Found parking right away, the office is on the main floor which was easy to find. Receptionists were very nice. I only had to wait 20 minutes to get my Xray which was done by Oneill who was a delight throughout the process. I will only go back to the Los Gatos location when I need Xrays. Great service.

They have a wider machine, and it is newer and faster than the ones I was previously in. My cervical spine scan finished in 8 minutes!! All the stuff is super friendly and welcoming. Hana, the MRI technician knew about my fears, and kept taking to me during the scan to calm me down, told me how many minutes were left, and that helped reduced the anxiety. And on top of that, they have a special device they install over your head with a mirror at 45 degrees that lets you see the room even when your head is facing up. That is a game changer for claustrophobia. If I ever needed an MRI again, there is no where else I would go, only SimonMed Los Gatos from now on.

I can't review the back office people or the procedures because the disaster that is their off-shore scheduling call center, has prevented me from getting a much-needed (injury related,) X-ray. My advice to people who can choose an imaging provider, avoid any of them that are owned by private equity. Simonmed was bought out by private equity in 2021. It shows. Reading other reviews, I'm not the only one that has had horrific interactions with your overseas call centers. Try as they might, the friendly folks working overnight across the globe, know nothing about where things are located. And the worst thing is that in my recent calls, I was "promised" that the x-ray services were available on a walk-in basis in two different locations. For the first one, they had the days wrong, and in fact, the private equity cash cow didn't deem in a big enough return to staff and x-ray tech for more than 8 hours a WEEK, and I was given the wrong days. The second call? The scheduler promised me that they took "walk in xrays 5 days a week," they were literally reading it off a website. After my first 2 hours driving debacle, I drove almost another 2 hours to find out that "they haven't had x-ray techs at this location for a long time." And was told to try another location next week. I was given the "local"number, but as it was for the other ones, that "LOCAL"number goes to India. Private equity has NO place in healthcare. This has been a painful disaster... I can imagine when I drive to the 3rd location on Monday, and other 2 hour round trip, I'll find out that they don't offer x-rays, either.

It would be helpful for them to provide a little more verbal guidance between transitions in the appointment and to check in occasionally if the wait is longer than expected. All that said, I'm more concerned with the imaging quality and evaluation being top notch -- which from what I can tell, it is. The office itself is older, but comfortable, and the customer service processes are not tech-forward or slick, but work well enough.
