I recently had paint work done here on a tri-coat sedan, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. This was an out-of-pocket expense, not an insurance claim, so I trusted the shop to deliver quality work and take care of my vehicle properly.
I was initially told the vehicle would be ready within three days (dropped off Monday morning for a Wednesday evening pickup). On Wednesday, I was informed it would hopefully be ready the following day. Thursday passed with no communication, and I had to follow up on Friday, only to be told there was an issue during polishing and the vehicle would be ready Saturday by noon.
When I arrived Saturday at noon, the car was still not ready. I returned later that afternoon to pick it up. Once I got the vehicle home and into proper lighting, I noticed heavy swirl marks across all of the freshly painted panels, along with a visible paint drip/defect in the finish.
I paid $3,100 for the paint work, and due to the condition it was returned in, I had to hire another company to perform a multi-stage paint correction for an additional $600. At this point, I am nearly $4,000 into this job for a result that should have been done correctly the first time.
To make matters worse, I had an independent business measure the paint thickness, and they confirmed that the paint on the repaired panels is significantly lighter than normal. This raises serious concerns about the quality, durability, and longevity of the work performed.
While delays can happen, the lack of communication, poor workmanship (including swirl marks and paint defects), and now concerns about insufficient paint thickness make this a very frustrating and costly experience. I cannot recommend this shop based on my experience. read more
