This place isn't half bad. It isn't great. The male bartenders upstairs and the female bartenders downstairs are all SUPER nice, courteous... and DAMN, they can pour a drink. That alone will keep my thirsty @$$ coming back for more. The gogo boys were kinda busted... my friend insisted on tipping them anyhow. I got caressed by one of them - thanks DTO. Thanks. I must admit, the only thing that sucked was having to finish your drink before going out to the patio to smoke or chill in the fresh air. I knocked off a star for that. The bar has a $20 minimum if you decide to use a credit card. Easy to do, considering drinks mixed with top shelf liquor are only about 8 dollars a pop. Went here for a friend's birthday party. Had no idea what to expect, but lo and behold, it was a drag show with famous drag queens! Totally new and fun experience for me. A little intimidating, but fun nonetheless. The drinks were pretty cheap and STRONG. Always a fun place to visit. They have 2 levels lower level is one of the 2 bars that has pool tables and karaoke. The upper level has a remodeled lounge/ dance floor and sitting booth for larger groups and the second bar. The crowd is mixed.... My last time there the crowd for a friday night at 1130pm was extremely light... Maybe 30 people in the bar total. Overall a good experience. read more

I had bookmarked this bar a while ago and finally drove over to LB to check it out last Saturday night. I love to dance, and especially in a gay bar when it's ladies night...I can just go out on the floor and dance away, I don't even have to go through that "do you want to dance" etc. Yes, the dance floor was hot, and it was packed....so what? When I dance, I cut loosed and dance one song to the next, so I'm always going to be hot, no worries. And all those bodies on the floor, just about all were women, thumpin' and bumpin' to the music, I was lovin' it. I met a few ladies who loved watching me dance and we chatted up a little. I didn't have to worry about anyone hitting on me...everybody had their own crew, that's okay. I wasn't looking to hook up, because if I was it would have been no problem. I must say, This place is AWESOME. I had a blast here with my friend and now boyfriend, back in December. The show they had upstairs had me smiling huge. Everyone there was so super nice, and ABSOLUT VODKA was there celebrating too. so everyone was getting hammered (but me) but i must say for as small as it is downstaris, the upstaris is huge. the shows are fun, the people are great, and i actually met my boyfriend here for our 1st date. His roommate took him out, and i took one of my friends with me, and we all had a great time together, I made new friends, and totally fell for my boyfriend! I sugguest this place to my friends for a good time, or even if they're lookin for love too. So I used to live down the street from this place near the traffic circle. I know that Long Beach isnt Weho but the people in the LBC are cool and like nice things. At least everywhere I have been and lived. I've been to this place twice in my life. I dont remember the first time so much but the second time I was there I found it to be lame. Everyone was crowded on the second floor. It was a sweaty mess. No room to walk or dance without someones elbow in your side, face and ppl are always stepping on your toes. I like it better down stairs with the air conditioning and the pool tables. I also found that the majority of the ppl the night I was there were kinda ghetto and I'm not into that. However, I was told by the coat check girl that Thursdays were better and that I should come back and check that out. Hmmm maybe I will, but I dont live down the street anymore... read more

I have very mixed feeling for this place. Sometimes it's a blast with good music, crowd, and vibes! But then most times its either calm, lonely, and poor music OR its crowded, rude, and still usually poor music (when I say poor music, I'm referring to the played out typical pop/house/electra remixed songs... what they really should have is a hip-hop night and for their "latin night" they should actually play LATIN music not that typical lady gaga and radio remixed songs). Also, lets say out of 20 times that I have been here, I have only been served by ONE nice, patient and helpful bartender (unfortunately I forgot his name!). The rest of the bartenders are rather rude, without smiles - I mean not even a grin... = beginner vibe killer alert. But the costs of the drinks are reasonable (thank goodness). There is an upstairs and downstairs with a bar and bathroom on both floors. Downstairs there's about 3 tables and a pool table. Upstairs there are plenty of seats, the DJ isn't that friendly and isn't likely to accept song/genre requests, and a small dance floor, which in my opinion has too much lighting (how wrong is it that I rather not see who I am dancing with, even with my liquor goggles on...if you know what I mean). Oh and the fact that there is a cover charge that varies from $5-12, depending on the night I assume... a lot of the times I wish I had kept my money and spent it on food instead. read more

So, I have been loving this bar for almost two years... and I was here with my main girls (it's rare to have us all able to get out together at the same time). It's 1:39AM, and my friend and I were almost done with our pool game, when some random (pretty sure employee? He was a balding guy with a FULL BEER...) comes up to our table and shoves all the balls away and says, "sorry we're closing." And honestly, I was insulted by this because there were at least 10+ ppl finishing their drinks, and we weren't even allowed to finish our pool game that we were already almost done with... I frequent many bars in Long Beach, and this never goes down anywhere. I was born and raised in this city... I'll be at Good Bar, or Tracy's, and they'll always let me finish a game-- even if it's a few minutes after closing. I'm not even trying to finish a drink or order more, just finish a game, yet at this bar, they did my friend and I so dirty that I really feel the need to write this review. In my head, I'm thinking-- "is it because we are white girls that they think we're going to take five hours to finish one game??? Like really? Come on?" My girl and I were less than 10 minutes from wrapping up our last game, (which STILL would've been before the bar even closed) but they didn't even give us a chance... soooooo, this bar was cool before tonight, but I'm basically offended by how my friend and I were thrown around and treated like pawns towards the end of the night. I was thorough when ordering, tipped, handled myself respectfully, and was just simply trying to enjoy my precious free time with my girls, and to have some guy come up and literally throw our game down the pockets was offensive as fuck. I've been trying to make this bar a regular spot, but fuck that... if the staff is gonna play like that, then I am never suggesting or recommending this bar ever again. I'm really disappointed, and have never had any bar in this entire city that I was raised in pull some shit like that on me-- and it really adds to my disappointment that my friends made a big effort to come out tonight just for something like that to go down. It was like a slap in the face... and let me just say... I work retail... I understand needing to close... but we had 20 minutes at least to finish shooting 2-5 balls left on the table... no drinks or anything... we just wanted to finish our game, but apparently that wasn't okay ??? Why have pool tables if you're gonna do ppl like that ??? I didn't pay a stupid dollar to play just to be done dirty like that... The bottom line is that not only was doing that to customers utterly unfair, but that was a complete bull shit move too. It wasn't 2:06AM or some shit, we were gonna finish before closing yet apparently in their minds they close earlier. So executive suite, change your fucking hours if you're gonna be like that. Seriously disappointed and offended by the staff's behavior and entitlement... I thought this bar wouldn't have a stick up their ass like many others, but I have been shown otherwise after tonight. I'm taking my money elsewhere! Big mistake on my part trying to make this place happen, but I'll be positive-- at least they showed us their true colors before I got attached to this bar. been here quite a few times... good music on saturdays, drinks are ok, I swear the ac doesnt work though - if you want to lose weight go here, it is 2 floors - 1st floor bar, pool tables kinda small, 2nd floor - bar, dance floor, poles, dancers, dj, restrooms and seating area. nice location for a bar/night club with multi-levels and a mediocre sized outdoor patio for the cancer stick supporters. bartenders make drinks fairly decent here, though i can't say for sure because i'm usually already pretty drunk from another location, and we carpool/uber or something over to this location afterwards. parking is minimal here but there is a lot adjacent to the liquor store across the street which is probably full of the staff and entertainment anyway. street parking or getting dropped off is probably your best bet. depending on the night, there may be no cover to enter or a varying amount mostly under $10. "first" floor is the area you enter from the street on, karaoke bar + restrooms, with secret downstairs area for god knows what.. i've never been down there lol. second upstairs floor sometimes has its own cover (? ok so one time i came on a thurs for RPDR and regular cover is free but to go upstairs it was $7.... and then i came another time and it was a saturday or friday and the door cover was $7 and it included both floors, so whatevs). upstairs has a dance floor with a couple of permanent gogo booths/poles, dj booth, another bar, seating around the perimeter and restrooms. if you go, go for #dragrace since they bring in the big names to host. Morgan McMichaels, Jessica Wild, Delta Work, to name a few.... Miss Vanjieeeee lol. overall a good time to be had here, but of course it depends on who your group is too. jello shots are served most all nights i've been here and they're pretty good. the ones in the syringes kinda make me queezy thinking someone elses' mouth was on them too, but whatevs i guess. read more

There are new owners here and they are working on making the place a lot better than with the old owner. The dancers on Saturday night are hot!!, the bartenders are wonderful and the sound system is nice. The dance floor is pretty good upstairs and I like that I can come downstairs to a bit quieter bar. Oh and they have a new transgender night. Unlike the other trans clubs, they are not attracting the chasers. Yay!! The hostesses are fabulous with Lady Red as DJ and KJ at the beginning of the night. It isn't getting too crowded yet but it's a nice crowd. It's free to get in on Wednesday for trans night. It has no place to go but to grow on transgender night and they are opening a nice lounge on another floor soon. read more

First off, there is nothing "executive" about this place. The building itself is attached to a liquor store and it just screams ghetto fabulous. Emphasis on the ghetto part. My friend was in town and wanted to go to this establishment because Thursdays are Latino Night. We arrived about a quarter to midnight and paid a $5 cover each for the three of us. We went up the stairs and the place is empty. The place has a smell and a gritty, dirty feel to it. Major letdown after we just paid $15 to just enter this bar/club. We get to the bar and of course it's cash only. (That's also another why I can tell a place is budget because they don't want to spend the extra money on technology I guess) The bartender tells us that the bar downstairs will take debit and give you cash back. Apparently there is not ATM in this place but the bar is cash only? Does that make sense for a business? So we head back down the stairs and the bar is totally full of people. We decide to go to go next door to get money. We tell the security guard that we are going next door and he lets us out. We figure that we will be able to reenter since they had put the wristbands on us when we paid the cover. In addition to getting money from the ATM, we decide to buy a drink. Might as well since we're here! As we are in this store, we notice that we are getting followed. No, it wasn't by the liquor store owner or any employee of the liquor store but from some lady that works at Executive Suite. We go outside and she is still following us. She finally approaches us and tells us that we can't go back into the club. She told us that we weren't supposed to go in and out. We told her that we were getting money from the ATM in the liquor store because there was no ATM in the bar. We told the security guard at the door what was going down. He nodded to us and didn't try to stop us or anything. Then she changes her story and said that we can't buy drinks from this place when we go in and out. We ask her to show us where this rule is posted. She does not have an answer. We tell her that we just paid the cover and got these wristbands. What is the point of these wristbands if you can't go in and out? And if you have rules, you need to post them so people can follow them. You can't just follow people and pull rules out of your ass when you feel like it lady. She says that we won't be getting back in and she leaves us. We finish our drink and proceed back to this rundown bar. The security guard sympathizes with us but said that he can't let us back in because that lady told him not to. At this point, the lady is now right next to the security guard and she says that we are not allowed in. I am about to throw a fit now because I can't believe how stupidly this bar is run. Businesses fail because of the actions of the owners/managers, not the economy. If you are a good business, you will have both loyal, recurring customers and new customers, when the economy is at any state. Especially if it's managed right. He keeps insisting that we didn't get money out. We pull out the ATM receipt and show it to their faces. We tell him that we want to talk to the manager. He tells us that there is no manager.Well then that makes sense because your bar sucks ass. Nothing personal. In a nutshell: -If your business is cash only, please have an ATM so your customers can get cash easily. -If there are no in and outs allowed, again, have an ATM inside or please post something on your wall. -If the rule is that you can only use the ATM in the liquor store and you can't buy ANYTHING ELSE, you should probably post that somewhere too. Or tell the liquor store owner and have them tell their patrons. (I don't really think they would do that just because they are a business as well and it's not their fault if we want to buy anything from their store) -If your bar is empty, you might want to allow people in so it's not so dead. The night concluded when they agreed to give us back our money. They didn't even give us the full $15. Not surprising at all. I'm sure they could use all the money they get. You lost customers and you lost revenue. We had gotten money out of the ATM to buy more drinks and tacos afterwards. Owners/Managers, good luck with the business. Went there for my friend (and half of Long Beach's friend) Melissa's birfday a couple months ago. *whachow* SO MUCH FUN!! Drinks are crazy strong, crazy cheap and believe this--they brought out the gay man in me! (well, I think the house/techno that was spinning at the end of the night also helped with that) I actually started bustin out my old-skool rave moves. (yes, I did that in the 90's) The dance floor upstairs is pretty big and the dancers....oh the dancers....really, just come on in to experience them--namely Melissa. I go all the time because I always feel welcomed, the music is good, and Lipstick Divas on Thursday nights is my favorite of the many drag shows I have been to. They always get the best talent on this show. I noticed Jorge R posted a review, and shared his experience at the club when he went to the drag show last week. LISTEN UP, JACKASS. I WAS SITTING RIGHT NEXT TO YOU during the show. Despite management being kind enough to get you guys great seats right in the front, you were talking the entire time, and were drunkenly yelling insults at the queens, trying to make yourself feel important. You and your friends were already drunk when you showed up, and adorned your table with condoms....so...you were clearly begging for attention, and when the host, Morgan McMichaels called you on it, you had nothing to say for yourself. She gave you the opportunity to speak your mind, and for the first time that evening you got quiet. As host of the show, it was her job to protect the girls in the show and the audience. Claiming you were upset about about a couple of jokes that were made (Thursday nights are Latin Nights by the way so if anything Morgan and the management are incredibly supportive of the Latin Community)...is merely an attempt to excuse your childlike behavior. Oh and real classy throwing your glass at Morgan as you were escorted out. Always a great way to safely get out your insecurities. Even if there were "only about 20 people in the audience," you still managed to miss every single one of us. So, now that you are banned from the club I hope you will take the time you now have to yourself to work on your aim. read more

I came here on a Saturday night which is "ladies night" when you walk in the after 10 it's a $7 cover.ummmm ...2 levels the first level played rock n roll shit and top level was more reggae/top 20 hiphop hits.The dance floor is quite small but those damn go go dancers are pretty hot if that's what your into.Drinks are pretty pricey can't remember what I actually paid because I got drunk before I went.Overall great place had a great atmosphere and decent music. " You Need Nicer Staff" Well this is the only other Long Beach Gay Club that I like besides Ripples. The second floor is the place to get your dance on. 1st floor is more laid back, the chill area of the club. Drinks are pretty good, decently priced. Usually they have "okay" drink specials. I have been here on Halloween, girls nite, boys nite. Girls nite is pretty cool. We go with my lesbian friend. The Lesbians here are totally cool. Some straight girls tag along with their gay girls on girls nite. (WINK, WINK) Lesbian bartender with the blond hair on the 2nd floor is also very nice and friendly. The only down side is the SECURITY, they are rude and some are not so "gay friendly". "Why work in the kitchen if you can't take the heat." GET RID OF THOSE _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _. If your not out a minute after they turn off the music and the DJ tells you goodnight. Security will kick your ass and throw you out...J/K...well okay they won't do that, but it seems like they would love to. OVER ALL PRETTY HAPPENING SPOT. People I'm not your dad, but please people. The service was so disgusting. Their lack of customer service was so appalling. I've been a regular at that bar through thick and thin. I normally buy a lot of drinks from the bar and I tip the bartenders very well. However, the lack of acknowledgement and helping customers who were behind you is insulting and unprofessional. I'm all about waiting my turn but when I've been dissed and dismissed, it is time to move on and find a better Friday night venue. I refuse to accept lousy service at a subpar bar. read more

I love this place, mostly because it is nothing like truckstop, Here...westho in general. I've only gone on Saturdays. The dance floor is usually packed and you can always get a round of pool in too. My friends and I like going here because the music is danceable and there are plenty women of color and the right amount of hipsters (a small handful) to keep us entertained. I really really really wish the cover wasnt so high...Then I could go more often. I dont recall ever thinking the drinks were ridiculously priced, so thats a good thing. There's always parking across the street, behind the motel. And as a few other yelpers mentioned, I always manage to leave this place drunk and happy. read more

The Executive Suite is a LGBTQ bar and nightclub that has undergone a reinvention. It's been around forever but new owners took over about a year ago. That can be a good thing or a bad thing In this case it's a GREAT thing. Before it was a lesbian bar only - now they have a great drag show every Thursday and it's cool to see the stars or RuPaul's Drag Race upclose and in an intimate setting. The have Boys Nights on Fridays with super hot dancers with no attitude - I come from Portland which has full frontal dancers, but prefer a little left to the imagination and so do my straight friends. LOL. Lesbians still party on Saturdays - I went with a contingent of women, but I was never made to feel like the odd man out. Yesterday, they had country western night with free line dance lessons. I sat and chatted and then got enough liquid courage to participate and I am telling you it was the most fun I had in a long time. Not hard - thank God, because I am not a dancer. The crowd had no attitude and were welcoming. Love the bar staff - feels like a family atmosphere which is hard to achieve. Place is clean and the owners even showed me a "sneak preview" of the new underground lower level which will be in Ultra Lounge and make The Suite the only 3-level bar of any kind in Long Beach. It's cool. Fun. Attitude Free. And, I loved it! read more

The management was nice and made an announcement about my phone, and said I could wait til 2am when they turn on the lights to look for it. However, I waited and then was not ever allowed to look for it, so I waited around for nothing. They said they would review video footage, but I haven't heard anything. This is a review solely based on my Thursday night visit. I was there on thursday, and I must say, you will be happy if you are gay ( I do mean gay only, not lesbian, quite a few cuties in there), looking for a place to hang, shoot some pool or simply for a place to drink. I was there around 9:30ish which was a mistake to begin with, because the dance floor upstair wasn't open yet. More info should have been posted on the web site, as it said on the site, door opens @ 8, I thought it would be OK to arrive slighty early to get a parking spot in the lot (or else you'll have to spend a life time looking for parking, which is also another reason why I wasn't a regular here). Things were slow even after the upstair dance floor opens, I think there were only 10 gals there (maybe even less), and a few dozen of boys there. (not good for a lesbian), people slowly pouring in at around 11-ish, but still most of them were boys, and by 11:30 I left for Hamburger Mary in LBC. I thought that Executive Suite was a lesbian bar??? it was Latin night, I was hoping to see more Latinas there. Oh well, two hours, 3 drinks with cover only cost me under $20. Is economical compare to my usually $70 at Weho. The distance for me to drive to LBC or Weho is relatively the same, but more gals would have been much much MUCH better. =) read more
