DO NOT bring your dog here. There is zero supervision. They lock the dogs in a hot garage all day. There is only a worker there in a morning and afternoon for check in and out and there is nothing on their site that says no supervision. Absolutely unacceptable!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

After 6 days of not hearing from anyone at this business, I received a phone call from the owner. She was apologetic. She refunded me for the cost of the boarding but did not pay for the $235.00 vet bill. 4/2/23 I find it incredibly unprofessional for you to write comments about me "slandering a good Christian business is bad form" or "people take to the internet with hurtful words to tear down good businesses". Writing a review on Yelp is not slander. The purpose of this platform is for people to write positive or negative reviews of their experience. I wrote my real experience using your business. I told you directly that I was in the process of filing a complaint against your business with animal control for my dog not receiving medical attention while in your care. I also told you that I had made but not posted several social media videos explaining my experience using your business. I said I would not go through with the complaint or post videos on social media because you had finally reached out. My biggest issue was not that a dog fight had happened. It was how it was handled. He did not receive medical attention when he needed it. He was injured and filthy for 24-48 hours before being seen by a vet. My messages were ignored for 6 days. Admitting that my dog soiled himself only tells me how scared and neglected he was. You refunded me $140 for the stay. But I had to pay $235 for his vet visit. Putting the responsibility on me for your livelihood and how you support your family is incredibly misguided. At the end of the day it is very clear your biggest concern is getting a negative review. You have never once asked how Rocket was recovering, even in the last text you sent to me asking to take down my review. read more

This is just a case of false advertising. The website makes Christensen Dog Ranch sound like a top of the line facility where dogs will not only be well-housed, but receive lots of play time and recreation. In fact, there is just a barn with kennels (I can't be sure the state of the cages because we weren't permitted to see inside the barn) which appears to be kept dark, and the yard seems to be mostly unkempt. I was disappointed to learn that there is only someone there from 8-10, and again from 4-6. The rest of the time the dogs are kept in the barn. I can't be sure but I didn't see an AC unit on the building. When I tried to contact the ranch to make sure they had our dog's feeding instructions, I never received a response. The one employee I met was very sweet and reassuring, but the few times I called I was never able to get anyone on the phone. I also paid for a walk each day and there's no way of knowing if that happened. Just not a good experience, kind of a depressing place overall. read more

We boarded our 3-year-old lab for the day while hitting the trails in Sequoia National Park. We sent our vaccine records in advance. Check-in was straightforward at 8 am, and several other dogs immediately greeted our pup. With ample communication, we successfully set up an off-schedule pick-up of our dog. Huge thank you to the staff for being so accommodating. Pick-up was painless. On arrival, our pup happily waiting for us in a smaller yard with the other dogs who were getting picked up. Penny, my dog, has stayed there 2 times this summer. The gal who takes care of the dogs is very nice. She responds when you message her. Penny always comes home exhausted. She's a husky and I don't think she stops running the whole time. read more

Picked up my pup today, he was so happy! First time boarding my dog and I was a little worried what our experience would be. From the moment I talked to the owner on the phone to drop off and then pick up. They made me feel like by dog would be taken cared for and was taken cared of. I loved how spacious the kennels were and the plentiful space the dogs had to run around in fenced yards. I highly recommend leaving your furry family members here. I will definitely return to use their services. Just FYI, no pickups on weekends and cash/check only. read more

Hartley's Top Dog Kennels offers so much more than many other kennels, especially for the price. The dogs get to spend time out I in the huge fenced in area (seriously close to the size of some dog parks). Socialized dogs can play with other dogs during their stay. The Hartleys often post pictures on social media so you can see your dog while you're away. They deal with lots dogs and various health/medication/dietary issues and they ensure each dog gets exactly what they need per your instructions. Their daughters often help and you can tell they love animals, so you can rest assured your dogs will receive plenty of love and care while they are there. Make sure to book early, especially during summer and major holidays. They can fill up months in advance sometimes, because they have a large returning customer base. read more

We have been boarding our golden retrievers at Harley's for years with great satisfaction, however management has change and so has the care for our fur babies... One of our golden retrievers has epilepsy and requires phenobarbital every 12 hours, with this dosage he has not had any seizures in over a year... This has not been a problem in the past as they were familiar with this condition and would give our dog his meds as required... They even have a form filled out with written instructions... The LAST TIME we picked up our two goldens we notice that they had not given the proper dosage as there was 12 extra pills still left in the bottle... I write this review as my golden is sitting in my lap having repeated seizures... We can only imagine how many seizures our fur baby went though under their care these past 12 days... This is total irresponsibility on their part and we will NEVER USE CHRISTENSEN'S DOG RANCH AGAIN!!! read more

This is a great place to board your dog. They are friendly and the area is very spacious for active and energetic dogs. My pup loves the room he had to run around and friends he met while he stayed there. He loved it so much he didn't want to leave. They take good care of your furry friend. We usually travel with our dogs -- they're part of our family. During the times they can't come with us, we've taken them to Hartleys Top Dog Kennels. Hartleys TDK is one of the only places I feel 100% confident that our dogs will be safe and treated great. Both Mr. and Mrs. Hartley are top-notch when it comes to caring for our dogs. The kennels are always clean; they take care of special requests, like feeding them separately, and they know the dogs by name and personality. They know our labs are playful and get along well with other dogs, so they get a chance to get out and play with other dogs in the big shady yard. Our little poodle is pickier when it comes to playing nice with others, but the Hartleys make sure she gets to have fun in the yard as well on her own terms. Our dogs are always happy when I make the turn off to their place. If you're traveling to Sequoia National Park, know that dogs aren't allowed anywhere other than paved parking lots. My recommendation would be to leave them here and enjoy the park knowing that your pooches will be well taken care of. Do call first for a reservation. Their rates are very reasonable. The peace of mind we get from leaving our four legged family members with Hartleys TDK is immense -- we know that they'll get love and great care every single time we leave the pack with them. Our pets have been kenneled with Topdog for several years now. They absolutely love it; especially our current dog. He gets lots of playtime, a nice cool or warm place to lay his head.
