This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel and while I did read the Yelp reviews, they were of older date so I gave it the benefit of doubt and said ok let's give it another try perhaps they are different.
The restaurant was tucked away inside a busy street in vietri sul mare, either call this town the end/beginning of the amalfi coast. Very beautiful hidden local town. The streets are filled with ceramic shops everywhere! So the ambience was really exquisite.
The service was not good. First, we ordered a wine from the wine menu and the staff tried and sell us their Evu branded wine! Luckily we were able to taste it before they opened it and I did not like it. But I did witness two other tables where they gave them their Evu wine! How horrible! Such a scam. Be careful here when you are ordering wine and make sure you remember the name of the wine you ordered OR else they will give you their branded wine, which I am certain there is a better margin!
For starters we ordered the 6 tastings, which had fried zucchini flower, eggplant parm, octopus salad and a few other fried fritters.
For primi, we shared pasta with gamberoni and sautéed clams and mussels. Followed by a mixed seafood dish of tuna, swordfish and 1 shrimp and calamari.
Overall, the food was decent, nothing spectacular. If they were not being deceptive with their wines, perhaps I would've liked this restaurant more. read more
