Jessica is such a kind soul and amazing at her art. I went to Jessica for lip injections and decided on Restalyn Kiss. I wanted more volume, to even out my upper lip and to get rid of my gummy smile. I could not be happier with the results! Will be back for another round soon.

I entered into a serene and nicely decorated environment that invited me into what would turn out to be the best massage ever. I was greeted by Massage Therapist Extraordinaire Marleny. From the start I could see that she had concern, thoughtfulness, and a true desire to make this an experience that I would not forget. She became immediately attentive asking for any concerns that I may have had, Any questions, and the areas on the body that I needed the most focus on. After the consultation, she took me into a therapy room that I never wanted to leave. Pure comfort and a sense of atmosphere created an environment that lets you know that she is intricate in each of her steps that lead to the treatment that will allow her to be the last massage therapist you ever choose. At that point she explained how she would initiate the massage treatment, asked which pressure interests you the most, and the celestial vacation begins. In that session I learned that Marleny has gifted hands. From your neck to your toes she does not miss a spot. You can speak with her throughout the session to let her know of any areas that you want her to concentrate on and she knows just the spot that you are talking about. She massaged out every kink and knot that I developed from my stressful life and did it with experience, care and those strong yet gentle magic hands. As small business owners ourselves, we understand that when a business is just starting out, the owners can get stretched pretty thin. To compensate for the volume created by the Amazon Local vouchers, Marleny took me on a Tuesday even though her sign says she is closed on Tuesdays. I appreciate that she made time for me! She asked me about points of tension and was very thorough about making sure i didn't have any injuries or illnesses before she massaged me. She took me to the "Egypt room" for my massage. Usually massage places go with an East Asian theme, so I appreciated the unique theme! She has great hand strength and was very diligent about trying to get the knots out of my neck and shoulders. I had a regular Swedish massage. In the past I've come out of a massage feeling super oily from the products used, which then tends to make me feel icky. Marleny's massage oil/lotion did not leave me feeling icky! The space is new and very clean and inviting. It faces JFK drive but I never heard any car noise. Overall it was a great massage and a very inviting space, and Marleny provided very good service. I think we will be buying a package of massages and make this a monthly event!

As soon as the office is ready for you, staff will come to your car and escort you in. You must wear a mask. I usually arrive a few hours before my appointment time, so I have no complaints about wait times. I first became a patient of Dr. Downie 16 years ago when I was living in NJ and her office was at another location in Montclair. I needed a doctor who specializes in the treatment of African skin, which easily scars and hyperpigments. A few customers in my hair braider's shop recommended her. Dr. Downie successfully treated my melasma because I have not since had a recurrence. Dr. Downie is both my medical and cosmetic dermatologist. I drive over and hour and a half from Eastern Long Island to see her. She has performed on me many cosmetic procedures, which beautify my skin. I use the skin and hair products she recommends. My scars have reduced significantly, and my hair is now growing like wildfire. I have never received more compliments from strangers about my image. All staff are friendly and professional. I will continue patronizing Image Dermatology because of the stellar treatment that I get here.

Detailed Account of Negligent Service Formal Complaint…read moreRegarding Negligent Eyebrow Waxing Service and Subsequent Skin Damage Service Performed: Eyebrow Shaping and Waxing Time of Service: April 2025, Esthetician: T. Result: Severe skin damage requiring immediate medical attention, resulting in prolonged physical and professional inconvenience. During the service, I experienced clear indications of improper technique and negligent care: Excessive Heat: The applied beeswax felt excessively hot, indicating an improper temperature setting. Aggressive Removal: The removal of the wax sheet by the esthetician was noticeably aggressive and forceful. Immediate Pain & Acknowledgment: Immediately after the wax removal, I informed the esthetician, Treasure, that the areas above and between my eyebrows were extremely painful. Negligent Aftercare: I questioned whether a proper post-wax cleanser (such as rubbing alcohol) had been used. Treasure confirmed that "No" such cleanser was applied. I was only advised to use a generic ointment and Vitamin E oil. Upon returning home, the painful area above and between my eyebrows became severely red and inflamed. I subsequently confirmed that the skin in these blotches-on both sides above the brow and between the brows-had been physically lifted and removed (skin abrasion/burn). Current State of Injury: The damaged area has progressed from red to pink and is now a noticeable brown/hyperpigmented color. Permanent Damage: The injury to the skin, particularly above the left eyebrow, remains visible even after two professional consultations, indicating permanent damage and a high risk of long-term scarring. Personal and Professional Impact: I have been forced to stay indoors and rigorously avoid all sun exposure to prevent further hyperpigmentation. This has caused significant personal and professional inconvenience, including the cancellation of scheduled appointments. Initial In-Person Follow-Up: I returned to the salon to show the extent of the damage. I spoke with an employee named Emily, who confirmed the owner / manager was unavailable. Broken Financial Commitment: The business owner promised in written format to reimburse all current and future dermatology visit fees related to this injury. However, the owner failed to follow through on this commitment, and all subsequent attempts to contact them regarding payment have been ignored. Lack of Response to Third Party: I filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), but the business owner did not respond to the inquiry at all, demonstrating a profound lack of professionalism and accountability. This incident reflects a severe lapse in professional standards, commitment, and customer care. I have suffered a painful and lasting physical injury, permanent damage to my left eyebrow, and significant inconvenience due to the negligence of the esthetician and the subsequent failure of the business owner to uphold their financial commitment and basic professional responsibility.

Have recently changed to a different Laser Away location because of my experience at this location…read more Overall, the nurses and nurse practitioners who have done my laser services have been wonderful and I thank them! My experience was more so lacking and disappointing due to the customer service end of things. To start, on my 1st appointment was "tricked" into changing my package as a sale was going on. I was told that my legs would be FREE with the current promotion they were running. I was handed a tablet to sign but was not told or shown any price and didn't think at the time (which in hindsight I realize was naive) that I would be paying anything as I was told it would be FREE. When I called the center afterwards and Comenity - there was no way to undo this. So from the start, I was not happy but I still continued to attend the location afterwards - chalking it up to me being naive and not asking questions but the frustrations continued. Very often I would arrive to my appt and be told I would have to wait longer due to staff being out. I understand this happens but it was quite frequent and I would have preferred a call or prior notice. A lot of times I'd have other plans afterwards or work that would be affected. One time; I also wasn't even able to do all my services because my appointment time was delayed by so much. My last disappointment where I decided it was time to find a new location was back in February. As you know we've had a very harsh and brutal winter. This location opens at 10 and I had my appt at that time. I arrived 10 minutes early, which is standard for me and i believe the right thing to do. I arrived to the door the same time as a worker. She looked at me with a not so nice or approachable look and I said "Hi, I have a 10 appointment, am I too early?" And she said "yes!" And just let herself in- although there were two other works inside and a lobby/waiting area. I was definitely upset because it was freezing out and I could've been waiting inside. Initially I thought maybe this person was a manager or maybe needed time to get things in order before opening, but again, there were two other women sitting inside at the front desk. In addition, I come to find out she was one of the nurses - as she performed my services that day, which was so awkward. I was very upset after the interaction and thought it was very unprofessional and not a good example of customer service ESP considering the harsh cold and turning me away. But I am not a rude person and would never make a big ordeal, so I just took the mental note and as mentioned earlier this you could say was my final straw and I knew I needed to find another location. The main reason I am sharing my experience is so no one else gets conned into a "free" service and then be financially responsible to pay more. This is the most disheartening part of my entire experience. I understand that this not reflective as the entire company - as I had a great first appointment at another location.

This LaserAway location in Clifton has been one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever…read moredealt with. The worker I interacted with was extremely rude, and the overall attitude in this location is unprofessional from top to bottom. I've only been here twice, and both times the Brazilian treatment was done incorrectly. An entire area was missed, and instead of taking accountability, they tried to gaslight me by saying the technician "never does that area," which makes no sense. Anyone who has ever gotten a Brazilian laser knows they're supposed to move the lip back to ensure every spot is treated (something this location doesn't even bother to do). And the manager? No better. If you have an issue and ask her to call you back, or if she claims she will, don't hold your breath. She won't.call back, won't follow up, and clearly doesn't care. For this to be my first time getting lasered and to deal with such nasty, dismissive customer service is honestly shocking. If you're considering this location, run far away. I wouldn't blink in their direction again. There are plenty of places that actually value their customer; this is absolutely not one of them.
