Like Brian L dated 07/16/2023, we also went through a few estimates and did research on if they were licensed, bonded, and were listed as contractor with the Nevada State Board which they were. Mike came out and did our estimate for the exterior of the house. His office worker Janae was real easy to work with as well. We decided to go with Excel because they would use the paint and color scheme our HOA would approve. We also needed to have some minor stucco repair done as well. Their price was also fair. Excel's crew came out once the HOA gave us an approval and Manny the main painter and his co-workers worked hard in this summer heat and did a real nice job! They cleaned up after themselves and completed the work very timely which exceeded our expectations. Requested an estimate through yelp for exterior painting. Excel Painting was quick to respond. I set an appointment for a walk around to get a final estimate. I accepted the final estimate (which was very detailed) and put a deposit on a Monday. When we bought our house the previous owners had painted several accent walls a bunch of eccentric colors like red and different Tones of blue. We wanted to have a professional paint job because removing the prior paint was going to be a challenge. We hired Excel Painting Las Vegas and they were able to come and do an estimate very quickly and complete the job within two business days after getting the estimate. They are very timely and efficient. We are very happy with our choice and the new house now looks great. We painted the downstairs entertainment area and stair case accent walls A nice neutral color by Sherman Williams called double latte. Well I used Excel the first time for exterior work, which was great. The interior paint was horrible. Over spray on the bathroom fixtures, clumsy texture spray and miss where I needed it . After the painter we contracted for our new house left us in a pinch by cancelling the job on us the DAY he was supposed to start, I called ExcelPainting (who had given us an estimate earlier in the week). Their crew was able to squeeze us in that weekend so that we didn't have to reschedule our movers and could be in our home to show Thanksgiving for our family. The work was great. Their crew was friendly and skilled. They removed all the necessary valances and outlet faceplates, and the few spots that needed touch ups were fixed by the painter coming out for a few minutes a second time. Janae (the scheduler/admin) is awesome, too. She's super great with communication and email, and Mike (the owner) responded to every text and question. I wanted exterior and interior painted. Jenae scheduled estimate. Gentleman came out and did a walkthrough of property inside and out. He didn't do any measurements or take notes. His estimate came back with a fair price with discount for doing both in and out at same time. Jenae was very patient with my indecisiveness regarding paint colors. Workers were very efficient and hardworking. As with all paint jobs, there we're touch ups needed that were promptly addressed. Dropped one star due to being up charged for hallway cabinets paint. I explained this was part of job, and assumed it was part of original estimate. It did take longer than I expected, however, there was a lot of trim on my house and I was using multiple colors. Excel painting recently completed a job for my parents. I called for the estimate and within hours Mike was at their house giving an estimate. The estimate was amazingly priced. The worker who came and painted was phenomenal! My parents are handicapped and unable to move furniture. The worker went above and beyond helping them move the furniture that I couldn't. On the last day of painting when I got to the house the worker was taking all the plastic off the cabinets and floors. All I could think was I have a ton of mopping ahead of me! To my surprise he cleaned up all the floors of any dust and dirt. On top of the amazing job done in my parents home, the customer service we received from Janae in the office was fantastic. The garage looks really good but the painter touched the wires on the sensor by accident on the garage door did not close. So Michael said he is out of town he will be by on Friday to fix the sensor he knows how . Friday comes , no call no show. Anyway to make a long short. I had to replace the 2 sensors on the garage door. I. Was not upset about that. I was upset that Michael never called me to tell he was coming, or not. read more

The painters did a very good job. My issue is that I asked them twice to use a Zero VOC paint. I guess they only use Sherwin-Williams paints. They only offer one that they later said was lower quality. Instead of Zero VOC paint they used a low VOC paint. I am very unhappy that they didn't tell me they weren't going to offer me a low VOC paint instead of a Zero VOC paint. VOC are volatile organic compounds and are toxic. They can be released from paint and carpet for more then a decade. I admit that they never agreed to use a Zero VOC paint, they instead said something along the lines of "you will be very happy with what we use". Well, I am not happy. I admit I was distracted at the time, I contracted them. So, I didn't pay as much attention to what they said and didn't check the paint when they came to paint. That is on me. But, I still do not feel I was treated well by this company. read more
