Cisco Montejano our very best friend.
Yolanda M.

In April of 2023 we had to help our fur baby cross the rainbow bridge since he had heart problems. Cisco was our very first dog and was the light of our life. The veterinarian was kind, patient and compassionate during the process of letting go. If I ever had to do this again it is the most merciful way to let a pet go. I cannot imagine taking my fur baby to the veterinarian office once more. In the comfort of our home we shared our final memories. Thank you.

Our beloved dog Gunne June 15th 2015 to June 11th 2025

On June 11th 2025 at 8:45 pm Dr. Karen helped our Gunne transition peacefully. Dr. Karen helped our other dog Bently on October 2nd, 2024. I would recommend codapet to anyone with animals ,Dr.Karen is kind, professional, and passionate when it comes to helping your pet transition. Dr.Karen keeps the atmosphere very friendly when dealing with pet owners she helped keep me focused while Gunne was transitioning , she was polite and knowledgeable. If you want to help your pet transition please use Codapet they are incredible and kind and caring.

Its never an easy experience when you have to put your best friend down. My father in law had to put his Molly down. Dr. Karen Whala came to the house and did an amazing job. She was extremely compassionate and never rushed the experience. She was very concerned for Molly's comfort and making sure it was an easy experience for her. I would highly recommend this service and Dr. Whala. She is amazing.

my gorgeous long haired Dachshund RosAna Isabela .. in our hearts forever ..

Dr. Clem made a very difficult situation easier .. she was kind helpful, and patient .. we had time to say goodby and know she in a better place

Dr. Hsia was just wonderful. His compassion and gentleness eased our heartache and provided our girl Lottie with a quiet and dignified passing.

Losing our dog Grimm has been nothing short of excruciating. We're still struggling with his absence and are still so very deep in the throes of grief nine days after Dr. Gary Hsia assisted Grimm in his transition. Losing a beloved pet companion is always so difficult and the ways we choose to send them off is such a personal experience, which is why having Dr. Hsia's help was so important. We were able to hold our Special Guy as he left us, to make sure he felt comfort in his last moments. We lit him a prayer candle and brought him a bundle of his favorite rosemary from our front yard and tucked it under his arm. We cried... a lot. As i held Grimm in my arms, I thanked him, sang him the song I made up for into his little ear, and told him we loved him. Dr. Hsia allowed us private time to do this, but even after he came back, we carried on. He made the environment feel safe & comfortable to do so. I learned about this service through my mom. Dr, Hsia also helped to peacefully release her dog Rudy (I was present) as well as her cat Luna. I'll never forget how gentle he was with Rudy, sending him off to the ever-after, reminding him of how he's a good boy. That same tenderness Dr. Hsia provided to Rudy was present with our dog Grimm too. The work that Dr. Hsia & the rest of Coda Pet provides is so important. It takes a special kind of person to provide this type of service. It requires patience and the ability to hold space for others. It's a sacred process for so many of us and the facilitators there know & understand that. I think it's also important to note that Coda also provides aftercare resources to their clients. Some people might not find that as valuable as the main service they provide. However, for those of us who struggle with the loss of our pet a little bit more, the aftercare resources provided are invaluable. I would recommend Coda Pet to anyone who is preparing to say goodbye to their beloved animal companion.

Our boy, Zito (White German Shepherd)

What is the general cost of doing something like this?

Hi, I paid 400 but honestly it's well worth it. If you did it at the hospital you're looking at maybe 300.

From the unexpected very first phone call the day before, they patiently walked me through the process while I was extremely emotional and overwhelmed. They were calm, kind, and never rushed us. The gentleman who met us at the hospital to transport our baby was thoughtful and respectful. We chose a private viewing and cremation, and while it was more expensive than other options, I wouldn't trade that experience for the world. When we arrived at the facility early the morning of, before the viewing or cremation, we brought breakfast as a small thank you for their compassion. They were genuinely surprised (said it's never been done before), which only spoke further to the selfless care they provide. We were given a private room set slightly away from the reception area, which provided much needed privacy. The room was simple but serene, with a couch, tissues, and a infant changing table style setup. Our baby had already been peacefully laid on the changing table with a small blanket, as if he was just sleeping. Being able to close the door, take our time, hold him, talk to him, cry, and say goodbye without interruption meant everything. They then carefully explained and showed us each step and allowed us to choose how involved we wanted to be, which we deeply appreciated. The whole process only took a few hours and our soul baby was rested in a nice temporary urn while we waited for our custom one. Our requested paw prints, nose prints, and hair clippings were also ready and prepped for us. This was our second time losing a fur baby, but our first experience with this company, and I truly cannot imagine handling such a loss any other way. Highly recommend.

That said, I just wanted to say thank you to Shane again for his true patience, professionalism, kindness and understanding throughout the whole process. A friend recommended me to Shane and Golden State Pet Crematorium after she lost her fur baby. When the time came after Indy; my dog, passed away, I contacted them the next day. They said that we could come in asap and that there was no wait period, which I appreciated. On top of that, he empathized and was patient with me when I sobbed on the phone because it happened so soon. Which I truly appreciated since it proved to me that Shane is a real one. To wrap up, their prices are extremely fair, the options are gorgeous as seen in the pics I included, and the turn around time to complete the cremation was finished in a week. I would highly recommend Shane to anyone who is looking for a crematorium for their recently deceased fur baby. 10/10 easy for this spot.

Our dog needed a cut bad cus his hair was growing out like crazy. He's never gotten groomed before…read moreso we didn't know how he would react. Found this place on Yelp and this was our second choice since our first choice did not answer their phone. We made a quick appt over the phone and it was smooth sailing. We ran a little bit late and tried to call while on the way but they were not picking up. We finally got to them literally a light away from there and they said they couldn't hear the phone cus of the dryers. We finally got there and we dropped him off. They said to come back within 2-3 hrs which was fine with us cus then he should be done right after our son gets out of school. They never called or texted till way later. I assume they had a lot of clients. Went back and got him all cleaned up. No special haircut or anything cus from what they said, our fluffy frenchie should not be cut like shaved off a lot cus they said his hair might not grow back a lot. So he got a good trim under his butt, behind his legs and the part that looks like a lions mane. They cut his nails but said it was hard cus he wouldn't really stay still. They cleaned his ears. They couldn't brush his teeth cus he was moving too much they said. So the lady told us to try to train him on that?.. the regular trim came wit cleaning ears and cutting nails so it was I think $80 or $85. I think it would've been $10 more for teeth brushing.. they added a lil bandana as well to his neck. So cute. The dude we talked to when dropping him off was koo but the lady after picking him up was a lil stiff and sounded frustrated.. the place is kinda expensive compared to our first choice that offered $60-$65 for the same thing. The place walking in had shelves that was all empty. Not sure why..
