The tech called and said it would be $850 plus $95 service fee so I called a friend who owns a company 150 miles away and said what should this cost to have my unit cleaned . He said $99-$175! ‍ So I put on Facebook any recommendations and got a one man show company that came and cleaned for $99 and no service charge fee. ‍‍‍ I do have to say when I called SOS to cancel my appointment to repair they waived the service charge fee after looking at my scenario so the company does have some good employees.

In the end he suggested we use mini splits which saves us over a thousand dollars upfront as well as utilities cost as we only need cool one room when it's being used. One of the units had issues after a week and when we called him back, he came right out no questions asked and fixed it. He didn't charge us a dime and it's been working great since! The second time we called was when our heater went out. He came out and first looked to see if he could fix it. When he couldn't, he didn't just say yup it's broken, he showed me the problem and explained in detail what's wrong and why it needs to be replaced. Again the process was the same as last time. Gave me options and up front pricing. Explained each unit never steering me toward one product. It was a cold week and he squeezed us in 2 days and offered to let us use space heaters until it was installed. Lastly he cleans up his mess. We had actually called someone else when looking to add A/C and had them clean out our vents and they left a huge mess and lost 2 big jobs. Barwick wont do that to you. It's based solely on the booking process. I was able to book an appointment on Sunday for Monday morning, but they called early Monday and said they couldn't make it until Tuesday. That caused me to miss out on other companies that had Monday availability and wasted valuable time on something we needed done as soon as possible. They need to get their scheduling system figured out.

We were so pleased with the whole experience with this company, from the estimate from Bryce, the install by Dustin one day and two other men the 2nd day to the final paperwork with Shaun who knows everything about anything HVAC related. The people showed up on time and were friendly and very helpful. They helped answer our questions which must have seemed endless at times. We had great concerns about the price of replacing two total units, but they gave us a fair price and we were able to find good financing for this. The only negative thing that I would mention is in the ad that we saw, it said 5 year financing available and while we were wanting to go this route, we were informed that the estimate was based on a cash deal, not with financing. So they should explain this up front, because most people don't have several thousand dollars available to hand out for such expenses. Overall, we are very pleased with this company and we would highly recommend them to anyone who needs to have HVAC service. They have excellent quality products as well as the knowledgeable people to help with the install and upkeep.

Gillett Heating and Air Heating HVAC Spanish Fork, Utah, is utterly unreliable…read more I initially discovered their services through Rocky Mountain Power and spent over a week working with Brad, the salesman, to finalize pricing and scheduling. However, on the scheduled date, when the technicians arrived to assess the property to report back to Brad, I was met with confusion. On Saturday morning, Brad called to inform me that a gas line could not be installed in a specific area. I trusted his expertise and pointed out that I wasn't knowledgeable about these matters. However, he then claimed that I had requested an additional work to the quote, called "line height," which I had never hear of this and don't know what line height is technicians that came out. Suggested this. Never did agreed and didn't even understand. I took a week off work, flew into Utah on Thursday to meet with technicians to do it over. Look on the property. and was prepared to start the job on Monday, but everything fell apart. Brad was not only agitated but also dismissed my legitimate questions and wrongfully accused me of being aggressive when I sought clarification. I made it clear that if he couldn't honor the commitment made, I would find another provider. Despite his promise to call me Monday morning after meeting with his team, he failed to follow through. Frustrated, I reached out at noon and spoke to Ginger, requesting to speak with the owner, Shawn Keith Gillett. She assured me that a manager would call, yet no one returned my call. This level of service is completely unacceptable. I will not recommend Gillett Heating and Air to anyone, and I am determined to share my experience on social media to alert others about their lack of reliability and professionalism. This is BAD BUSINESS!
