    Andy in recovery!
    Sara D.

Exeter Veterinary Hospital is always my go to place for my cat Andy. He was having a renal shutdown from chewing on a golden pothos house plant. He spent the night at EVH and was saved from death. I am forever grateful for the fine and speedy survive as I rushed Andy in on an emergency run.

Dr Haggard and staff are all great they make you feel very welcomed and they love their patients. I have been coming here since 2001 and always treated wonderful. They go the extra step.

Brought my rabbit to be neutered. In the appointment Dr. Haggard made me feel dumb the entire time he was speaking to me, didn't like that. Later, Haggard informed me my rabbit was actually a female and said they could spay her instead. I allowed it but should've taken it as a sign. She died 24 hours later. Appointment was Friday, was also fishy because around 2:00 I called to check on the surgery. They said she might need to stay a night or two but they would call me back. 10 minutes later they call me saying she's perfectly fine and ready to go. I brought her home and she stayed in one spot the entire time then I found her stiff by Saturday. She had red/orange urine next to her body. Had to wait until Monday to speak to someone. Later found out when I called MONDAY that 1. She took a "long time to wake up" and 2. She was bleeding a lot. Didn't they think this was relevant to say at the time of pick up??? Or was it too much for them to keep her those extra nights just to be safe?? I guess so. I have another appointment here that I plan to cancel. Will NOT be trusting them with any of my other pets.

They were amazing but they never have opening wish they had a sister facility. But in my experience they were good and not too expensive.

They require a deposit for an appointment. I've never been asked for a deposit just to hold an appointment. Why? That is the question

The doctor and vet techs are friendly and informative. The prices are slightly better than the other vets around town as well.

Great doctor and staff, like family. They took care of all my fur babies and were so comforting when they made their transition to heaven.

We were in an incredibly painful situation, our dog had bitten our daughter in the face twice and needed to be euthanized for her safety. We had adopted him from a shelter, and finding a compassionate, affordable option was not easy. Shelters were at capacity, the SPCA quoted over $500, and other vets were similarly overpriced. We called Northpoint, received a price over the phone, and made the 45-minute drive from out of town, already emotionally drained. What we experienced once we arrived made a devastating day so much worse. First, upon arrival we were informed, for the first time, that we needed to bring paperwork from the shelter where we adopted our dog. No one mentioned this when we called. Staff attempted to contact the shelter themselves, said they couldn't reach them, and then told us they might not be able to help us at all. My husband had to get back in the car, drive to the shelter to retrieve immunization records, and return, adding significant time and stress to an already traumatic experience. Second, when we were finally seen, they quoted us a higher price than what we were given over the phone. They also attempted to add an urgent care fee, claiming we had been given an urgent appointment, which was not true. My husband had to push back just to get them to reconsider. When he mentioned the original price we were quoted by phone, staff told him there was nothing they could do. We were grieving. We were exhausted. We had already driven nearly an hour and a half round trip for paperwork. And Northpoint chose that moment to add surprise fees and dismiss our concerns entirely. It felt like they knew we had no other options and used that against us. I wouldn't wish this experience on any family already going through the pain of losing a pet. If you're in a similar situation, I'd encourage you to get everything, pricing and requirements, in writing before you make the trip.

Our first experience was with Greta in July of 2023. 16.5 year old Greta was giving us the heads up that she was ready to go. Dr. Gary came in and Greta went peacefully across the rainbow bridge. Greta's brother Wesley, made it to 17.5 years. Ands just has his sister. He moved on peacefully with the help of Dr. Gary. Bella. Our big girl. Still jumping in the couch and chasing the rc car all the way up to a couple weeks ago. In just three days. She stopped eating and was giving us those eyes that we have seen to often non the last year. I am sure Wesley was calling her to walk with him along the mystical canal. Bella. Also just short of 17 years. Not the most touchy feely girl. She came and laid down on the bed where Dr. Gary and I were sitting. All three are together now.

I said no, she already passed and I still had her body in my arms and was calling about cremation services and how much it would cost. The person on the other line went silent. I kept saying hello, hello for awhile, but realized they disconnected the call. We went to Cedar Veterinary instead and took her and paid for her cremation. Not a good way to handle a call after a person's pet has crossed the rainbow bridge.
