Poor communication, inexperienced drivers, but somewhat pleasant office staff. Management needs a revamp starting from the top and not enough properly trained employees. Honestly, I've been using executive express for about three years now - using it several times per year. Usually it's not a bad experience and I've only had one bad driver. However, I do have a problem with one of the vans reeking of cigarette smoke and a SUPER rude front desk employee. Listen - if I want to double check if I have the appropriate ID for the airport, I'd expect a better answer that "our only job is to get you to the airport" and shutting me down TWICE. If taking people to the airport makes up 99.99% of your business, maybe you should have answers to some very important questions? Executive Express vans make runs up and down I-35, picking up people at various gas stations and other stops along the way and delivering them to the Minneapolis, Minnesota, or Des Moines, Iowa, airports. I made a round-trip reservation to shuttle my mom from north central Iowa to the Des Moines airport. As it turned out, there was a winter storm and I had to re-schedule to work around flight cancellations, etc. The women who answered the Executive Express reservation line were helpful and accommodating. Even after-hours on a Saturday when I had to make one final schedule change the phone line provided an option to reach a manager who notified the driver that Mom's return flight to Des Moines had been delayed. After her flight landed she was able to easily locate the Executive Express desk near the rental car desks / baggage claim and the driver met her there. She said the drivers were friendly and helpful. Despite the bad weather Executive Express provided great service. The price was not unreasonable compared with gas and parking for a round-trip to Des Moines and the peace of mind of not having to drive was worth it. read more

My experience with this company has been entirely positive. I was picked my up at my door and arrived at the airport safely and on time. The ride home was very good as well, dropping me off at my door and even helping with my bags. The driver was courteous and drove safely. The van was comfortable. No problems with temperature. Beware if you are traveling with children requiring carseats! The ride was full... They accounted for every spot including middle seats knowing the passengers were all adults and two kids in carseats. EVERYONE was cramped... I was squished between a 250 lb man and a carseat. I would give this service ZERO stars if I could. We reserved this service for our daugther to go to the airport. They were over 30 minutes late picking her up for the airport. My daughter returned to Minneapolis and was to be picked up at 6:00. She called us at 6:50 saying that she was still waiting for the bus!!! This is unacceptable, especially for what they charge. Got to my pick up 45min. before the shuttle needed to be there. The shuttle arrived 45 min. late. No call, no email, no communication from Executive Express. Called the call center and they could not contact the driver and did not know where he was. When the driver arrived he apologized profusely for being late. Then fought with the back of the shuttle to get the doors open and shut. I was checked in on a tablet and then the shuttle was off on its way to the airport. My recommendation would be to put a GPS tracker on the vehicle or at least track the tablet. Then give that location to the call center so they are informed. What is the business continuity plan for a late shuttle? How about a missed flight for the customers who wanted to use the service? I will update this when I get to the airport. My hope was to be their early. Now I may be cutting it close for my afternoon flight. I'll update do if I make my flight or not. ***update - When we arrived the driver was kind enough to let me off first in order to make my flight. I did have enough time to get through TSA and find my gate. Granted I checked in with my flight in their mobile app. and had no bags to check.*** I will also update in 3 days if there is any compensation for the tardiness of the shuttle. ***update - there was no compensation from EE. I made a call to their office the day if my return, asking if the shuttle could wait an additional 10 min. so I wouldn't have to wait an hour and a half for the next shuttle which I was scheduled to take. As my flight came in 10 min. before it would leave. I was told no. But if I could make it in time they would transfer me to the earlier shuttle. I made it in time to the counter. Winded. I asked to be moved and the gentleman asked me to calm down. I explained I was winded from running. He mentioned he might not be able to move me as I was not scheduled until the next shuttle. I explained what I had been told and he did move me. *** I'm glad that those who were on the next pickup were able to leave early. Nice conversation with them on the ride. Way too long of a trip, WAY too many stops in the various towns and in the airports. Got to town an HOUR later than predicted (so a 4 hour trip from cities rather than 3), then dropped off at the wrong spot in Brainerd. The previous time before that I used them we had a delay in St. Cloud for 3 HOURS because the driver and bus meeting us wasn't there. They have NEVER offered any sort of compensation for their errors, delays.....no refunds, vouchers, free trips or even an apology!!! Wish it was just in Brainerd/Baxter like it used to be, rather than St. Cloud. I have not been impressed since the switch over. read more

I used to use the Brainerd shuttle service regularly before it was sold to this company and never had any issues. Tried to book a ride with them this week, called a half-dozen times and they never picked up the phone. Finally I reached someone but I was disconnected or hung up on a few seconds later, and of course was not able to get through again after trying another half dozen times. Was able to reach someone the morning of my planned travel and was told they had too many calls to answer them all. If you ask me, a service which makes travel bookings should be answering every call during their listed business hours, no matter what it takes. They aren't even equipped to put you on hold until someone is available - they just send you straight to voice-mail, with a generic message which doesn't even confirm if anyone's answering phones or not (you'll just have to hope the hours are up to date on their website, not that it made any difference in my case). They just promise to get back to you "as soon as possible". They never returned my voice-mail. In the end I wasn't able to use the shuttle, because by the time I reached them they were not planning to make any of the A.M runs I needed. Curious how they are so busy they can't answer the phone, yet also are canceling half the trips listed on their timetable. I think they sold the route to Executive Express about two years ago-- pretty telling that every review since then is bad! read more

Made a reservation for transportation to Sauk Centre. Flight was supposed to leave Denver 456p but was delayed...stayed in contact with them the entire time. On the 4th phone call, once the flight was scheduled to leave at 10p, this rep discovered that the previous reps had been looking at shuttles for that same day instead of the next morning...the plane would've landed in MSP after midnight...and there were actually NO shuttles scheduled until 6a....so sorry, nothing they could do about it. Explained that there was another person on my flight that was on the same shuttle...didn't matter, still nothing they could do. Made my own arrangements for transportation and will never use them again. However, they still charge you and you have a credit to use. So a friend had someone that was going to use the service and I told them to use my credit up. Called them and they said that my friend just needed to give my confirmation number and it would be no problem. Just chatted with friend to see how it went and it was a nightmare but they were able to get it done. Apparently the person that I talked to was supposed to transfer it to my friend's name...who knew??? I think they need some serious training so all employees are on the same page. I've been using Executive Express shuttles a couple of times a year for a decade. I've never been late to the airport or have been kept waiting for more than 20 minutes. I was very disappointed in their service. Our flight was delayed slightly and the driver would not wait more than five minutes. I walked out of the airport at 3:30 to let the driver know I was at baggage claim waiting for my bags. He took off. Took us 3 1/2 hours to go to Wait Park. Our return trip was just as horrible. Driver never showed up for an hour To take us to the airport. We had to drive half the way ourselves with no compensations. Never again!!! read more

This is my 6th year traveling to MN to fish, and each year I've always had great service with cordial drivers. Even though the routes aren't typically direct from the airport, I never am waiting. Horrible drivers. Need to be trained better. There was one today on 94 W around 10am and he was flashing his high beam light (also tailgating) other vehicles including mine. Very distracting and caused potential car accidents especially in this weather condition in MN. I have Considered Executive express but not anymore! Not pleased with their service due to their dangerous driving. Need better training. I have never seen anyone tailgate and flash or leave their high beam on for more than 5-10 minutes. Convenient and economical method of transportation between MSP and outlying areas (St. Cloud for me). Drivers are friendly and not too crazy! Beats driving to/from the airport. Probably not good for groups or families, but perfect when traveling solo. read more

While the service is convenient from Clearwater, they cram four adults in the back seat. It was not even possible to put on a seat belt since one person took up extra room. This a great service, however, being picked up from the Ames Intermodal Facility is always frustrating. The shuttle is NEVER on time! Ten to fifteen minutes late would be fine, but the shuttles I have been on are 20-40 minutes late. This is the cheapest service that is available to me and it is extremely unfortunate that they are ALWAYS tardy. Returning to Ames from the airport is never a hassle, thankfully, and the employees are, for the most part, kind. My husband I had such a wonderful experience with Executive Express this March. Our shuttle drivers, both to and from the airport, were helpful and kind. The driver that picked us up in Albertville even ran into the hotel to tell the front desk we were parking there for a week. They also helped with our bags and made sure we left on time. The Branch Manager, Traci, was also wonderful in accommodating our needs and made sure were were more than happy with our experience. Using Executive Express really takes the stress out of getting to the airport. You couldn't park your car at MSP for cheaper than the cost of a roundtrip from this shuttle service. My flight got canceled while in Europe, sent email notifying them of my flight and ask if they can rescheduled me with the same time. Needless to say I never received an email confirmation so once I arrived at MSP airport I was told that I would've to wait 3 hours since everything is full...Seriously I was pissed!! Nov. 14, 2017, we shuttled from Brainerd to MSP, Chevy van with 600K+ miles on it. The front brake rotors were warped, so every time the brakes were used, it caused the front end to shudder and the steering wheel to shake. Front tires were out of balance as well, so the trip was full of vibrations. At St. Cloud, we switched to Ford Transit van set up for 12-15 passengers. Sat two rows behind driver, seating was so tight my knees were jammed into the seat back ahead of me. I am a male, 5-8, a normal size. Miserable ride to MSP. This company trying to squeeze maximum money out of riders. Drivers were superb and friendly. Poor value for the money. Take an Uber ride or drive yourself down. read more

Pickup ride had very uncomfortable back bench seats for a 90 minute ride from the airport to St Cloud. Caused passengers to bump and lean into each other at every turn. The return ride had better individual seats but the AC was useless and riders were all sweltering the entire way. For 5 years, I used Lakes Express regularly and booked flights out of MSP;however, since Executive Express bought the routes from Brainerd, I began flying from Brainerd because you cannot depend on Executive Express. Even if you book in advance, you are in danger of a shuttle being canceled if they don't fill or don't feel like running at that time (sometimes with very little notice.) unfortunately, following a flight cancellation in MSP, I chose EE to get to Brainerd that night. Staff at MSP was unfriendly Charging extra to drop 3 of 4 passengers at the Brainerd airport. Would have been a near-empty bus if not for the flight cancellation (or more likely, an unhappy passenger finding out his shuttle was canceled because he was the only passenger.) summed up, unfriendly, uncomfortable, and expensive. I think I might be able to rent a car for much better service than Executive Express. Executive Express, never again. read more

I have used this shuttle service many times over the years. It used to be Lakeland Express? The drivers have always been friendly and the service usually on time. I don't think they have updated their vans in the Las 10 years and it shows. The van today had shot suspension and a seriously out of balance tire. I think our old church van is in better shape. i Travel from Ft. Lauderdale to Alexandria 3 to 4 times a year. I support public transportation, I have used this service for more than 15 years, My Father, prior to his retirement, used it for years prior to that. Occasionally they run late, I have riden with these very professional drivers in sleet, almost white out conditions, late at night, and on the 4:30 am run from Alex to MSP. I have never missed a flight, I have always arrived on time (or close to it) and when they were late, I always was contacted by the service to advise me of the situation. They even picked my father up once (on 30 min notice) from his very rural home, to get him to a funeral on time in St. Cloud. While I cannot speak to the one bad review posted here, what I can speak to is that my entire family since 1989 has used this service, and we collectively have never had a bad trip, bad experience, or missed a flight or connection.
