In all fairness I was offered a refund but only after I had already done the cleanup myself as I had not been told of a refund previously.

We used OC Best Cleaning to clean our small 3 bedroom house earlier this year. Our initial quote…read morewas $100, and that sounded like a great deal so we booked an appointment. It had been ~3 months since we had our house professionally cleaned, but we had cleaned our house ourselves since then since we don't like living in a pigsty. However, because of this, the owner of the business Bo insisted that we get the "deep cleaning" instead. Since we have dogs and we likely don't do as good of a job as professionals, we thought about it and agreed. This brought the price to $300-320. The appointment day came and 2 cleaners came. Everything seemed fine, although they seemed to be cleaning rather fast, since they had cleaned 2 of the bedrooms and 2 of the bathrooms in 2 hours and this was supposed to be a "deep cleaning." This is when I got a text from the owner saying it was "much more work than expected" and the total was going to be $450, 4.5 times what we were originally quoted! Bewildered, we tried to press the owner to ask what exactly was "more work than expected," because it's not like our house is a disaster and they had 2 cleaners finish nearly the entire house in 2 hours. They refused to elaborate. I pressed again, asking, "So a simple sweep of dog hair and dog toy stuffing amounts to an extra $150 on top of what is already supposed to be a deep cleaning?" The owner responded with, "This is more than sweeping Sam," and then sent a picture of some dog hair, dog toy stuffing, a glove, and a cable cord tie that had been swept from out from underneath our sectional couch (picture attached). I asked again to elaborate but they only sent more pictures of dog hair or dog toy stuffing on the floor, nothing else, and they never elaborated further. They only ever said we'd "like the results" or the workers were "doing a good job," never answering the question. I continued to complain after the cleaners left, asking about what they possibly could have done to amount to what they wanted to charge, and at this point Bo started to repeatedly ask if I was home in attempt to bully me into paying their exorbitant rate. Exasperated, I pointed to their website saying they have an advertised 15% off cleaning for spring cleaning, and if I could at least apply that. Bo said no, their deep cleaning doesn't qualify for that discount, but they would allow us just this one time, as if they were doing us a service. I ended up paying that amount, which I regret and should have just paid them the original, agreed to max of $320. To this day, I still don't know what they meant by "more work than expected," and I also don't know what they did that amounted to a "deep clean" as opposed to a normal clean. Since then, we've had other companies bring our house to the same level of cleanliness for under $200 (with tip!) in a similar amount of time. Do yourself a favor and avoid this pricey, unprofessional company. If you need more proof, check the other low-rated reviews here and see the repeated behavior yourself.

Dan came one day to scope out the place right away and gave us a very reasonable cleaning quote. Day of was what really sold his professionalism to me. When I first moved in, I asked for a DEEP CLEANING and it never happened. I'm all for cleaning…read moreafter myself but I hate cleaning up after other people and I'm short so I'm no good for high reach areas. Before resigning my lease, I was like deep clean or no go!! Negotiate for what you want before you commit!! #lessonslearned So I summoned my trusty Yelp search engine for quotes of Deep Cleaning businesses in the area. The move in/move out level cleaning is meant to make your place look good as new. European Cleaning Services was one of the more comprehensive competitive rates. I didn't like the flat rates, I prefer the hourly rate model. You earn what you do. Agris responded that his fees are $70/hr for a 2 man crew, minimum of 2 hours. For a 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, stairways, living room kitchen and more... it took 4 hours and 15 minutes = $295 They accept cash, checks, venmo or zelle. I asked for an invoice, so I can be reimbursed by the landlord ;) Agris and his buff younger assistant showed up punctually with all of their own cleaning tools. I mentioned we lived in a 3 story townhouse, so they had all the extra tools to reach high areas. Covid Safety - They had face masks and gloves to perform their cleaning. I think that is normal for them to protect themselves from all the dust and chemicals and yucky stuff. They started from 3rd floor and worked their way down. I was super impressed by all of the spots they cleaned. Areas I didn't know needed cleaning and plenty of dustttt coming down. Where did all of this dust come from?!?! And I could hear epic scrubbing. Most of the house was cleaned beyond our recognition. I can tell they are probably used to cleaning empty spaces more for the move in/move out cause I noticed some of my stuff was not put back where it was originally. And my shower head was pointed out at me when I turned on the shower. It would probably drive me crazy if this happened monthly. I was also surprised to see the mineral of the watermarks on my glass shower door still there. It was on 3rd floor where they started so it definitely wasn't because they were out of time... Oh well, not a big deal. I really appreciate that they worked extra hard to get the place looking brand new. Originally I guestimated that I would only need them for 3 hours or so, but they ended up staying for 4 hours and 15 minutes... basically crunch time til their next job. We tipped them extra extra for the hard work. Super nice team of strong efficient cleaners! I highly recommend them for the move in/move out type of moves to give your place that extra extra clean. I feel like they would be on the pricier end for just a light cleaning and having my stuff moved around drives me nuts. I will definitely keep their contact information the next time I need to sign any leases. I need that deep clean!!!!!
