The Arborist with Arundel Tree came across as the most genuine, told us what needed to be done and what could wait. On top of that, their pricing seemed very competitive. Day of the job, the team arrived early with shiny new equipment, did a thorough pre-job confirmation and got to work. After the post-job walk-around, they mulched every branch and left the yard better than they found it. Highly recommended start to finish. My only gripe is the 3% markup on credit card payment... (At least let me earn those points!)

I would typically walk away from this job under any other circumstances but I think getting this done for you is the right thing to do. This job has to be completed the same time we are in the area. For example, they told us we could wait to have some privacy trees trimmed which made us feel like they weren't upselling us. They were great about making sure we involved our neighbors for a tree on the shared property line. They communicated well about timing of the work. On the day, a team of 4 or 5 guys came out bright and early and well equipped. They did a great job and put on an impressive climbing/ acrobat show for the neighborhood! They cleaned up the work well and got the job done efficiently.

I gave her my availability to accommodate an in-person estimate which was a 4 hour window from 11am-3pm. She stated she would call me in the morning to advise a more precise time. At 1:30pm, I CALLED THEM and again the same 'I-wish-I-was-on-another-planet' phone reception... and then offered to come out AT 3pm. NOPE. If the phone etiquette matches the service? HARD PASS.

There was a bit of an upfront delay as I waited to ensure their license was shown as active on the MD DNR website, but that is resolved now. Once past that, the work crew was out to my house within a day and they had the tree down and removed within about two hours. The stump grinder arrived an hour or so later and took care of all the stumps effectively. Benfield Tree Service's cost was competitive and the work was performed to my satisfaction so they'll be the first company I contact for similar jobs in the future and I recommend them.
