This is my first negative review, and I wish I didn't have to write it. We dropped off our 2023 golf cart on April 25th for a routine tune-up. It is June 22nd and we are still waiting for our cart to be worked on. They claim they are waiting on a part that was supposedly priority shipped to them 3 weeks ago (after claiming they received the wrong part twice). I am sure I could have mined the ore and fashioned the part with my bare hands in the time it has taken them to sit on their hands and not solve the issue. Unfortunately for us (conveniently for them), we have already paid for the work, so their incentive to get the job done? Zero. They haven't reached out to us once with an apology or any kind of update, we have had to call them every single time. It was annoying and inconvenient for the first six weeks, but now I'm mad. I bought my cart about two and half years ago. Back then, the management was a one out of five stars (just being honest). Fast forward to now with new faces... Josh & Ryan have been phenomenal! Tina's been great too (she's been there for awhile). They really make sure you're taken care of and go the extra one, two, THIRTY extra miles to make sure you're happy with the product your buying from them. I just had my cart in for a tune up from them and got the report card that it's coming back home... it's like a kid waiting up for Christmas morning. They're a great team. I've had my cart for a little over a year and it's had to go in three times for battery issues. What's frustrating is they never call me I have to keep calling and keep calling to get anything done and/or to get a status. This last time it went in a week and a half ago and after our week I called and she said she'd have the service manager call. Which, surprisingly, he did. But he said he had just sent information in to icon right before he called which tells me they hadn't done anything until I called to check up on it. My neighbor has had the same experience. Possibly the worst customer service I've ever received anywhere. They worked on our cart. We needed brakes fixed, a squeak fix, to add an eagle eye and to upgrade the motor. We were told that would take just a few days. Actual service took 5 weeks, and through most of that time they wouldn't return emails or phone calls. My emails disappeared into a black hole. When I talked to them by phone they'd always say it was almost ready (just another day or two). Then they'd fail to deliver. When we finally got the cart back 5 weeks later, the eagle eye wasn't even hooked up. I guess they never bothered to test that it worked before charging me and returning my cart. Fortunately the delivery guy knew enough about carts to get it hooked up. I guess on the positive side they did at least fix the brakes and get the motor to work, and it did make the cart faster. If only they had managed to put it all back together properly. Or communicate. Or meet any of their commitments. So a couple of months later, I take the cart out after dark for the first time and find that the headlights don't work - no power. Is it a blown fuse? Nope, actually it looks like they never hooked the headlights back up after the motor change. Surely they'll fix that though, right? Nope. I send them an email asking them to look at it. They say sure, it's probably a simple fix and they'll send a guy out to fix it that day. He never showed. No call, no visit, nothing. So I ask again the next day. Same thing: they promise to call back and schedule a time to come by. Then I never hear from them again. So after at least 10 more emails (mostly ignored) and a few phone calls I finally get a response from them A MONTH LATER. By this time I've had no lights for a month while they ignored me. So now they're finally ready to look at it? Then they say they'll need to coming haul it in and we get an email estimate saying we'll need to pay them $183 so they can fix of their screw-up. Wow, just wow. How in the world do these guys stay in business? read more

Just wanted to say thank you so much!!! We were having trouble with getting a piece to fit for about a week. We tried contacting the company that we ordered from but they didn't have an immediate solution and after several attempts of googling we could still not figure it out. As a last resort, I took it to Excessive Carts to see if they had another replacement part that would work instead and they were able to figure it out what was wrong in just a few minutes and fix it. Shopped around at a few places when looking for a Cart. We went with Excessive after seeing their numerous carts and many options. We spoke with both Ryan and Rob. Both of them seemed very knowledgeable and were great with answering any questions. We ended up designing ours with Rob and he nailed it. Cart came out exactly as we expected. The price was right on target and there were no surprises. Rob had it delivered to us right on time. Have only had the cart for about a week but so far we are completely satisfied. The cart runs and looks great. I've had one question since we received the cart and Rob answered within minutes and got me taken care of. I definitely recommend this place. The carts are nice but the customer service and communication is still the worst in the business. I bought my cart and went back for several upgrades 2 years ago and the service was really bad. I heard they were now under new ownership so I called in this month to upgrade to a stronger motor and to have an electrical issue looked at and hopefully fixed. Once they had it at the shop to work on I would have to call and email several times to get someone on the phone to see when they would be done. Every time they would say they would call me in an hour or would call me tomorrow. Nobody would ever call. I finally had to just go in (the 3 workers in the business office that were just sitting around talking seemed very bothered that I came in to see if I can get my cart back after over a week. They delivered it finally. Now there is an issue with the electrical problem that they charged me to fix with a new solenoid. The problem was not fixed and I am not even sure if they actually did anything but they did charge me. Now I am dealing with the same thing. We will call you right back, we will call you tomorrow, We will have Gavin call you tomorrow... Still several days and no interest in following up to fix the problem that they charged me for. New ownership but same old bad service. I have neighbors that recommend going to Frontier Carts in Celina. From what I hear they are easier to work with but since I had bought the cart from Excessive I wasn't able to have Frontier work on the cart. read more

Overall excellent experience! No other company out there that will customize a golf cart like EC. Robert and his staff were very nice and accommodating throughout the entire process. I started with a basic model and changed my mind after revisiting the studio. Endless questions, changes, suggestions and Robert was super patient with me to the end. After my purchase, there was slight rattling in the roof that we couldn't fix on our own...I text Robert and within two hours they were scheduling my same day pick up to repair...I live 50 miles away. We were actually searching for a used cart and after googling, I decided to call and ask questions. Rob was extremely helpful so we decided to go there and talk to him. Once there, we decided to just have them custom build one for us to our liking. We only used the cart a few times before it stopped cold on us but when I called Rob on Monday and told him about it, he had the cart picked up, which is about 50 miles away, parts replaced and back to us by Friday.
