free estimates but proceeds to charge a fee when you do take your car in. Doesn't say a word until you give him your keys and then charges you to give your keys back. He proceeds to claim that his advertised "free estimate" is when he does a eyeball test of your vehicle, if he actually determines your car needs work then you owe him a "shop fee" whether you agree or not. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! 0 stars if I can. read more

My 2005 Mitsubishi exhaust was torn off in the snow. Tires Plus said the pipe is not made anymore by Mitsubishi. Ozzie put a brand new one on. I highly recommend this place. read more

I would absolutely trust Ozzy with any muffler project, and I go out of my way to recommend his shop to anyone needing muffler repair - which has been quite a few these days given the recent spike in catalytic converter thefts. Book as soon as you decide to go with Ozzy, as his calender always fills up weeks in advance, with the quality of his work being well worth the wait. Ozzy will typically even call for parts availability and quote immediately so you know exactly what you're looking at in terms of time and cost commitment. Ozzy also takes the time to weld on parts, which is not so typical. What difference does that make? If you've ever nearly crashed into one of the four big rigs literally on all sides of you on the freeway because a replacement catalytic converter part fell off and hit the underside of the vehicle and what felt like a tire on the way off in the middle of a vehicle's maiden voyage less than ten minutes after getting on a freeway after catalytic converter repair, you might be inclined to think so. Ask me how I know. The individual who had skimped the $6 part to physically secure that repair part without my knowledge had apparently also hacked away the two neighboring parts in creating an illegal straight-pipe repair job. Ozzy replaced everything, welded the parts into place permanently, and my bill for parts and labor combined was still under $500 for an older Ford utility van that's been running donation distributions around the Twin Cities. Bravo! read more

Ozzie is the best I had a catalytic converter replaced and he was very competitive and timely in his service read more

tried to make a appointment was told i would have to drop off my vechicle on Thursday as he didn't know when they could get to it or what was wrong! every other shop when you have a appointment have you wait, it's a exhaust even if you relace the whole thing it should take about a hour. what do you want me to do take a taxi home and one back just so you can call with a quote on something i can't see! read more

Used to be ''wonderful'', now just wasted my time. 5 or so years ago he did a great job fixing a leak on my car with the exact same exhaust system. Last Friday i took it in for the pre-appointment estimate, he looked it over and said bring it in Tuesday by 9. I set up a ride and got the car there when he said. 2PM i get a call and he says he wont touch it. Baffling. read more

This place of business is far from wonderful. The owner had no interest in assisting me. Gave me a verbal solution to my problem rather than charge me to do the job I came to have done. Never seen a business pass up money. Stay away from this place. read more

Great service! Very reasonable prices! This should be your first stop for an estimate and you won't need to go anywhere else! 5

We originally brought our car into Village Auto on Fairview just North of County road C, and they quoted us about $1200 to get our car back in good working condition. We decided that it was too expensive for us at the moment, and that we'd to hold off for awhile. Fast forward to a week ago, we brought it to Dave's in roseville, mainly due to a recommendation here. After giving us a free inspection, they told me it would be $670 for them to fix it because they would have to replace the catalytic converter and the flex pipe. They told me that I should try the Wonderful Muffler Man on Rice street, as they do repairs on mufflers and can fix it for much cheaper than they could. I thanked them for their help and brought the car to the Wonderful Muffler Man, who quoted and fixed it same day for $175! I have to say that we were extremely happy with the honesty and integrity of both Dave's in Roseville, and The Wonderful Muffler Man on Rice Street, and would highly recommend either one for your auto repairs. I know that I will be a return customer any time we have vehicle problems. Thanks again to all of you for giving us some recommendations! read more

Honest and better than the chain stores! They will only fix what is wrong and give good suggestions on what to fix and do welding on exhaust. Keep this place in mind if you ever have a need for exhaust work! read more

Horrible. Didn't do what we agreed on. Wont fix it or give me money back. Complete joke wouldn't tell anyone to go there.

My exhaust pipe cracked below my truck and was too noisy to drive. I brought my truck In to the wonderful muffler man and received a very fair estimate for repair. The repair was quick and my exhaust sounds normal again. I would recommend the wonderful muffler man for exhaust work to anyone else with issues! read more

Don't recommend. Horrible experience. The guy doesn't explain what he's going to do. He did a completely different exhaust then agreed upon. Wont fix it either. read more

The Wonderful Muffler Man is amazing. He fixed my catalytic converter on my exhaust in minutes. Very kind, technical expert unmatched in MN and I have been everywhere in MN and less than 40 dollars if U can believe that, I was amazed and very thankful:) read more

Need a whole new exhaust system? Maybe not! Perhaps you just need part of it replaced. Before you take your noisy car anywhere else, be sure to check these guys first. They will only replace what needs replacing and not try to sell you repairs you don't need. They are very reasonably priced too. They have been at this location a long time and know what they're doing. Their speciality is custom exhaust systems, but they can repair exhausts on all years, makes and models. They get 5 stars from me and will be my go-to shop for all future exhaust repair needs. read more

I don't usually write reviews unless my experience is incredibly good or incredibly bad. I can't say enough good things about this shop. They did a great job fixing the exhaust issue with my car and at a price far less than what the dealership projected it would cost. Great service and fixed within an hour. There's a reason they won an Angie's List award. I will definitely come back here again! read more

First of all, allow me to start off by saying I rarely yelp. However, the guy that runs this shop is the Best!!!!! He's fair, extremely reasonable, etc. I thought I needed a new muffler, turn out I just needed it strapped on tighter. $5 later, I'm down the road....Seriously! Any other company would've seized the opportunity to charge me for a new system. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! read more

Brought my sons 18 year old car in to fix a broken tailpipe. Obviously didn't want to sink any money into his beater car. Explained the situation and was very pleasantly surprised they were willing to do a cheap fix. Gave me a price range before he started and ended at the lowest end of range. I appreciated it!! read more

I needed anew exhaust system for my old truck. I wanted a semi-custom system, but couldn't afford a lot of $$$. They understood what I wanted and gave me a very reasonable quote to do the work. They are nice people, the job was done when they said it would be done, for exactly what they said it would cost and they did good quality work. I'm not very generous with scoring, but the Wonderful Muffler Man gets all 5 stars from me. read more

Prompt service. Inexpensive option to replacing entire exhaust system. Definitely coming back (if I need to, hope not!) read more

Call for a estimate and make a appointment you stick to. He's a one man shop with a 12 hour 5 day schedule. His price is very fair he uses better materials and workmanship than the big chain places whose mufflers barely last two or three years. He took the time to cut angle and reweld the tail pipe correctly so it wouldn't be off center at no extra charge. read more

I brought my 1996 Altima here after Midas quoted me 420 bucks to fix my exhaust. My muffler had broken off my tailpipe. Instead of trying to sell me an entire new exhaust for my old car, Ozzie welded it back together. 73 bucks! Much more realistic than spending half of what my car is worth on the tailpipe. read more

I walked into the shop and the young woman behind the desk ignored me while she continued to text message. After several minutes she finally acknowledged me and told me to sit and wait. After waiting 45 minutes, the muffler repair guy looked at my car and described the problem but would not allow me to look at my car on the lift. He was irritated with me for suggesting that only the flex pipe needed to be replaced. He said it was impossible to weld a new flex pipe in because the flex pipe was too close to the catalytic converter. I asked if he could do both sides and he said by law he was not allowed to repair the passenger side if it was still good, even though the wire mesh had fallen off the flex pipe. Either way, it didn't matter because they didn't have the parts. I felt like they were both kind of rude to me. I left and took my business to Economy Muffler on University Ave., in St. Paul and I was very happy with them. read more
