Had dinner outside Friday night, hostess was friendly and we got seated quickly at 7pm. Pleasant outside, fire pit too created cool ambiance. The music was a bit loud for my liking and not a fan of the tunes playing but no big deal. Our waitress was super nice and our food came out quick. My chicken Caesar wrap was delicious, fresh and the dressing excellent, all balanced nicely in every bite. The chicken was fried, thought it would be grilled, but that's ok will specify next time. We chose this location because we frequent the Showcase Cinema here almost weekly. To find a restaurant that has good food and great service makes our life that much easier especially when its located in the same mall as your movie. They also offer a great gluten-free menu. The weekends are always busy here. We came here aroundf 430 since we were seeing a 6pm film. We sat at the bar along with a few other couples. We had a friendly bartender approach us right away asking what we wanted to drink. I had one of their signature dirty martinis and my hubby had a beer. They make great dirty martinis! We then shared their Evviva salad which was just ok this time and their Buff Chicken Pizza. The pizza was delish and came out nice and hot. Since we couldn't resist a dessert we opted for their Sea Salt Caramel Cheesecake. Boy, was it everything I had hoped for and more. Down to the very last bite! So grab your partner and head down to Evviva Trattoria for dinner and a movie. One thing to order is their house-made potato chips with 2 dips. Stopped in last week at lunchtime. The service was very good. The manager comped us an order of arrancini. They were pretty good. I ordered a club sandwich, my wife ordered. The sandwich was good, plenty of filling and fresh. The pizza was very good. The crust was thin, just the way we like it and the sauce ,cheese and toppings were plentiful. Served nice and hot. We came in not sure what to expect since this restaurant is sort of a local chain. Our amazing server Yvette immediately explained that it's a scratch kitchen and once we tasted everything it really showed! We started with chef's whim arancini, which was sausage and peppers that day. So good! Our cocktails also had syrups from a local women-owned business which was awesome. This place is like the Olive Garden 2.0; a chain restaurant with average food that will do in a pinch. My friend affectionately referred to the food as "generico italiano"... My husband and I came here for dinner with friends. We started with the meatballs. They were good, but just average at best. I've had better but I've also had worse. For my entree, I ordered the eggplant milanese. Our server tried to give me a chicken parm sandwich and looked very surprised when I said that's not what I ordered. How odd! This was a first for me and I understand mistakes happen so it wasn't a big deal. Both the server & manager were very apologetic. When my meal finally did come, it was just ok. I appreciated that the eggplant was very thin but it was also very greasy and not very crispy. The salad that came with it had delicious dressing but it was mostly greens and not enough pickled pears & goat cheese. Overall, I think you can get more bang for your buck elsewhere... read more

We love Eviva and it is one of our favorites to visit very regularly. We often walk in without a reservation during the week - although on a Friday or Saturday night, making a reservation is helpful. Service has always been excellent - very fast and friendly. The ambiance is casual - totally comfortable to stop in at any time. The food is fantastic! My husband has a gluten intolerance and they have a dedicated gluten free menu with SO many options - gluten free pizza, pasta, sandwiches and more. I love the veal parm and the pasta dishes. Nice menu of Italian fare - we ordered a few things to try - and most were great - 1. Mediterranean Falafel Bowl - 10/10 delicious! 2. Pizzas - we got a classic and a Margherita - both fantastic - dough was cooked well but still soft at the crust . 3. Pasta & meatballs - pasta and sauce were great - but the meatballs are definitely lacking in flavor . We also ordered a side of meatballs - and all were like this. Can only rate it a 1 star because we never spoke to an employee after we were seated by a man who came rushing in with a takeout meal from a different restaurant. Waited...got repeated angry glares from a server but no one spoke to us...waited a little more because we were hungry and they didn't seems busy...more angry glares as two severs walked by...so we walked out. Loved the clam chowder, Italian margarita, Gnocchi Florentine, and Chicken Marsala. We added on the meatballs--1 of 2 liked because of the sausage in them. Wish we could have tried the pizza and more of the menu as well. Lots of food orders with pizzas were being picked up. Comfortable seating, lots of TVs, great glassware, the silverware was a bit annoying with the ridges and the noises if you moved them flat on the plates--minor issue. Waitress was fantastic! I had the short rib risotto. It was great. The ambiance was nice aside from the screaming child (not the restaurants fault) Here's my problem, the other people I was with got pizza. Obviously this takes a lot less time than my risotto. My food came out 15 minutes after their pizza. Absolutely unacceptable. The waitress came over and said "I'm sorry we are short staffed due to someone getting fired last week." -- this makes me think negatively about this location. There was also an issue with the dessert, they ran out of something they said they had. You can clearly tell this place has minimal and poor management. It needs to step it up. It has a 3.5 on yelp right now and I definitely think that is spot on. The prices are reasonable and maybe even on the low end ... so that is nice. Go here for a casual meal but don't expect anything special. Diamonds are not forever. read more

Came in around 8 on a Friday night and was instantly disappointed there was maybe two tables taken (which is fine by me just very empty) but the interior looked like an Applebees. I didn't know this was a chain before walking in but you could immediately tell once inside. We sat at the bar our service was slow even tho we were one of the only people there. My drinks were ok nothing great though. I ordered a risotto and asked if they could do it with no mushrooms and they said they could do that and it came filled with mushrooms... we got meatballs for an app and they were flavorless and dry. We walked in at 6:30 on a Saturday night. We were told there would be about a 20 minute wait. We waited outside next to the fire pit and were called and told that our table was ready after about 15 min. We received great service all night and our waitress was very friendly and offered opinions when asked. She checked on us throughout the evening even though the place was packed and she had a full load. My wife and I both ordered an Italian Wedding Soup special. They came out hot and were absolutely delicious. Highly recommended. I ordered the Steak & Gorgonzola Salad. Grilled Mediterranean Beef Tips, Arugula, Romaine, Tomatoes, Pickled Shallots, Balsamic Glaze, Avocado, Creamy Gorgonzola Dressing. All veggies were fresh and crisp. Tips were underwhelming and flavor was pretty bland. My wife ordered the Eggplant Milanese which was Crispy Eggplant, Buttermilk-Herb Crema, Pickled Pears, Arugula & Goat Cheese Salad, Hot Honey, Lemon Vinaigrette. She loved the crisp on the eggplant and said all the flavors worked. We would probably go back, but it just your average run of the mill chain. read more

The staff is great and very knowledgeable about the food and drinks and the atmosphere is cozy and smells wonderful as you walk in. Went to dinner at this resteraunt for the first time on May 2nd 2025. Me & my wife were celebrating our anniversary so we had some drinks. I ordered a maitai & it came with a fruit fly. I complained to the manger & they assured me it would not happen again. I then ordered another maitai and assumed they had throw out the drink mix which would make the most sense & unfornatuely I got another fruit fly in my drink not realizing untill the drink was 80% gone. My food came at about this time but I have a very weak stomach so I could not eat it. The resteraunt proceeded to charge me for a meal me nor my wife ate or took to go. I would be very weary about ordering drinks at this resteraunt. This entire meal should have been comped & as this was our first time, we will not be back. read more

I visited Evviva Trattotia today as my daughter has a serious gluten allergy. Evviva has a vast gluten free menu. I like Italian so there we went. My inyent was to get the veal but Rikki (my daughter) raved about the pizza so I too got pizza. The pizza was amazing. She says that the pizza there is the best gluten free pizza she can find. Mine was not gluten free and ranks among the best I've had and I've had a lot of pizza in 72 years. Our server was excellent, attentive but not intrusive. Overall a very nice atmosphere. Meals were just OK, decent sized portions. If it helps to know, the company we were with, thought it felt more like an open air cafeteria than a welcoming, cozy restaurant. Sitting facing the other side of the restaurant this time, I can definitely see what they mean. I think this could be easily solved by sectioning off/partitioning the restaurant better. I make it a point to review everywhere I go, as I find it super helpful for me when Im looking for a good place to eat. Our first visit to Evviva in Hanover was a lovely experience! Greeted by Denise, or Mumma Dee as she is affectionately called by her employees, she was friendly, warm, and smiling which immediately tells me Im in the right place. We were seated in our seat of choice- high top table or booth. We chose a booth and were then greeted by Tori- our wonderful server! Kind, sweet, polite! Tori is awesome! Helped us choose drinks and brought a smile each visit to the table! Then after we ordered our delicious risottos and excellent pizzas, Denise came by again to check on our experience so far. We had the most chill, down-to-earth conversation! She is so kind-hearted and genuine! We shared stories like we were friends for years! She told us to join their rewards program and it got us a free dessert tonight! Now I cannot wait to come back with my daughter and enjoy Evviva again! Thank you Denise, and Tori! Stopped here for lunch while doing some shopping. It took forever to clear a table for us and when we finally sat it took 15 minutes for someone to take our drink order. During this time the manager was moseying around cleaning tables and didn't bother to see why we were not being served. We had empty drinks the whole time, the server barely came by and the food was typical of a chain restaurant that misses the mark. It was not busy and we still had to wait for our server to come back and take our credit card. Anyone eating out with a toddler knows you have minimal time to transition in and out and I had to end up taking the baby to the car while my husband waited inside. Terrible experience and definitely won't return. So disappointing since you'd expect better in such a nice shopping plaza. read more

This post would have been a 5 star rating due to the amazing staff/food and drinks. I really enjoyed my time and the atmosphere but my great experience changed when i saw the manager screaming and demanding a young food runner to run her food faster in front of the whole entire restaurant. For reference i was on the opposite side of the bar with a full bar and restaurant and was still able to hear every word the manager said. No server should be treated like that.
