12-30-15…read more What a great way to start the New Year! The delivery guy bangs on my glass paned and wood paneled front door WITH HIS KEYS!!! I'm disabled with a twisted kneecap and when I get to the door, within a minute in which he could have waited....he leaves the heavy box on my staircase and is already inside his van/truck....backing up in reverse to make another delivery. Although he saw me standing on my porch trying to lift the big box from a standing position with a knee brace, trying to drag the bulky rectangular box inside. If I had lost my balance I'd be at the bottom of 15 stairs, worst off than a twisted knee. I'm letting the sender know. A big international retail corporation. I've never heard of Budget, their headquartered in India. They sure didn't impress me. Panache: UPS doesn't have it. Their new method makes one attempt at home delivery. After that they drop your package, box or envelope, WITH YOUR VERY PERSONAL AND PRIVATE INFORMATION ON THE PACKAGE, INCLUDING YOUR NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER...at one of their access locations. Which could be a dive restaurant, funky unestablished overnight so-called business, usually in a bad part of town. Where any number of people can view your private information. Then you, the recipient, has to drag your butt to whatever shady location, show your driver's license or ID to these strangers to prove who you are, risk getting mugged or car-jacked, get your box, package or envelope and make your way home by car, bus or walking. Wow! Remember that whoever shipped you that package paid UPS a lot of money to get that package delivered to you....but UPS only tried once. And you had to pick up your package. DHL? Whatever happened to them? FedEx - Not quite perfect BUT the best so far.

My license was suspended in RI because it was suspended in NC (old ticket from 1995). No cc payment over the phone. In person was the only way. I first talked to Tonya about the delivery at 10 am and by noon the bill at the DMV had been paid! Awesome.

My couch was not delivered until March 14th but Guardian Logistics Solutions is not at fault for the late delivery. The couch originated in Arizona and carried to NC by Hunter Logistics Solutions, who informed me that the couch would be late due to the company moving warehouses. The couch was delivered to Guardian Logistics Solutions on Friday, March 9th and I was given their number to call and schedule a delivery. I called on Monday, March 12th, around 9AM, customer service was very polite and informed me that the couch had not yet been moved from the airport to the warehouse. They explained they usually do not scan new arrivals into their systems until 24-48 hours after their arrival and to call back tomorrow to check for an update. I called again on Tuesday and was once again told that my couch had not been scanned into the system yet, and to call back tomorrow. On Wednesday, I was told the same thing, but this time they asked me when I would like to have my couch delivered. Being that my couch was already late, I asked them to have it delivered as soon as possible. Later that evening, I received a call asking if they could deliver the couch tomorrow (Thursday, March 14th) after agreeing to a time they stated that I would receive a call when the couch was about 30 minutes from my house. The delivery window was from 12PM-4PM, assuming that they would be late, I went into class around 11AM with the intentions of leaving around 1130, putting me home right before noon. At 1120, I received a call saying my couch would be arriving within 15 minutes. Although delighted it would arrive early, I was worried they would not deliver my couch because I live in a gated community and read previous reviews saying that they did not hold delivery times or if they could not reach the house they would simply leave. Frantically, I called their customer service and told them the earliest I could be home was at noon and if they could wait a couple extra minutes for me. I got home around 1206, and there they were, waiting for me! Overall, I had a pleasant experience with Guardian Logistics Solutions which I was highly skeptical of, after reading only negative reviews. I'm not sure if I was a lucky costumer or if they are improving their services under new management. The only reason I am giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because is because while the men who delivered my couch were kind enough to wait a few extra minutes for me to arrive, they did not help me remove the plastic or boxes from the couch and left it standing on its side in my living room rather than on its legs.
