My initial contact was an endeavor to reach the establishment by phone to discuss potential booking details. I was subsequently directed to communicate exclusively via text message for inquiries. Upon proceeding with text communication, I requested a brief phone call to clarify specific service requirements and ascertain availability, as I find a direct conversation often more efficient for such matters. I received a response. "I am busy doing hair, can not leave a client to take phone calls, that's why texting is better, you wouldn't want me leaving your color right in the middle to talk on the phone." While I certainly appreciate the dedication to providing undivided attention to clients during their sessions, I personally Would rather she take a call and explain she would call after her appointment was done, rather than text. She would need to be hands-free. I have encountered difficulties in efficiently coordinating and confirming an appointment through text-only communication for my particular needs. For nuanced discussions regarding service options or scheduling logistics, I find that a concise verbal exchange can often resolve queries more effectively than an extended text message dialogue. As a result of these communication parameters, I decided against using her services. Seems very unprofessional and slightly rude. My daughter bought a Groupon deal for both of us to get hair cuts. Since this location is near to her job she went one day straight from work. I tried an tried at least a dozen times to set up my appointment. Diane NEVER answered her phone. I left message and text her . Finally she told my daughter she was "feeling sick" so she set appointment for Tuesday at 2. I drove there in pouring rain from Pearland and she wasn't at the shop. I saw your compliment Diane. Tell me, what about those pictures says "excellence" to you? I think you meant to say "negligence". My hair is dark brown/black and it had highlights. If that wasn't obvious, I did inform you that day. What else did you need to know about "prior bleach services"? Ma'am, you absolutely fried my hair off, and then you lied about it when I asked. You should feel ashamed and even more so now coming back and trying to blame me. You left my hair under the dryer so hot that the foils were burning my face for at least 30min and never bothered to check the integrity of the strands. My hair, as thick as it was, didn't stand a chance. Fyi I'm still having to trim off damaged chunks from this incident. It will take another 3 years to restore the length. So satisfied. She's so friendly. I've read the negative reviews totally not makes sense. It's logical that she would charge more for longer hair (that's what customers should ask before reserving. I really wanted to give this review 0 stars, but the 1 star is for Diane because she is very pleasant and fun person to talk to. I really wanted to like her salon (it's really a barber shop). We had a great conversation. However, on my visit I became that one story of a terrible Groupon haircut. The visit started with a very quick consultation. We cut my hair to a length where I could donate and I asked for a LOB with long layers. Somehow I got some crazy layers that made my hair look fried, but my hair is not damaged at all. When I went to my regular salon to get my hair fixed they were in complete awe that anyone with cosmetology experience gave me that haircut. My boss who's a bald man could have given me that haircut. The lighting in the salon is not the best and my hair is dark, so I couldn't really see how bad my haircut was as she showed me the back until I walked out to my car and looked in the mirror. The worst part is that I had to go back to work for an important meeting, so I had to rush back to work and put my hair in a ponytail and hope no one noticed my disaster hair. Ya'll, I seriously busted out laughing when I saw the picture of the back of my hair someone took for me. Because my two options were to 1) hysterically laugh 2) break down and cry right before an important meeting. I was luckily able to get booked with a stylist at the regular salon I go to the same day right after work. My hair is now shorter than I ever wanted to go, but at least it looks normal. I spent - $25 for the Groupon - $20 additional because of "my hair length" according to Diane - $3 tip - $80 to fix it What was meant to be a simple haircut cost me $128, so ladies the lesson here is...YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. read more

I wish i could give this place no damn stars! First off i would like to start of how bad this place is, i was wearing a cloth mask when i entered this place and while coloring my hair she told me i will need to take that mask off as color is getting on it and offered me a USED disposable mask to wear, i didnt say anything and had her continue the service as i thought i would sound rude! I went to this crazy lady off of groupon, the service was priced at $60.50, she asked me not to purchase on groupon and she will value the price of groupon once i get there, i got there and she told me she would charge extra for highlights and since my hair is longer, the color came out very different then what i wanted but i stayed quiet and left until my to-be fiancé and all my family had bad reviews about it, I contacted her again and told her the color isint what i wanted and if she could fix it, she agreed to it and asmed me to come on Tuesday, i got there and she started cribbing about how she should have charged me $400-$509 instead, i still stayed quiet, then she took a really dark color and smushed it all over my head leaving me with no highlights, i told her i wanted highlights and i payed extra for it, she tells me very rudely ill have to pay more, i told her i didnt want to as ive already payed extra and didn't receive what i payed for! She starts to scream at me extremely loud and asked me to get out the store and when I refused and asked for the service she had me kicked out by security! DO NOT GO TO THIS CRAZY WOMAN UNLESS YOU WANT MESSED UP HAIR! I needed this for my engagement and she knew how badly i wanted this to turn out good and she made sure to ruin everything. read more

I have to say that I was impressed with Diane. She offered me a drink as I waited for her to finish up with a client before me. It was about 20min after our scheduled appointment until she got to start on my hair. I didn't let that ruin my experience though. She is so sweet and easy to talk to. I got a Groupon but she explained that because of the length and thickness of my hair, she would have to charge me an extra fee. My hair is a ton of work, and the possibility of the fee was in the fine print of the Groupon. I enjoyed my experience and in love with my haircut! The place was a bit hard to find, since it was in a nondescript office building, and I didn't notice any signs out front since I was coming in after dark. But once you do find it, it really feels like a very cozy little barber shop. Diane did a great job with my hair which I had neglected to get cut for a year. The massage during the shampoo was pleasant and she even took her time styling my hair even though I had come in late and there was another customer waiting. I bought the Groupon, but because my hair was pretty long (down my back), I paid another $20. The cut was fine, but the blowout left my hair very frizzy and pouffy. I didn't want anything flat by any means, but some curl with or without volume is completely different than a lot of frizz and puffiness everywhere. I understand this isn't a blowdry bar and a lot of stylists find it hard to blowout thick, curly and or ethnic hair. But usually my hair is relatively easy to blowdry and style.
