But that didn't deter the man in charge from quickly assessing the noise coming from my car (while double parked on street). He was no nonsense and seemed honest and to the point. We picked up some brakes, at his recommendation, from a Auto Parts Shop in Brooklyn and quickly brought them back. He installed them in under 30 minutes and charged us peanuts (won't say how much exactly because I think we got hooked up because of a friend). Fast, easy, low key service. Yup, an A+ in my book.

They made some phone calls to see if they could get the part, but they couldn't. They advised me to get the part from Ford and bring it to them so they could instal it. Best of all, they didn't charge me anything for getting it to work. I know that's a small thing because, realistically, they really didn't do much, but it's that kind of honesty and integrity that I appreciate. The mechanic (I believe it's Ming) told me that they still had another half year to a year left on them considering that this is my daily driver. He told me just check it again next time I'm in for an oil change. Most recently, I went in for an oil change and had him check my brake fluid because it was within the timeframe of replacement. Ming turned down the work again because the brake fluid was still clean. If you know what you need, this is exactly the place to go for honest work.
