This is a very busy practice due to the fact that Dr. Madala is an exceptional cardiologist (and likely one of the most respected physicians in the South Bay area.) I'm not sure what more I can say about her that hasn't been said by others. She is incredibly knowlegeable and always seems to be up-to-date on the latest procedures and treatments in cardiac care. Her office is well-run with efficient and courteous support staff to assist patients. The only "work-in-progress" seems to be the patient portal, which could use some improvement in terms of getting in touch with the office. Hopefully, those kinks are being worked out as I write this. read more

I'm lucky to have Dr. Madala on my medical team. She is among a prestigious group of medical professionals of whom I am grateful to be under the care of. It makes life easier to have all of your doctors know each other and be friendly colleagues so that they all communicate with each other for a smooth care plan for you. Her tremendous knowledge of cardiology pairs well with her care and love for her patients. Dr. Madala makes my comfort and well being a priority. I have seen her move mountains to present to the board of my insurance company to convince them that I need the rx for my health. If being the kindest and sweetest human being is not enough, her love and compassion for her patients will convince you. I refer everyone I know to her. I am very proud of her. I sent my husband to be cared by her as well. I want my husband to be around a very long time. Her entire office goes above and beyond in a genuine way. Alex is the cardiac ultrasound tech. He is amazing as well. I leave this review with much pride. A little helpful note*** Her new office is on Winchester in a beautiful area of LG. This building better suits her. read more

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Madala. She is an exceptional cardiologist, and it shows in every aspect of her practice. Her office is always full of patients of all ages, many of whom have been with her for years. No matter who I speak to, everyone consistently speaks highly of her. Even during hospital visits, medical staff know her well and have nothing but wonderful things to say. She has an outstanding reputation not only with her patients, but within the medical community as well. She is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and attentive to detail. She takes the time to truly listen and makes sure nothing is overlooked. She explains what is going on in a clear and thoughtful way, discusses a plan, and provides options so you feel informed and involved. Dr. Madala is really amazing and I was so lucky to have been accidentally assigned her, from a recent trip to the ER with heart problems. She's the kind of specialist who takes the time to listen to her patients, and to provide clear explanations of everything that is happening. Being informed is important to me, but isn't every doctor's priority. It is hers. I also like the fact that she's conservative in how she approaches medication and she's been monitoring my health whilst carefully reducing my heart meds. I feel a whole lot better as a result - no heart problems and less side-effects! read more

What words do you ascribe to a doctor, whose care, dedication, direction, determination of survival of her patients well being and one where a "thank you" is hardly adequate. Such is the makeup of Dr. Madala. I have suffered from a heart disease called Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, a death sentence until late. Presently there is cause for suppression of the disease, and longevity of life. The art of keeping and managing this disease until such time as the present, where new approaches encourages hope, fell well within the capable hands of Dr. Madala. I cannot find the adequate words to describe how thankful I am for Dr. Madala. Do yourself a favor. If you have any problems that concern itself with the heart, I suggest you see Dr. Madala. I saw Dr. Madala yesterday April 14, 2025. She greeted me with such caring enthusiasm it warmed my heart. It had been a while since I last had an appointment. The testing I had there was very comprehensive and I got my results immediately, whereas other doctors have me wait days for results. The staff was fantastic also. I suffered a dizzy spell and the receptionist made me oatmeal to eat. Very caring. I recommend Dr. Madala if you want a top rate cardiologist. read more

Dr. Madala is the best cardiologist ever. She is very knowledgeable, skilled and super smart, to the point that she can figure out immediately the issues and the solutions. She works so hard, she even gave me a call during the weekend to discuss my test results with me. I know that whatever diagnosis or recommendation she ever gives me she's spot on, I trust her 100%. My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Madala for several years now. We never had a complaint. She's an excellent doctor and a great person. She's very kind and always listens to our concerns. Her office staff are all very nice and helpful and always treated us with courtesy and respect. Most recently, my husband had a major health event and was taken to the nearest hospital. While there, he developed severe complications and needed to be transferred to Good Samaritan Hospital for a procedure. Dr. Madala tried to help him get transferred but by the time bed was available, he's condition was already very critical that he ended up in ICU. Since my husband still needed the procedure to save his life, Dr. Madala made some phone calls to help facilitate it getting done in the same hospital. She really went out of her way to help us. I cannot thank her enough for that. read more

I come from a family of physicians so I am use to only seeing the best doctors. One of the best ways to find out if a doctor is well respected is to see what other doctors think of him/her and where do they send their own family members for treatment. I always laugh when I see the ads for the places that were supposedly voted, "the best steak houses in America." Unlike those doctors who pay for ads in magazines or web pages that say they are the, "Best doctor," Dr. Madela is truly respected by her peers. My father was Chief of Staff of a local hospital. Therefore, he has insight into all the local doctors. When my father needed the care of the Cardiologist, he chose Dr. Madala over all other Cardiologist in the area. That says a lot. My father has been getting treatment from her for over 10 years. She literally saved his life. My father was asymptomatic. He went in for a standard stress test. Upon completing her exam, she immediately had him admitted to Good Samaritan Hospital. He has a complete blockage. He had three stents put in. If she had not diagnosed this, he would have been one of those people that just dropped dead. This was ten years ago and my is still doing great. Dr. Madala is not only skilled at her trade, she is also really caring. When my father was having dizziness I called her. She took my call right away. She said based upon his symptoms, he either had vertigo or was having a stroke. She had me dial 911. During this stressful time, she was there for our family. Luckily my father ended up just having vertigo. She really cares about her patients. She kept calling to check up on him. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Durga Madala. If you are under her care, you are in good hand. read more

Dr. Madala is very knowledgeable, dedicated and caring. I appreciate the concern to follow up with needed testing promptly.

Sr. Madala is an excellent Cardiologist. I have been a patient for 9+ years. She is competent, compassionate and very professional. Dr. Madala also cares about her patients' families. She never failed to ask about my children. Dr. Madala also surrounds herself with a vey capable staff. Her offices are always busy. I do not mind having to sometimes wait during office visits. She sometimes have patients with more urgent (immediate) needs. Having been on both sides of that care reminds me to have patience. I value her care so much that I continue to see her even though we have moved out of Silicon Valley. read more

Ever hear the stories about young healthy and fit 20 something year olds that suddenly drop dead? That would've been me in 2022 had Dr. Madala not caught what was going on with my heart and saved my life. Fast forward to July 2024 because of unexpected circumstances beyond my control I needed open heart surgery AGAIN, and again it was the good doctor that caught what was going on and saved my life for the second time. She is not only the best and most caring cardiologist, but probably the greatest overall doctor I've ever met. I've never trusted any provider with my care like I do with her. She works real hard to see her patients' needs met, so yeah, sometimes you can expect a bit of a wait during your appointments because everyone wants to be seen by her and she wants to make time for everyone. Trust me it's worth it. read more

Have you ever had a cardiologist who genuinely cares--not just during office hours, but even late at night when you land in the ER with RSV and serious complications? A doctor who doesn't hesitate to see your mother pro bono for a heart appointment, knowing she's traveled a long distance and can't wait months for care? A doctor who listens carefully to your struggles, truly understands your pain, and personally advocates for you--writing letters to your insurance provider to help you access a medication you've spent two years fighting to get? Dr. Madala is that rare kind of physician. I've been under her care for the past seven years, and I can confidently say I've never met a more knowledgeable, compassionate, and genuinely good-natured cardiologist. She goes far beyond what's expected--not just in her medical expertise, but in her empathy, accessibility, and respect for her patients' perspectives. She takes the time to explain everything clearly, considers all angles before recommending a treatment, and never rushes a decision. She even gave me her personal phone number in case I had urgent questions about my medications. That kind of trust and availability is unheard of today. I feel truly privileged and grateful to be in Dr. Madala's care. If you're looking for a cardiologist who treats you like a whole person--not just a diagnosis--look no further. Dr. Madala took me in at short notice, and quickly diagnosed my heart valve issue. She referred me to a cardiac surgeon and within 2 months I had an open-heart surgery to replace my heart valve. She has been managing my condition post operatively and her whole team has been great. I can state without any hesitation that she is one of the best cardiologist. She is busy, because she is so good, so she may not be able to spend a lot of time with you, but that is because she is efficient and very good at what she does. If you are lucky, you will get her to be your cardiologist. read more

I like Dr. Madala as a person and will continue to see her, but I wish she was more communicative to explain in layman's terms about conditions, ordered tests, and results. She could also use a good office manager, as the waits sometimes are "excessive", and also bring in a NP or another doctor to help out with patients. I wish I could have done the ordered tests in other labs as well, instead of her office, not because of the technicians, they are all actually quite nice, but because of the wait and difficulty in getting the results online, as many other doctors and labs do nowadays. read more

Dr Durga Madala saved my husband's life 4 years ago when every other doctor gave us no hope. He had a massive stroke just as Covid broke out, and we weren't allowed to see him or talk directly to doctors while he was in the ER and ICU. While in the hospital for almost 2 weeks before being sent to rehabilitation for 2 months, only the "hospitalist" will communicate with you on the status of a patient. Dr Madala was the only doctor who called us directly to explain the technical nature of his stroke, and what she was doing to help him. While the neurologist was even more important than a cardiologist at this point, that doctor wouldn't talk to us directly, and when in the ER gave us no hope at all. For the last 4 years as my husband has gradually regained the ability to walk, write, and be somewhat independent, Dr Madala has consistently checked him out at least 2x a year with ECHO cardiograms & ultrasounds of his arteries. In addition, she still searches for the "cause" of his stroke and will now send us to a specialist on blood clotting to see if there are any disorders because after wearing a Medtronic LINQ device for 4 years, he has never had any type of "episode". You will never find a more caring, proactive cardiologist than Dr. Durga Madala. read more

Changing my rating to 5*!! Before I had any need for a Cardiologist, a close friend of mine Mr. Mehrabi told me how impressed he was with a cardiologist's attention to his problem and the number of tests she had run thoroughly, to put his mind at peace. I am 86 years old and for the past 65 years I have known about an indigenes heart murmur from one of my heart arteries. Every time I have seen a new doctor, he has sent me to a cardiologist to make sure nothing is serious. Having this anomaly in my case, it motivated me to get the name and number of the cardiologist that my friend was so happy with, Doctor Madala. Five days ago, I got a horrible attack by heart beets and shortness of breath, at 2;30 in the morning, I was rushed to Samaritan emergency where I was told Dr. Madal has very competent team and associates for surgery, by noon all diagnostic tests and surgery were done, and I escaped a certain heart failure. In the afternoon for the first time, I met Dr. Madala with her charm and kind concern, giving me the impression of being my family member. I congratulate Dr. Madala and her outstanding associates in Samaritan Hospital, and feel indebted to all of them for saving my life. read more

This review was written by my wife, Carolyn: My husband and I are patients of Dr. Madala's and we both feel she is one of the finest doctors working today. She truly cares about all of her patients and their total well being. I've had a number of health issues over the years and Dr. Madala has always made sure that my situation is monitored and that I'm doing all the right things. When I've been admitted to the hospital before, she would come and check on me frequently and would quickly change things as needed to improve my comfort and care. She has clearly earned great respect from so many other doctors and hospital staff due to her focus on her patient's needs. Office visits are productive and never rushed. She takes time to listen and respond to any questions or concerns I may have. Most of all I have absolute confidence in her diagnostic evaluations - she literally saved my life when I came into her office some years ago and after having an echocardiogram learned I had an aortic valve on the verge of failure. Within a week the surgery was performed by the best heart surgeon anywhere (and of course, a referral of Dr. Madala's). The surgery was a success and I simply can't imagine not having Dr. Madala involved in my ongoing health care. I would truly travel hours if necessary to continue being under her care. So, I owe her everything. It is very hard to find a doctor that is as connected, as attentive, and as compassionate as Dr. Madala. She is very thorough and will do all the tests necessary to properly diagnose you. In addition, she will not be quick to just give you a script and send you promptly out the door. She is patient and will attempt to address your heart issues with natural and non drug remedies first. Also if you have a non cardiology health related concern, she will refer you to a reputable and an excellent physician that specializes in that field. When it comes to your heart, a knowledgeable, a concerned and a doctor whom you can reach immediately on the phone is very important and reassuring. Dr. Madala is highly recommended for all these reasons! read more
