WORLD CLASS!! SIMPLY THE BEST! From the time I entered the…read morespa I could tell that I was in for a treat. I entered into a serene and nicely decorated environment that invited me into what would turn out to be the best massage ever. I was greeted by Massage Therapist Extraordinaire Marleny. From the start I could see that she had concern, thoughtfulness, and a true desire to make this an experience that I would not forget. She became immediately attentive asking for any concerns that I may have had, Any questions, and the areas on the body that I needed the most focus on. After the consultation, she took me into a therapy room that I never wanted to leave. Pure comfort and a sense of atmosphere created an environment that lets you know that she is intricate in each of her steps that lead to the treatment that will allow her to be the last massage therapist you ever choose. At that point she explained how she would initiate the massage treatment, asked which pressure interests you the most, and the celestial vacation begins. In that session I learned that Marleny has gifted hands. From your neck to your toes she does not miss a spot. You can speak with her throughout the session to let her know of any areas that you want her to concentrate on and she knows just the spot that you are talking about. She massaged out every kink and knot that I developed from my stressful life and did it with experience, care and those strong yet gentle magic hands. It is a miracle that the leg I had been having nerve and muscle issues with feels as though she has healed it. I never wanted my massage to end. I only sit and wait for my next one. TRY HER. YOU WILL NEVER GO TO ANYONE ELSE!

As small business owners ourselves, we understand that when a business is just starting out, the owners can get stretched pretty thin. To compensate for the volume created by the Amazon Local vouchers, Marleny took me on a Tuesday even though her sign says she is closed on Tuesdays. I appreciate that she made time for me! She asked me about points of tension and was very thorough about making sure i didn't have any injuries or illnesses before she massaged me. She took me to the "Egypt room" for my massage. Usually massage places go with an East Asian theme, so I appreciated the unique theme! She has great hand strength and was very diligent about trying to get the knots out of my neck and shoulders. I had a regular Swedish massage. In the past I've come out of a massage feeling super oily from the products used, which then tends to make me feel icky. Marleny's massage oil/lotion did not leave me feeling icky! The space is new and very clean and inviting. It faces JFK drive but I never heard any car noise. Overall it was a great massage and a very inviting space, and Marleny provided very good service. I think we will be buying a package of massages and make this a monthly event!

Detailed Account of Negligent Service Formal Complaint…read moreRegarding Negligent Eyebrow Waxing Service and Subsequent Skin Damage Service Performed: Eyebrow Shaping and Waxing Time of Service: April 2025, Esthetician: T. Result: Severe skin damage requiring immediate medical attention, resulting in prolonged physical and professional inconvenience. During the service, I experienced clear indications of improper technique and negligent care: Excessive Heat: The applied beeswax felt excessively hot, indicating an improper temperature setting. Aggressive Removal: The removal of the wax sheet by the esthetician was noticeably aggressive and forceful. Immediate Pain & Acknowledgment: Immediately after the wax removal, I informed the esthetician, Treasure, that the areas above and between my eyebrows were extremely painful. Negligent Aftercare: I questioned whether a proper post-wax cleanser (such as rubbing alcohol) had been used. Treasure confirmed that "No" such cleanser was applied. I was only advised to use a generic ointment and Vitamin E oil. Upon returning home, the painful area above and between my eyebrows became severely red and inflamed. I subsequently confirmed that the skin in these blotches-on both sides above the brow and between the brows-had been physically lifted and removed (skin abrasion/burn). Current State of Injury: The damaged area has progressed from red to pink and is now a noticeable brown/hyperpigmented color. Permanent Damage: The injury to the skin, particularly above the left eyebrow, remains visible even after two professional consultations, indicating permanent damage and a high risk of long-term scarring. Personal and Professional Impact: I have been forced to stay indoors and rigorously avoid all sun exposure to prevent further hyperpigmentation. This has caused significant personal and professional inconvenience, including the cancellation of scheduled appointments. Initial In-Person Follow-Up: I returned to the salon to show the extent of the damage. I spoke with an employee named Emily, who confirmed the owner / manager was unavailable. Broken Financial Commitment: The business owner promised in written format to reimburse all current and future dermatology visit fees related to this injury. However, the owner failed to follow through on this commitment, and all subsequent attempts to contact them regarding payment have been ignored. Lack of Response to Third Party: I filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), but the business owner did not respond to the inquiry at all, demonstrating a profound lack of professionalism and accountability. This incident reflects a severe lapse in professional standards, commitment, and customer care. I have suffered a painful and lasting physical injury, permanent damage to my left eyebrow, and significant inconvenience due to the negligence of the esthetician and the subsequent failure of the business owner to uphold their financial commitment and basic professional responsibility.

Unfortunately, after purchasing the package, I had to undergo surgery under my arm for medical reasons. As a result, I was able to complete the Brazilian sessions but was unable to use any of the eight underarm sessions that were included in my package. Given the unexpected medical circumstances, I reached out to the Clifton location multiple times over the past several months to see if some type of accommodation could be made for the eight unused underarm session, but all they kept doing was offering me an ADDITIONAL package to pay for. I was told by the front desk that the underarm sessions were "complimentary" and therefore there was nothing they could do. I obviously would not have purchased the original package had I known that I would ultimately be unable to use the full thing due to circumstances outside of my control. I then requested to speak with a manager. I called the location numerous times over the course of several weeks and repeatedly requested a callback, but I never received one. I continued following up and was eventually told that my situation would be escalated to upper management. After waiting and following up again multiple times, I was then informed that a request had never actually been submitted in the first place. I was told that they would submit the request at that point, and I again specifically asked for a manager to contact me that same day. Despite this, I still did not receive a call. On top of all of this, I even emailed their headquarters last week and even after two follow ups I STILL haven't received a response. This entire process has left me extremely disappointed with the level of customer service I have received. I have repeatedly had to initiate contact, follow up, and ask for updates regarding an issue that should have been addressed much more professionally and efficiently.
